First off, thank you for your service! Second, I used to help my husband in the shop whenever possible. Whether automotive or woodwork or gunsmithing. Today marks the two year anniversary of his passing. I miss our time together tremendously.
J I too lost my love one but years back I was 33 and she was 30. We did everything together,
Im very sorry for your loss. It sounds like he had as good a spouse as you did. Be well.
Everything in this life ends. I have decided never to deal with losing some thing I love again. don't let anyone in

Get a dog or cat - be very careful of most women of today - when a good one finds you - your pets is their first test, keep your personal income in your name and share only the living cost, equal rights means equal share of cost - don't make yourself a sucker...
There are still very nice wholesome people - but there are tons of two face stick a knive in your backside scumbags as well..

BruhâŠâŠ awesome video on a transfer case.
Ripping a transfer case, apart in your kitchen and Having your sweetheart help without screaming and yelling. Amazing.
Very lucky to have a wife that likes to help out. Not a lot of us are so fortunate.
đ
Same here, girlfriend rather sleep all day.. Had my 01 Sierra 17 years now, been more reliable/faithful than any woman I meet so far.
Yea Scott, I agree. I would like to find one myself...
Scott Baker lucky enough that my girlfriend likes to help with anything i do on my truck. she loves learning and is very hands on and will try to help with anything
Wait - Did she let you take it into the house? My Wife would have a cow!
I love how your wife is always down to help out!
Doing thing together like that keeps the fire burning.
Even that she spent the time with him is nice even without helping. She gets it!
it's just a bonus that she's smokin
Truckmaster! Your video's are what saved me from poverty when I found u on CZcams 4 months ago! I'm no Mechanic by far but with your help, I was able to take my deleted lmm that I hardly drove and only drove HARD on days off when oilfield was booming and and make her my hotshot rig for SOME kind of income just before losing everything due to our ELECTED officials forgetting they work for the people(not the other way around) and shelling/selling out the oilfield!!
Man Iâm sorry you were effective by that. Hopefully the demoncrats get elected out soon
I did my transfer case pump rub kit myself on my 2004.5 lly and mine also had that black rtv silicone around the magnet and the screen. Ended up going with merchant automotives kit with the new case half just to be on the safe side. Also comes with fluid too which is the perfect amount and obviously all the gaskets and silicones needed.
Hi, I replaced the transfer case on my 05 duramax after 260,000 kms with a brand new one. Had the upgraded pump, aluminum rear case and the brace installed for extra protection. Great video! It Was almost a date for you two and made me smile the whole time. Cheers and be safe out there!
My dear, sweet, wife helps me too, and she's blind. Awesome lady.
Major Props on your relationship with your woman sheâs a keeper. If only my woman would even take interest in just one of my hobbies I would spoil her rotten. But yes Very lovely couple We pray you endure together always.
Love the way your wife is there learning with you props to you lady
I don't have a diesel but the vid on the front impact sensor was spot on !!! Replace mine in my 2001 2500hd same as you , thanks
Awesome đ
For Starters, Thank you for your Service and I was wondering if I am going to run into the same issue, I own a 2005 2500 HD Chevy Duramax and I am the second owner and it is awesome that you have a lovely wife that helps you in mechanic work, she is a keeper.
better check it out. my 05 shot shits and I had no idea it had no oil in it. put it in 4 wheel and heard a big clunk.
I love watching how you guys work together sooo well.... Kudosđ
I have an '89 Toyota Van Wagon 4X4 with 310.000 miles and when I changed the TRX case oil a few years ago the magnet plug was absolutely clean of metal dust. It's my daily driver and is unstoppable in winter.
Number one thank you for your service , number two you are a blessed man , number 3 my duramax blew a hole thru it about 160,000 miles hopefully one and done
if you guys are not using JB weld and a case saver device all your work is for nothing. If you replace the back housing, don't use a used one. The new replacements are of a thicker material, but again, no saver, and it will go again.
Great video! Cant wait to see the upgraded transfer case....gonna make your truck that much better!
Wow, your partner is a keeper fella! Mine was pretty good with the concrete mixer and taking the truck to the dump with a load but would never allow me to do that type of job in the house! What a cool lady, cheers!
great team work, I'm not sure what room of the house your in but we remember well doing everything in my bedroom of my parents house and later my apartment. complete small engine rebuilds. brings back good times. thanks for your service
Thanks! I was in my basement
Because the case is magnesium it is subject to lots of expanding and contracting along with some flex. Because of that you have to use an anaerobic sealer that never completely dries. I had pump rub that I fixed with the Kennedy diesel repair kit. Almost 200K later and no issues.
tehbald ^^ yes on all points made. Anaerobic only for gear cases.
Are those transfer cases weldable because of cracks or boo boos, the magnesium a problem when trying to fix rub holes or cracks.
Robert V swap it and forget anything ever happened.
I just put a SYE on my Jeep NP231 and found out that the sealer is meant to release easy. I used the Loctite 515 gasket maker. It is really different characteristics compared to RTV sealer.
as a Veteran myself I thank you for your service, yes they do come from the factory like that! no gasket just a sealant, and I'd replace that case half cause once they start going........
I appreciate the input and your service as well đ
I love videos when Wife-MAX is in the Star Role!
I wish my wife was so patient and a good helper like yours.
Always love your vids man!
I'm not much on getting other people to work on different parts of my truck. And this case you are 100% right to do so. There are a lot of known issues with these transfer cases. If you Google it it will show you the list of all the things that other owners have experienced. The number one problem as that pump rub. A lot of times people don't find out until there's a hole or a crack. Good luck I hope you get your truck back together quickly.
So many things I love about this video. You and your wife seem to be a great team. And I really enjoyed seeing your uniform on the wall with the American flag. Very well done folks.
Thanks
I can see ,not knowing you ,she is really happy to have you home. And just in case you don't think we appreciate your work in the service the old man does. And what you're doing here with your truck is great. Thanks to your wife for putting up with this too...lol.
Thanks đ
Really enjoy your videos it really helps me on my Silverado, thanks for serving brother! USMC 93-97 semper fi
Awesome thanks
Man always love your videos very good on explaining details i hope my t-case dont look like that lol. Ive got 203,000 miles on my lly and as far as i know my t-case has never been serviced. But i did find out i have a water leak on my truck and had a mechanic look at it turns out my water pump is slightly leaking and the 1 of the o-rings on the back plate between the motor and transmission
Had an actual hole ware through on an 05 2500 hd gas at 160,000. I keep fluid in it and finally had it fixed thinking it was just a gasket. That one was just another gift from Generous Motors.
What I cannot believe, they still might be using the flawed system from the early 2000 s today!
Thanks for the info on pump rub kits and how to disassemble ect!
Cool video guys. Just want to share that the oil is absorbed by the skin, into the blood stream and processed by the liver. Gloves are good. Even petroleum based hand creams are not good.
1 Egg yolk, 1 tsp honey, and 2 tbs olive oil mixed is a great way keep your hands healthy. Soak 20 minutes before bed 2 times a week.
The TC pump rub issue had been weighing on me for a long time as well. So, I just serviced my TC this Fall on my 2003 Duramax. After a lot of research online and talking to a few suppliers, I installed a new pump housing from Merchant Automotive that has an improved design with wider footprint. My TC housing had some wear but not too bad for 180k miles. BTW, donât use that black RTV. Itâs the wrong stuff and will fail. Use a grey gasket maker thatâs designed to withstand ATF or hydraulic fluid.
Buddy of mine drove his on fwy in 4wd. It broke the chain that got wedged in case and locked the transmission. Amazing how much torque a Duramax makes only to transfer it through that cheap diecast POS New Process Gear transfer case. Don't worry my Dodge Cummins uses the same POS they all do it. I recommend using brass plugs to keep the steel ones from laterally welding themselves to the case.
Old video but a great one!
Thanks for the play by play !
Thank you for your service!!
"It tooken a beatin'.". LOL!!
I'm installing a cab light kit on my 06 lbz. Do u know where the factory plug is for the roof marker light harness?? I want to tap into that instead of jumping off the fuse block
If that is your uniform in the background I thank you for you service. if its someone else's please give them my thanks for there service. GOD BLESS THE MEN AND WOMEN THAT SERVE. HOO RAGH!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks I appreciate itâs mine
Sheâs totally in to you. Thatâs awesome.
Ya know you have a good wife when she lets you tear down a transfer case in the house!
Book calls for GM 12345739 or equivalent sealant. We use ultra black on all the t-cases we rebuild. The anaerobic sealant is used in a lot of GM cases as well.
Great video. Good to see your wife with you!
your a lucky man, your wife lets you take transfer cases apart in the house. Mine would lose her mind! thanks for the vids!
I did it in the basement đ
You should get your truck appraised and have a special insurance policy put on it. Just watched a video that DMAXRYNO put up and heâs just getting started on the process. Great work. Thank you for the insight and education!
Thanks
Do you know what the torque specs are for the fill and drain plug when tightening back up after doing a fluid change?
I have output shaft that is lose and so the bearing I saw in the case is that the only bearing that keeps that from moving?
Thank you for the vid. I didn't hear you mention it, but do you know if those thin metal pieces that were worn through need to be replaced, or does the new MA part not require them?
Thank you for your service firstly. Have you, or anyone reading, figured out what that busted off nub of metal is that was pulled out with the broken anti-rattle clip? I thought it may be the pin on the rear case half that the anti rattle clip seats onto, but they do not look the same. I may have to tear the whole thing apart and make sure whatever that is hasn't come loose in mine and worked its way down into the planetary gears while the case was on end for removing the rear cover.
I have a question about my used t-case for my 2002 chevy avalanche. Do you recommend a certain sealer for a leak? I have a leak and its around the bottom . Should I pull it apart or just seal it up?
Your wife really loves you if she lets you tear down a transfer case in her dining room on her dining room table. Also, thank you for your service to our country.
Nice! Yup mine blew up at 200k bummer. Pump rub. I had no idea about issue till it was too late.
transfer case went out in my 04 GMC 240,000 miles I sure wish I could go back with the old np205 cast iron that was gear-driven that's the best transfer cases at GM ever had
And not all of us done service in the marine corps thank you for ur service
On my 04 3500 dually the transfer case had the pump rub a hole in the back case with only 125,000 mi. I mainly tow the 5th wheel with a car trailer behind the 5th wheel close to 26,000 lb not including the truck weight. I even serviced the case two times,
I have an 09 with 130+000 miles and that is something I will have to look into and great video thumbs up
There's an updated bracket available that drops in there and reinforces those 3 pump tabs to help prevent the rub and cushion it.
That you for your service! You do have kick ass videos too!
I changed the fluid in mine at 170k. Wasn't bad. If I'm not careful it will slam into gear is that the pump rub? I'm guessing so it doesn't feel nice but sometimes unavoidable
Thank you for your service Sarge. HUA!!
Thanks
Mrs truck master and a duramax youâre a lucky fella. Iâve got the duramax I just need a mrs truck master of my own
Thanks for the vidio I'm getting ready to do the transfer case rub wish me luck. A little side note I was having an oil leak with my transfer case I thought it was the rear ceal I've replaced it three times seemed to fix it for a while then start leaking again while on a long run it turns out it's the plug on the drive line yoke leaking ,one machnic said I need to replace the whole yoke others say just replace the soft plug others say just silicone it what do you think
I wish I could afford a nice truck like you have. Your duramax is such a nice truck!
Before I brought my '07 Duramax...helped my Buddy fix hole in the transfer case worn through from the pump...140,000. Miles
I changed my fluid a few years ago. I went with the merchant auto transfer case fluid to put back in. So far no pump rub but itâs on my radar to do
There's an updated bracket available that drops in there and reinforces those 3 pump tabs to help prevent the rub and cushion it.
What oil did you use with the new t-case from Kodiak truck?
I canât wait to see part two, and what a built transfer case consists of.đđ»
Diesel Dad "built" wouldn't be my choice word for what anyone offers for transfer cases, more like updating or fixed. I'll bet 100% that he uses Ryan's Diesel Service/ Kodiak Truck for his case, and upcoming update video. Ryan's the man. We were having a conversation, and he told me that for something like 18Âą per unit, gm could have totally fixed these units. Something along those lines. I'll be going to him for mine when the time comes.
Nice wall art young man,THANK YOU. HOOORAH!
Thanks đ
Hey TM, i just recently serviced my 15 LML, did all fluids but tranny and coolant. They were just done recently. My question is... should you fill the TC through the speed sensor or just fill through the fill port. Read mixed things and wanted to see what you recommended.
How can I find a transfercase that goes with my Chevy silverado,is there a website to look up
Tell me about that anti rattle clip? Is it a must or when You do the upgrade can You leave it out. They are not included in some kits.
Hey Truck Master I know it was quite a while ago, but what was that scanner you showed the viewers in one of your videos and where did you find it again? Thanks in advanced.
Good video cant waite to see the rebuilt and cool your wife is helping you..
Good vid thanks for sharing, see you have plotter do you also do vinyl graphics?
I make and sell Duramax decals
Thx Mrs Truck Master
I havenât pulled my case yet but my transmission is literally filling the case with fluid , Iâve had some tell me the input shaft seal has hardened and is not longer sealing the case from the transmission .
Nothing beats taking apart your transfer case on the dining room table!
There's an updated bracket available that drops in there and reinforces those 3 pump tabs to help prevent the rub and cushion it.
Whatâs up bud love the videos keep them up, so I plan on deleting my lml and going with a ppei stock tune ( only doing 1 tune ) and I have heard of people cracking pistons with tunes on theyâre truck and it seems like itâs people using the heavy tow tune which is 60 hp over, in your opinion do you think I will hurt my motor just running the stock tune which I believe itâs 30 hp over?? Thanks for the help.
I rebuilt mine and it was $800 in parts but I was happy because the casing wasn't were through had two hundred thousand on it
Hi from Alberta, Can someone please helpppppp, I have a 2009 Escalade ext awd, I have to sun gears seems like only 1 will fit at a time is there a trick to get the suns on.?
What do you prefer for TC? Synthetic 5W-30 or a dexron 6 ATF synthetic?
Thank you Sergeant. Good, helpful video.
Thanks
That's about how much pump wear was on mine when I pulled it apart. I was hoping you would have dug a little deeper in so we could see if the shift forks were about worn through. With no fluid in it I'm assuming they probably are. Mine were and i had fluid in my case, lol
Iam at 247k on my 06 lbz. All stock never been touched. Mine should fail soon I guess but no leaks. I ordered a reman unit before it fails on me. I wonder if I should send my core back or have it rebuilt. Thanks for the video.
I would have just got a bearing kit, rebuilt it and did a pump rub, these transfer cases do not break very often and take a lot of abuse. Oh, and....check the fluid more often lol. I rebuilt the one in my LLY, not too bad of a job.
Does anyone make an adapter to fit an old np205. Steel gear to gear. Tough as nails
Thanks for serving brother!
Thanks
Always great info
Iâve rebuilt the same transfer case on my former 05 Duramax and on my 01 1500. You donât have to send your case off to have it rebuilt. You can do the same mods on your table far less then having someone else do it. The NP 261âs are very simple to disassemble and repair. In your video your halfway done by opening up the case. Good luck on your adventures with the Duramax, the best diesel on the road by far in my opinion.
Thanks brother
Nice video manđ
Does the pump rub issue apply to late model LML trucks as well
Oliver Knapp no 99-07
A transfer case service doesn't involve tearing it apart so obviously someone has been in there for some reason before. That transfer case has been leaking obviously if you barely got anything out of it when you drained it. Fluid doesn't burn up it just leaks out. Normally a drain and fill is all that is needed in a transfer case.
Yep, clean it out really good, throw it back together and put it back in. Reseal it properly refill it and it'll be good to go for another 100k LOL.
There's an updated bracket available that drops in there and reinforces those 3 pump tabs to help prevent the rub and cushion it.
Great vid.. now the oil pan replacement vid!!!
Where did you send it? I think I need to do the same
Got me paranoid now. I'm the original owner of my 07 LBZ and I drive very conservatively, only 140k on it, never been off roading. Could this be from driving rough and romping on it?
Transfer case fluid should be changed every 30,000 miles along with transmission fluid. Thereâs no reason not to check the case fluid level when oil change is performed. Pump rub kit should always be installed and grey rtv used. Good videos, keep us informed on the researching âbuilt transfer caseâ companies out there.
Thanks
30k?!
workct you Change motor oil every 3 to 5 thousand miles, why would the transmission, transfer case and diffs be any different. Not to mention power steering as well as brake fluid. All fluids break down due to heat.
@@j.d.martinez153 don't forget coolant. Noone EVER changes engine coolant
30k is the type of thumb I've always went by for trans, tcase and diffs. Earlier if you know you have got water in them or if the factory reccomends sooner.
Well yesterday I did my tranfercase rub issue I'm the first owner of this truck and the gasket was the same as yours but worse the screen was full of cilicone it was stuck inside the case in other areas ,my clip was mostly intacked but there was a lot of ware for only 72000 miles ,now to reassemble and put back in truck
Pump rub! Ripped mine apart before it happened nice video on it bud
This is y I love my 2wd trucks one less headache to worry about it
Gay
Where did you send the case out too my man?
