Please dont speculate...and yet there you are.... speculating. For me, I was diagnosed with two types of cancer, had no pain and one was advanced. The treatment was miraculous and a bit harsh at times but totally worth it. Renewed energy and life. So appreciative.

Thank you so much for saying so. With absolutely no family history of cancer I was diagnosed two years ago with stage 4 metastatic cancer.
My cancer was an aggressive killer just a decade ago but thanks to ground breaking new targeting chemo my treatment has been outstanding.
My cancer was caught during a abdominal scan and that saved to my life but medicine and research have also succeeded In saving so many.
As a brit living in the US I am more concerned the most US citizens but I know not to click on each and every news reports because all news can do at this point is speculate. The palace will release when they fill it is appropriate. There are hundreds of thousands of different types of cancers of different stages and desiccant is simply a survey and says no at this point. I will not bother clicking on any CBS news report in the near future simply because all this anchor was speculate and talk about secrecy.
This is a personal and a governmental issue and it will be and the public will be updated when it isdeemed necessary

They would check the bladder while checking the bladder. My husbands bladder cancer was found in the same way. They treated the bladder cancer and that was simple. They advised him to have a prostatectomy at the same time as a precaution...he didn't, and a year later, he had prostate cancer...and a 5 year battle.
Hopefully if doctors advise a prostatectomy, I hope Charles will do it.

The discussion of bladder cancer, even though speculative in this case, is important. It is a common cancer that no one talks about. My husband had it, and though he died from a different health issue entirely, his was muscle-invasive with sarcomatoid features -- an aggressive histology with a high recurrence rate. BC can range from non-muscle-invasive, which is treated by a drug called BCG and has a high remission rate, to metastatic cancer with a lower one, though I know of one man who has been metastatic bladder cancer for 11 years and has been in remission for a number of those.
The king should focus on his treatments now, but when he recovers (and I will assume he will) it would be a public service to use his stature to increase awareness of whatever cancer he has.

    • @shejean

My husband had bladder cancer twice; 5 years apart. Both times they were tiny cancerous cysts size of an eraser head (as Dr. described). They were removed with no other treatment except occasional ‘look-sees’; which he hated. Caused scar tissue which had to be scraped out. 🥴 But, cancer-free for years, now. Glad your husband is cancer-free, too.

Surely he will receive the best treatment afforded a man in his position. But he obviously doesn’t wish to discuss the matter, so why should we speculate? Be patient. Time will tell. I have an elderly relative who was diagnosed last October with lung cancer and had part of his lung removed a month later. Fortunately, they caught it in the early stage and at this point there is no need for further treatment, although he will be closely monitored every three months. An active man in the community, he’s back doing voluntary work and apart from getting tired quickly, he is pretty much back to normal activity. He’s 83 this year so that blows holes in the case for leaving it alone.
King Charles’s condition is also in the early stages and he’s been given a good prognosis, he could well make a full recovery and reign for years yet, he’s still continuing with Constitutional duties at home while undergoing treatment, he might also be able to do virtual appearances and meetings until he’s cleared to work.

Also, to be clear, the doctors have said that King Charles does NOT have prostrate cancer...so he is one of many men age 75, who do not have prostate cancer.
