- Hello Viewers!
Today I wanted to show you how I go about maintaining my Sur Ron.
I recently crossed 1000 miles on my Surron so it was time for some upgrades too. Luckily the Sur Ron is an electric dirt bike which means maintaining it is a breeze.
I started with changing the brakes on the Sur Ron. After 1000 miles my Surron brakes needed to be replaced. I ended up going with the Shimano H03A pads. HUGE difference.
After that I installed the GritShift Blinder headlight, my stock Sur Ron headlight went out on me while riding the trails at night ( • Surron Headlight STOPP... ) so that was a necessary upgrade. The GritShift Blinder light install went smooth and the light works great! BIG Difference ( • SUR RON X HEADLIGHT UP... )
Then, I cleaned, lubed and adjusted the Sur Ron chain, ( I am running a non o-ring chain so I do this regularly...) as well as check the Sur Ron belt for tension. (mine was good.)
Finally I went over all the nuts and bolts to make sure everything is torqued correctly and then I gave her a nice clean wipe down.
The Sur Ron maintenance is super easy to do, all you need is a few basic tools, and you can definitely tell the difference on the bike.
I do have a few other Sur Ron upgrades coming soon so stay tuned!

Looking fresh brotha, love the number plate 😁🤘
thanks you bro! 🤙🏼
That gritshift headlight is so bright and amazing great video bro
game changer. Thanks for watching bro!
I recommend putting a piece of cardboard by your rear rotor to block any lubricant from getting on your brakes otherwise your going to have clean and resurface your rotors and pads. I really like your chain cleaning method. Awesome video man 😄
Thank you 🤙🏼
I love your video but be careful when you clean your chain. I used to use the throttle to make it go faster until my finger went between the chain and the crown. I had a hard time watching you do this, it brings back bad memories. 😅
lol ouch! thanks for stopping by bro! I also started using proper chain lube after cleaning the chain with WD-40!
@@VoltedAdventures Np lmao, yes this better clean first then lub with motorex chain lube or something like that you planning to upgrade controller?
@@nzzo yessir, im gonna get a BAC4000 and now I have two batteries. My stock one and a Chi Endurance battery.
My plan is to bypass the stock battery so i can run it at like 12kw.
and when I want to switch to the chi battery and run it at 8.5kw for more range.
🙌🏼
I lost a few bolts, have you had to replace those? What size were they and do u have a link
which bolts?
Wd40 on chain wowsers
just to clean, then use chain lube
Don't use WD-40
I know a lot of people don't recommend using WD40.. do you have a specific reason not to use?
I didnt have a problem yet...🤷🏻♂
Attracts dirt, use silicone spray buy from bike shop.

Great video and good info. I enjoyed your technique for cleaning / lubing the chain. 🛢⛓
Thank you hope that helps!
