I grew up with all 3. Shrek, Hoodwinked and Happily N'ever After, and I LOVED all of them. While yeah, Happily Never after is the worst one, it's by no means bad, while it lacked in story and animation...it was Just Funny
I grew up with all three of them too. And I can see why people wouldn't like Happily N'ever After. The animation is trash and it's boring up until the step mom gets the wizard's staff. But oh god. The second one is just a fucking disaster. The animation is somehow worse than the first one.
@@abrahamcortina6322 that one was pretty good too. It was cheesy at times, and had some really random Celebrities (Dolly Parton, Ozzy Osbourne, Hulk Hogan etc.) it had some decent laughs and the Animation was solid, though the constant Elton John songs were a bit Overkill, and this is coming from someone who loves Elton John
I will say to be fair with Rick calling her Ella, Cinderella isn’t really supposed to be a nice name, it’s what her stepmother and stepsisters have been calling since she does all the chores, like sweeping up the cinders, it’s meant to kind of signify her place as a servant to them. So having her love interest refer to her as Ella is a good way to show that he views her more as a person.
honestly I liked this movie as a kid and now I want to go back to it. I think its partly because there are so many little bits of dialogue that haunts my brain.
What are you even on about? Shrek doesn't have George Carlin as God on vacation. So.... It is closer to red shoes and the 7 dwarves than to shrek, and both movies have kronc's voice actor.
Honestly, I thought the movie was boring. I did like the designs of the buildings and of Moog and Mambo. But I felt that it conceptually kinda made no sense. But there was nothing I really hated about it except the attempt at narration at the beginning, explained more than it needed to and Rick being a brat at the beginning even then he mellows out a little.
Calling it a Shrek clone is a bit far-fetched in my opinion. It's based on fairytales, that's about where the similarities end for me. I always loved it as a child and honestly don't see a point in comparing it to anything. All that matters is that kids enjoy it, which the film did perfectly well.
I know and watch a lot of the popular movies. I have watched and I have watched some rip offs too because of DVD's, And tbh I like Ella's design and the personality that she needs a perfect prince Charming but it be better if she realized she does not need that prince Charming and fends and fights for herself.
After a glut of computer animated films in 2006, Happily N'ever After arrived in theaters as the second cg film after Doogal to receive a "generally unfavorable" ranking on metacritic.
I really like Happily N'ever After! The best thing to say about it is that Frieda is pretty hot. (There's normal dumbsville then there's Vanadium levels of dumbsville.)
I used to watch this movie with my family and I still love it. Idk why you and other people hate it :( Maybe it's not the best in animation and other things, but for us when se where little love it. The movie that i can say it's horrible it's the secuel of this same movie, the animation it's horrible and the Story is boring ( Sorry for my bad english I talk spanish, i understand a little your opinion, great video)
I grew up watching it and I loved it! ( tho I mainly did watch these kinds of movies because I was poor so dvd was the only way) I can see why people don’t like it, but to me this will always hold a place in my heart. So I agree with you!

@@MetalChickkk oh yeah the Sequel is a Dumpster fire
Where do you think it lacked in animation, though? I think it looks perfectly fine for an animated movie of its time.
What about Gnomeo and Juliet?

It's a fun movie. Nowhere near a masterpiece. But fun.
Hoodwinked was way better.
i love this movie, i don’t care what anyone says. it was really good for it’s time.
We are two :)
Make it three!!
Amen
Me too, I loved it.
ME
I never really saw Happily N’Ever After as a Shrek clone until you mentioned it
Ahem, you do realize this was made by the same creators of Shrek! So, this was their way of saying this is not Shrek!

I knew this wasnt a fever dream i made up! oh my gosh im so glad i found this video
The second ones worse lol.
The animation is 10 times worse and the script/story is also 10 times worse.
Wait till he sees the second movie
I thought this movie was awesome....when I was like, six. But over time, I saw the flaws in it. And, boy, were there a lot.
hellNO i loved this fucking movie
Me too
YOUR RIGHT.... kids do deserve BETTER 😐.
What are you even on about? Shrek doesn't have George Carlin as God on vacation. So....

I fell asleep trying to watch the sequel.
Dint realize Robby Keene from Cobra kai was in a animated movie

Yeah haha shrek creators ripped off their own movie
crazy cuz i love hoodwinked and happily n'ever after lol (and both the sequels)
You made this movie tolerable.... thank you
I actually liked this movie, But the second one was bad. Because of the animation.
This movie looks like if shrek and hoodwinked had an inbred baby together
You deserve more subs dude, keep up the good work : )

I’m glad to see you give a shout-out to Ponyo! One of my fav childhood movies and it’s criminally underrated
So I loved this movie so much as a kid, it was the only dvd we had in our car so I watched it like 20 times
What do you mean this movie is great
This movie was bussin, I loved it so much

Dude I thought this movie was a fever dream and then I saw this on my recommended
But the Producer of Shrek and Shrek 2 is in the movie
Do y’all know the movie has the same producers as shrek, so it’s not a rip off :/
Idk about y'all but I actually liked these movies, number 2 was my favorite
I like Valiant. I used to watch it with my cousins at their holiday house in Northern Ireland when we were kids.
2:15 That's the premise of Ever After High :)
This movie is not a shrek clone

Hi. Is It okay if I make 2 video review requests?
03:56 Friedaaa My queen
Also it was made by the same people who made shrek
Holly shit I thought this movie was a fever dream lmao

I genuinely like the concept of Happily Never After but I think it could have been done better.
The worst shrek clone is chicken little but this one is close
Why does people seem to have such a negative opinion on this film
I think the best character in this movie was Frieda
I watched it in German. Its better. It was more like a real fairy tale. Also it wasn't to much of a fairy tale parody. I like it
Am I the only one who likes this movie
2:52
Still better than Twilight
I loved those movies they are bye rip offs
How dow u its my childhod movie
First!
