I was hoping it was a water fountain in the box. My cats love theirs. One of mine is very silly about how she drinks. She'll dip her paw into the water then lick the water off her paw.
Cats used to do this, and not only with water, but also with food. On of our neighbors had a nice, white cat and when she ate she used her paw as a spoon. Maybe in some cases they do this because they want to taste water/food.

I've had several cats do this, not all of the time though.

I would place a mat under the fountain because water will fall out of it and make a mess, the last thing you want is mold on your carpet or a wet floor where brother can slip and fall. Plus, the tile can get dirty quickly. Yes, a running water fountain was the way to go for my furbabies. There's also a device that you can attach to your sink where they sit on it and it makes the water run from the sink on demand.
Where do I get such a device?

That is such a cool water thingie!! My cat liked "forbidden" water. I'd always leave fresh water for her in the kitchen, but she'd go into the bathroom when she didn't think I was looking, jump up on the vanity, & drink from a glass of water I kept for her there! She always thought she was getting away with it - haha!!

We did have the same one and stainless steel one , the issue is, cats need fresh water every day. So we have to change, clean filters clean plastic bowl- every day, because cats don’t like drinking old water running in plastic bowl for days - water keeps in plastic bowl for few days do smell. Cat have nose 100 times detect smell better than humans. So they stop drinking.
So we just use simple stainless steel bowls, ceramic bowls and glass kitchen mixing bowl which we can easily clean and filled with fresh water every morning . Please don’t use aluminium bowl. We put water bowls every where around the house including where cats sleeps. Cats eat dry foods do needs plenty of water intake. If notice cats drink excessive water all day please visit vet to investigate his kidney.

You should put the drinking fountain on a rubber mat or plastic tray, to protect from spill over. Maybe add ice cubes to the tank especially on hot days. Maybe start with 2 bowls, 1 with ice & 1 without, just to see if Pusic likes one over the other.❤ My son's dog prefers with, but sometimes he will take a cube to the living room to eat it, then sits by the bowl waiting for more.😂
