Great videos! I love seeing the design and progression of each build. Excellent work. :)
wtf dude. do you have too much time on your hands?
HAhah awesome! now someone that can calculate the time difference and make a graph?
@@danielbruin imgurcom/a/7SAUTjI put the dot on the link ;) i graphed it and fit it, it clearly resembles an exponential function. Maybe somebody smarter than me can figure out some interesting physical constants of the components in the system :D
@@Y-0 Ah, that's why my post didn't show? Your version is much nicer anyway ;-)
@@mauritswinters866 probably, i noticed my first comment didnt show, i guess links are banned in youtube comments? Haha thanks, its mostly just the program :)
Now its waiting for the first person that collects all the timestamps for each marble drop ;)
Remember I said 04:20. I’m dyslexic and meant 20:40...
@@Ribo138 haha good one
Replace the "magic component" with an escapement mechanism and a pendulum. That would be epic!
What do you use as the base of your tracks?
@@FlashDrive356 Its Black MDF
This is going to scare the hell out of you one day when the temperature changes just enough that the lift starts moving and a marble goes through the course at 3am.
I love how it‘s perfectly timed.
it isnt
Thank you for your original tutorial, it's now a great hobby that i enjoy😁
Awesome!
Epic build
you've got the best marble run videos on youtube! looking forward to seeing more of them.
For me denha has the best. But this is absolutely great! Thanks for sharing your art.
Beautiful implementation! Well done!
Love your vids. Keep it up man!!
I have got to make myself do something like this. So satisfying. Great job!!!!!
you are hands down the best mech style youtuber out there
Wow~~ It's amazing~~~~!!!!
Looks relaxing❤
Looks relaxing
congratulations to the successful master, the job you do ☺️
So cool!!!!!
Instead of the rotary damper, you could add a pendulum to set a fixed speed ( like that from a mechanical clock ).
💜 Amazing video! Keep up the excellent work! 💜
Awesome.😊
Very nice
Nice track, but we all want the magic component!
My first guess is maybe using a magnet spinning inside a diamagnetic metal like copper to induce smooth drag. My phrasing there just put me in mind of a crossdressing saxophonist...
Nice video
Reality shows just can’t compare in entertainment value, this is what they should be putting on tv
Now a perfect timed one
Finally another video from you😍
He posted the making of this track yesterday or the day before.
@@dgoddard thanks mate, totally missed it!
It drops a marble to slow but freaking COOL👍NICE build
You should make some to sell. Great videos👏
An interesting variation would be a flyweight governor hooked to something like a band brake. That way the dampening effect would be greatest at the start, and gradually ease as spring tension decreased. A slower start, but more consistent speed.
Good
무한동력에 가능성이 보입니다 good
Stupid cool

I want to see you make one that when you turn it on runs, call it 10, ten marbles too the top, then when the 10th marble gets up it triggers releasing them 1 at a time, until the last marble comes down, completing the 10 marble stack at the bottom shutting off the machine.
8:56 - epic
My favorite part too!
I love the videos you got but qhen are you going to post more? Especially about marble tracks I'd love to see some knew designs and mayabe techniques!
I was so close! At the 17.5 min mark it’s almost done.
What do You use as the gray base?
maybe you could make a clocklike ticking mechanism where the speed isn't linear to the force of the winding mechanism but a constant one instead
This would also allow you to keep track of time with marbles
@@MRtrax1000 marble run clock lets GOOOOOO-
Did you build it to time it accordingly so that on a fresh wind up, a new marble will start as soon as the previous one stops, or did it just end up like that by coincidence? Either way, awesome build!
👍👍👍🙏
It's been 3 years are you coming back I hope to see you soon!!
Yeah sorry! I still make a lot of stuff but not on CZcams currently. See my Instagram!
where did you go? ☹
I wonder if using wind resistance governor like on many clocks would ensure a more constant speed for longer? You could easily print the mechanism and try it out. That said, the rotary damper is a simple and elegant solution.
I actually tried that because I've done that before in this work: czcams.com/video/nX-RfSnBbSo/video.html
But the spring of the tape measure is very week what makes such a system very difficult. It worked tho but I wasn't happy with the looks. And rotary dampers are just awesome haha
@@danielbruin Can't argue with that - rotary dampers fascinate me. Consistent performance for thousands of cycles.
@@danielbruin Brother, it would be fantastic if you found a way to adapt a circuit that the passage of the sphere is lighting LEDs. Would you try? Brother, it would be fantastic if you found a way to adapt a circuit that the passage of the sphere is lighting LEDs🤩✨. Would you try?
how to reduce the noise from the ball rolling on the rails?
It would be very satisfying if the marble would go straight in the gear instead of hitting that last rail. But I guess you need to compensate for the variable speed of the gear.
bro why you not making videos anymore ?
This video is compleaty dedacated to a loop
Where did you go?
hay vãi
Bagus bro, kalau diindonesia pasti laku dijual. Saya berminat
What type of black board were the ones that you used?
Have you made anything new lately?
I know you labeled it 'magic' in the primary video, but how does the speed regulation mechanism work?
That small gear has thick, sticky grease on it’s bearing that dampens the speed of the rotation of the gear, a example of this is the door on a compact cassette recorder - these have a spring that opens the door when you press eject/stop and the latch releases it, this spring is quite powerful/highly tensioned and the door would “bang” open if the rotary damper wasn’t designed into it - a common indicator that the cassette recorder, vintage cassette/radio boombox was a poorly made, cheap crap, poor quality that would not last ☹️. Higher end/quality ones had the rotary damper designed/incorporated into the cassette recorder door hinge - where gear teeth moulded into a curved part of the hinge meshed with the rotary damper gear = giving it a “soft” eject. Later the door of front loading/lid of top loading compact disk players had it to show its manufacturing quality
Bro y u no post another video in a while? I sad ur vids are cool
make an football table!
How is it going so slow
the small gear has a lot of friction (aka. it's difficult to turn it)
This video is amezing👍
I know, not really new for you.
Hope, you are ok.
