I asked what some of your most out-there Pokémon opinions might be, and while some of them were relatively inoffensive others were quite shocking! So let's look through and see some of your most unpopular beliefs when it comes to our favorite media juggernaut!

    I really need to question Pokemon fans media literacy if people *still* don't understand Team Plasma, and Black 2 & White 2 actively make Team Plasma better by showing the difference between Neo Team Plasma and the Ex Team Plasma, how there were people who joined Team Plasma truly believing in their (disingenuous) goals and now have to conflict with people who they once considered allies, IN WHAT WAY IS THAT MAKING TEAM PLASMA WORSE!?

    • @elin111
      @elin111 Před 5 měsíci

      Because of poor execution. BW1 Team Plasma are a bunch of dumbasses preaching Pokemon freedom while enslaving Pokemon. BW2 Team Plasma are dollar store terrorists at best and Ghetsis stops having any motivation beyond wanting to take over the world because its Tuesday.

    • @Simple2409
      @Simple2409 Před 5 měsíci +32

      Team plasma was a villain team done right. I do agree with you that black and white 2 extended that with the split within team plasma to demonstrate that. I would also respectfully disagree with people saying the sequels were bad.

    • @nerdyfalco408
      @nerdyfalco408 Před 5 měsíci +10

      Playing devil's advocate here, even though BW2 are my favourite main line games, I kinda understand the point that: after BW, Team Plasma pretty much just becomes like any other previous evil team. The difference here, which I think invalidates the devil's advocate argument, is that THANKS to BW, Team Plasma is way more compelling and interesting as you explained.

    • @Garde_Mystik
      @Garde_Mystik Před 5 měsíci

      Most of Team Plasma were villains BSing everyone to begin with, and they were all wrong. I don't think the difference should be glamorized, when it was spearheaded by mostly Ghetsis's side but with a small portion of people who fell for his scheme.

    • @cle-loumehl6172
      @cle-loumehl6172 Před 5 měsíci +2

      I like both Team Plasma:
      - N's Team Plasma is run by an idealistic leader (N), who truly believe that Pokémon and Humans should remain separated. Ghetsis wanted to capitalize the movement for his own interest and dominate the world. Yet, facing the protagonist lead him to reconsider the idea, as he saw the proof that Humans and Pokémon can coexist in peace. The idealistic ideas of N weren't evil: the movement collapse after he resign. Much to Ghetsis' anger, as he lost powers.
      - Colress' Team Plasma is run by a realist leader (Colress), who seek data on Pokémon's strength at all cost. Ghetsis wanted to capitalize the movement for his own interestest and dominate the world. Yet, the data collected by Colress (mainly by dueling with the protagonist) let him understand the truth: that a strong Pokémon comes from the bond with its trainer.
      Basically, it says that neither the ideals and the truth are bad, only people's motives. Here, N and Colress are extremely idealistic and realistic up to be complete opposite characters. Yet, they are not evil: they just wanted answers and found out that Humans and Pokémon bonding together is what make them strong, leading to the same conclusion. The only real evil was Ghetsis: he never wanted to follow either an ideal or the truth. He just wanted to take over the world. But he knows he would have no follower if it was his plan. He is basically a corrupt politician setting up a puppet for the people to enjoy so he could rip the benefits behind the scene.
      As Pokémon B2W2 is the least sold of the franchise, I don't know how it can be overated: so few people played it. Maybe because it wasn't a success: only Pokémon fans bought it, therefore liked it. I think XY is the opposite: it sold so well that a disproportionate amount of players disliking the games are going to talk and be heard.

    Convergent evolution and regional "variants" are two phenomena in biology and are completely different from each other. A convergent animal develops similar traits to another species, while a regional variant is that same animal adapting to a different environment.
    That being said, I think regional forms did it right, while convergent forms could do a little more work to tell themselves apart from the former, at least design-wise.

    Every fandom I'm in does these "unpopular/controversial opinions" things, and while some actually get me upset or get me to share my unpopular opinions, Pokémon is just a funny point out of the curve in that regard.
    The fandom is just so utterly massive that not one single take doesn't have copious amounts of support. Still funny to see a giant amount of new kids getting in every year being contrarians for the sake of being contrarians, and elitist people calling you poor because you demand a single ounce of quality from people at the top of the gaming industry food chain. Can't talk too much about character design preferences because they are utterly subjective. Maybe being on the older side of the fandom has made me cynical.
    Ones I'll actually comment on is:
    - Gimmicks shouldn't be left behind on games in which they were introduced. If the entire thing was programmed once, it isn't that much of a hassle to pass it forward. Your game shouldn't depend on a gimmick to be memorable and that specially backfires if the gimmick is bad. Future games would actually have benefited from previous gimmicks. Horde Battles, SOS Battles, Battle Royales were actually fun formats that could have been used in specific story points and nothing would be lost from it (Ooops the evil team ganged up on you. Time for 3v3 or 5v1; Ooops all the rivals are in a tizzy, time for a Battle Royale). It also is instantly peak post-game content for free. You can immediately add one battle facility per returning gimmick and it be an extra optional challenge for anyone that wants it. That's what Z-Moves, Tera Types and Style Change are, battle formats that could be formalized.
    Which leads me to point 2:
    - People only have bad takes on Megas and Gmax forms (virtually the same thing in different shapes) exactly because of how early they were dropped. If a bigger pool of Pokémon ended up getting their chance instead of just the popular ones, no one would complain. Gmax specially, with Eevee, Pikachu and Meowth, showed that it was a matter of will to make the form and not limited by being a final stage. As much as I don't like Gmax mechanically, adding more battle appropriate forms for Pokémon essentially working as a possible temporary "Stage 4" evolution is a dope concept and it will invariably be brought back as gimmicks again even if Mega and Gmax don't.

    • @Pantherblack
      @Pantherblack Před 5 měsíci +5

      Rotation and Triple battle deserved more support and I remain salty they never got it. Inversion battle was good enough to become a Gym Leader or or Elite 4 signature and should have carried forward in some fashion. Also the Ride Pager was a great idea that was adapted in the clumsiest fashion imo.
      Megas might have done better if the popular, powerful Megas were handed out more piecemeal than they were... maybe. Z-Moves could have made a return though.

    • @emmareiman64
      @emmareiman64 Před 5 měsíci

      110% agreeing on everything
      Dang. Now that you've made me think of the possibilities I'm getting slightly saltier xD Battle Facilities based around all these different things would be so cool. In the Triple Battle one you would actually get to use a full team of 6. It would be something to get to go against every single (non-legendary) mega evolution in a gauntlet of sorts {and you know, the anime kinda sorta had a portion like that, so why not?}. Story events/sections that involve hoard battle mechanics or the battle royale bit... Dang. I wish we got these.
      Sword/Shield even gave you 3 rivals, it'd have been perfect to have everyone go at each other at some point. This generation was at least partially all about sports, so why not lean into that further? Have characters being sorted into groups, include a little round robin portion, perhaps players could face elimination through more than just 'not being able to defeat gym leader' or 'running out of motivation'. The end game tournaments (like Champion Cup) have extra gym challenger characters that specialize in different types (Normal, Bug, Flying, etc.) so you could do something with those as well. There's so much that could be improved, and realizing there's even More that couldda made things even cooler? Such a shame.

      I agree with all of this wholeheartedly, would be really fun to have some of them back, maybe tweaked a little, the only issue I can think of for bringing back every gimmick is balance, but they could just have some restrictions for use outside of any corresponding battle facilities (Maybe 2 a battle or something?), and don't necessarily need to be tied into the main story, imagine a mid or late game side quest to get a Key Stone or a Tera Orb so you can use the mechanic, could be really cool

    Another thing about the DLC issues is that especially with the sword and shield DLC the base game wasn’t altered the sane way a third version allows
    D+P are overshadowed by platinum not just because of the new Pokémon and extra content but because it was basically a delux edition that added quality of life improvements and allowed the Pokémon to be obtainable normally instead of being shunted to either a seperate map or random outbreaks plus allowed appropriate teams to take advantage of them (like flint since he’s the obvious example)
    There’s also the fact that third versions didn’t typically need broken Pokémon created to incentivise a purchase like the urshifus or ogrepon

      I don't think the idea of dlcs themselves are wrong, the big issue personally is just their implementation sucked, like i'm on the side that conceptually thinks dlcs for pokemon would be way better than 3rd games, but they just don't make the dlcs right. the dlcs adding more story is cool, adding new areas to explore is great, and giving you access to new pokemon is cool too, but the should first patch the base games to be perfect, then enhance them further with the dlcs, but they didn't make the base games perfect in the first place.

      USUM demonstrated why the Platinum style re-release was always a bad thing that needed to end. It was paying full price for 90%+ the exact same game with barely relevant changes that don't come anywhere remotely close to justifying the purchase again and they completely invalidate the base Sun/Moon. What was even the point of Sun/Moon existing if Ultras just replace them altogether?
      It'd much rather pay a much smaller price for an expansion to the existing game with more stuff to do than buy the same game again with 20 minutes of extra mostly optional stuff that don't make meaningful changes.

    Okay, I have a few hot takes.
    1) DLc marketing on having pokemon cut from the games is a nasty move post dexit. The home updates are fine though. But I know it’s a selling point and the Pokemon executives want to buy their eighth yacht.
    2) Team Plasma in Black and white only seem to have any staying power because, for many children, it gave the illusion of a debate. Well, that and being part of the trend in fiction where the activists are villains by stating that they are lying through their teeth. In reality, it’s clear that the lack of Pokemon abuse in the region outside of team Plasma (when the anime isn’t afraid to show that anyone can do that) and the strawman language of N and Plasma’s more delusional grunts does feel like the writers didn’t want to engage either. The whole region getting weirdly proud of saying that everyone has their own opinions without really dissecting that also gets grating after a while. It just feels very empty.
    2) Lusamine could be a good villain but two things hold her back. One being the idea that Lillie has to go back to her at the end and abandon the journey out of obligation to her. I know Japan has its own cultural values regarding parents and abuse but that never sat right with me. Frankly, I’m in the camp that we should’ve either played as Gladion or Lillie and trainer customisation could’ve been a way to show the children starting to find their own identities outside of her.
    The second issue is more of a rough execution aspect. Tying your only female main villain to being a bad mother and vanity isn’t a great look as it is an overdone cliche. Heck, the neglectful mother thing appears again with Sada.
    3) Silent protagonists are only great when the story is minimal. Honestly, the urge to have more complex stories and characters is hampered by the fact that, most of the time, the player can’t actually give their own opinions in the story. So, characters like Lillie, Gladion and the three friends from scarlet and Violet are stuck talking to a brick wall.

    My little hot takes would be:
    - I liked XY. It's a shame that this gen got scrapped and abandoned by Game Freak because they wanted the 7th gen to be released for Pokemon's 20th anniversary. I still feel bitter about it since I really wanted to discover other games in Kalos.
    - Primarina is too much hated for no reason, I get that the two other stages look awkward but Primarina is beautiful and Fairy/Water is an awesome typing.
    - PLA is a step in the right direction. It really made me rediscover Pokemon and having a full sense of freedom, to the point that I can barely return to former games that lock you arbitrarily because you don't have enough badges or the right key item to unlock other areas.
    - I don't like legendary Pokemon offered as mystery gifts. They lose all what makes them feel special and I really would love seeing events for them returning in the future (just like Darkrai, Shaymin or Hoopa...)
    - I wouldn't feel bad if The Pokemon Company released the games slower if they are less buggy, finished and optimized without needing additional updates. In fact, I think that one main game per year is a bit too much.
    - I hope interesting spin-offs will return one day or under another form. I miss XD, Colosseum, Mystery Dungeon and Ranger especially.
    - And finally (but it's just my personal taste here) I prefer Grovyle's design over Sceptile. I'm not much a fan of these strange "balls" on Sceptile's back, also it loses the beautiful long leaf on its head while evolving...

Just look at what happened with Gen 9's competitive run; there are currently 4 different versions of the competitive landscape that has been surprising each time. Murkrow was somehow topping, the new Pokemon with their weird new moves making names for themselves, Terastalizing making things surprisingly better than before, and then they finally gave Home and that era was familiar but different thanks in part to Legends, then came the dlcs with its own power.
    Making certain mons not be in until later and having a whole season of just a set is a cool and fun idea.

      Having pokemon return in waves does indeed make for unique and interesting competitive formats, I just want it to end up with all the mons returning eventually. It definitely makes it more interesting than the older format of everything outside of the region dex being available at launch. A time to be able to avoid things like Lando-T and enjoy what the base game has is valuable.

      @@Hiushisan This! The games are getting way too huge for a three year development cycle anymore, so give them an extra year or two in the oven, and schedule a couple more Home updates to make the rest of the old mons available. The last year of a generation should just be a complete free-for-all, a culmination/celebration that adds just that little bit of extra hype for what is yet to come.
      I reckon it would probably require a permanent team solely dedicated to making all the old mons look & feel & play right in a current game on whatever the console happens to be, but eShops don't last forever. Technology marches on and even the elemental monkeys will have to make the cut for a modern game eventually. So that should already be a priority for the most lucrative franchise in human history anyway.

    I don’t think cutting the National Pokédex was that bad of an idea. Sure, it would’ve been nice to have every Pokémon be available in the games, but to me, the most exciting part of a new generation is encountering new Pokémon, and I don’t really care about running into old Pokémon unless I wanna complete the Pokédex

      Personally, I think eliminating the national dex was needed. Pokemon is all about variety and balance. There are over 1000 pokemon now. Having all of them available in each game would be a monumental task and there would be no way to balance the game.
      Personally, I'd rather see games put a greater focus on new pokemon and create more new pokemon with each gen and only include old pokemon if they are updating them in some way like adding an evolution or doing a regional form.

    Dunno if this is a "hot" take or not, but... in my opinion, IV's/DV's (at least the way they were implemented) were a mistake. I like the idea of different Pokémon from the same species having variance in their stat potentials, but I think that the EV system (as implemented in Gen 3 and onward, where you can't max out everything) and Natures were both better ways to do it. My primary issues with IV's/DV's are twofold. One, they're hidden information; especially in earlier generations, you don't know which potentials your specific Pokémon has without using out-of-game means. Two, it's possible for a Pokémon to be a "master of all" (relative to other members of its species), and conversely, for a Pokémon to be strictly inferior to other members of its species; disregarding realism for a moment, that's annoying from a game design perspective, especially if your ability to "re-roll" (by catching/breeding another of that species) is limited (such as in the case of Legendaries or Mythicals).

    • @Ryodraco

    • @kr555wizard
      @kr555wizard Před 5 měsíci +1

      @@Ryodraco well for actual competitive pokemon it hasn't because there are some stats you want as low as possible for certain team comps, like special attackers having lower attack to weaken confusion damage, foul play damage and how much hp the enemy recovers from strength sap, or having lower speed for trick room teams, in addition some people specifically tune the ivs so that example they have a support pokemon move slightly faster than their dps, so they lower the dps's ivs by a tiny bit, even if the support pokemon's species is normally slower than the dps to the point where evs alone can't fix it.

    • @emperorcubone
      @emperorcubone  Před 5 měsíci +1

      I think abilities and natures (not to mention EV investment) could be more than enough variation in species to make two Pokemon different, so I agree; individuals shouldn't be punished by having unchangeable awful stats to make them unusable...

    • @djkates1916
      @djkates1916 Před 5 měsíci

      @@Ryodraco In addition to what kr555wizard pointed out, I would also say that if the "fix" for something is to give the player a way to undo it, that's usually a pretty strong indication that a mistake has been made. On top of that, Hyper Training at best only lessens the problem, because some Pokémon will need to Hyper Train more than others. If you got bad rolls for your IV's/DV's and have to Hyper Train to get those values up, you're still getting punished for something you had no control over, even if not as severely.

    -I want a Let's Go Johto and a remake of HG/SS on the Switch or next console.
    -The story in Legends Arceus was so intolerable for me. They blame you for everything, make you solve all the problems and do all the work, threaten to kick you out of the village if you don't... then you're trapped there forever with no going back to your original life/timeline.

You could have gone and fully embraced the RPG/D&D aspects by either enhancing those traits further, or twisting things and giving the starters a whole different class all together. Could have even given each starter 2 megas like Charizard & Mewtwo. You could have made Chesnaught into a Druid or a Barbarian instead of a Knight or Paladin. Perhaps even a Cleric? Delphox could have gotten a mega form that made it into a Rogue or an Artificer. Greninja could have had an Archer based Mega (Decidueye didn't exist yet. I DO like dlc more than I like third versions. For a few reasons. The first, is that if I was into pokemon when third versions were a thing I would just never get them. Even when I was going through and retroactively playing the older games I was only able to find a copy of pearl, and to this day I feel no need to ever buy and play platinum. And sales show that a lot of people feel the same as I do since third versions never sold as well despite being "so beloved". Game+dlc is 90 bucks but game+game is 120. Also, at least for scarlet and violet, I'm pretty attached to my team and I wouldn't want to build a second one in paldea. I if you do want to try out a new team dlc doesn't stop you. I did that for the swsh dlc. The moment I saw zubat would be available I boxed everyone but roserade for the goal of making an all poison team.

      For me, and many others, the point of building a team is to USE them throughout a journey; watch them grow, challenge strong trainers, and see actual progression. Simply grinding them up after you've already beaten everything tells you nothing about how they actually perform in battle, and there's no satisfaction other than having it for the Dex.
      It was especially fun to trade over Pokemon that weren't available in the game yet to try them out early, now we just have the opposite where you can't really "try" anything, only check it off a list...

      Taking my nostalgia glasses off for a minute, but yeah, GSC undeniably has the worst level progression in the series. And I think it does flat out the worst job at actually promoting its own new Pokémon. Half of the gym leaders' aces are from Kanto, and _so_ many mons are difficult to find, or are found way too late in the game to even be relevant. Also, there simply isn't enough EXP from the trainers available to be on par with the level spike you face in the Elite Four and onward. Especially when it comes to facing Red on Mt. Silver.

    I confess, when Scarlet and Violet was announced and told us about Terastilization, I went so far as to claim that it was just watered down Dynamaxing, and I went in expecting to hate it. But I found myself loving it. A lot more than I should. Compared to the other gimmicks, it is by far the best and most viable one yet (and before it, I thought I'd die on the Mega Evolution is KING hill). It adds so much variety in battles (now more than ever with the Stellar type being added), making for predictions, guessing games, team building, team countering, and all that other fun stuff about competitive battling that MAKES me want to get back into competitive battling. Mega Evolution made things stale and predictable, people just building around the same overpowered Megas, Z-Moves were a one time nuke button that added only momentary excitement, and Dynamaxing was just who could hit the Nuke button first. Terastilizing adds so much more to a battle that makes them feel fresh and fun again.

    My first hot takes is that Pokemon fans need to stop complaining about the different ways people want to play the games. Some people want to play with shift or set mode, some people want to do a nuzlockez, some want to have Exp Share off/on, some people want to grind, etc. For example, I to be able to turn Exp Share off, and I'm immediately hit with "Why do you like grinding for HOURS?!" Why do assume that I'm grinding, let alone for hours? I just don't want to be overleveled or be forced to switch my team up after every route. Plus, I like being able to replay games with different teams. I've used multiple party members while playing Let's Go, Shield, Legends, and Violet on my first playthrough, and so I've used or caught most of the Pokemon in the game already. There's no incentive for me to replay these games because I already used all the new Pokemon.
    My final hot take is that Pokemon was never grindy to begin with. I've played Gens 1-9, starting with Gen 4, the most "grindy" gen by fans, and I've never needed to grind once just to be able to beat a Pokemon game. The reason it was seen as "grindy" was because we were dumb kids who didn't know how to play the game. Once you know about type advantage and stats and etc, you should never struggle while playing Pokemon. I played Platinum (overrated game, btw) for the first time as an adult with people hyping it up to be super difficult, and for me, it was easy.

    • @thecod2345
      @thecod2345 Před 5 měsíci

      I definitely get the more grinding. It’s not necessarily about wasting time but investment. If you put specific time into raising your vulpix suddenly that vulpix has a story to you and it matters. If you just evolve something from charmander to charizard and you didn’t send it into battle once than what was the point. Who cares about it because you effectively just raised it up as a pawn. Additionally, the less exp allowed for greater difficulty even if it was a bit artificial. Nowadays you can sleep through most of the game and occasionally have to wake up for a quick second only to go back to sleep. The real insult was removing the exp share options and set mode. They only provided options to people who find the game being harder to be more satisfying, but ig Gamefreak want you to have fun their way (the way that I end up forgetting the entire game after 2 weeks of finishing or just put it down because it’s so boring).
      For the record though, this does not apply to competitive Pokémon. As far as competitive goes they should make that with as low a barrier to entry as possible. I’m just strictly talking about the story/maingame content and postgame content that doesn’t include competitive fights.

    • @kr555wizard
      @kr555wizard Před 5 měsíci

      I personally can somewhat understand because some people enjoy grinding as a way to pass time, having no pressure in completing the story, in older games you could grind a while longer and still not end up too over powered but in the newer ones its way easier to end up over powered so the people who enjoyed grinding to pass the time might not like how easy it became. I'm personally in the middle where if i have nothing better to do and i'm still not yet in the post game, then i'll grind older pokemon games so that i'm a few levels ahead of the next gym with every team member, even if i could have beaten it with my current levels, and if i'm busy i'll just go straight to gyms

    • @jpcsdutra
      @jpcsdutra Před 5 měsíci

      It's just that there is no ballance. Sure, if you need to grind on things that are 40 levels lower than you it is a bore, but if it boils down to "I hate doing the basic gameplay loop of this game" then you're playing the wrong game. Doing Pokémon Battles is the core of Pokémon and no game should feel better the less of it you need to do.
      Trainer rematches and a lower leveling curve are a better way to do it than just chucking away rare candies and making exp worth six times more.

    The problem with Regional Variants, along with convergent mons and paradox mons, is that they just simply aren't creative as making new pokemon that share aspects with other existing pokemon while still retaining their own identities.
    For instance, Black and White made numerous pokemon that exist as obvious counterparts to other pokemon, Konkeldurr, Purrloin, Gigalith, Noibat, etc., and each of these pokemon may be compared to their original counterparts, but they manage to still have their own unique appearances and identities. They're able to resemble other pokemon while having far more unique Lore. Their stat spreads and move pools are also able to be far more different, allowing them to have possible completely unique playstyles from their counterparts or fill their own niche.
    Alternate forms of existing Pokémon often result in the original pokemon being overshadowed because the alternate forms might have better state spreads or movepools, they may have better abilities, and some may even have evolutions unique to their regional variant. Linoone and Farfetch'd for instance don't get buffed by having alternate forms with unique evos because they can't evolve into those evos and they don't get the eviolite perk, meaning that there's no reason to want the originals over their new prettier variants when it comes to performance. The best regional forms to me are ones like Exeggutor and Raichu, where the original can branch out into each possible version akin to Bellosom and Politoed,meaning that the player picks their preferred version (in theory) from the same general branch instead of having to hard commit to a specific version from the moment they pick the first stage version.

    Off topics but i have a video suggestion:
    What if Pokemon had a hidden type? And no, not like Tera types. I mean what if like with hidden abilities some Pokemon had a different secondary typing or where just pure one that was rare for them to be?
    Like with Kanto Pokemon Geodude being Rock/Fighting? Muk getting the water type or Gengar getting the dark typing. With small but noticable changes to theor designs to reflect it.

    I can kind of see an argument for being against the special physical split. As time goes on, we get more and more physical and special options for every type. Being a mixed attacker is becoming more and more niche. I think it would be cool if they never exactly went back on this, but instead made it rare to have, say a physical fire type unless your a fire type, or a special fighting type unless you are a fighting type. Therefore, to have maximum coverage, lots of Pokémon will want to be mixed attackers.

    Megas were a questionable idea since single or two-stage Pokémon that can mega evolve can't logical naturally evolve further. It would be strange if they could, especially considering their pre-evolutions still retain the ability to mega evolve. If they did, it would be eerily similar to Digimon, which can evolve into various stages and different outcomes under different circumstances. Mega Evolution has long been accused of being a Digimon rip-off. While introducing branch evolutions is an option, I'd prefer evolving Manectric rather than introducing a different form for Electrike. It also wouldn't make logical sense to give a single-stage like Aerodactyl a new evolution since it already has a mega evolution. The only way to circumvent this would be to provide it with a pre-evolution that could then branch out. Gigantamax evolution don't have the same issue since it's established in the lore that pre-evolutions can have different forms.

    I disagree firmly with the idea that a third-version is better than dlc, and here's why:
    with a dlc, you get to keep your progress in the base game, but a third version requires you to start over.

    While I always enjoyed third versions, I didn't like how they tended to make it so I never wanted to play the originals again. After all, why play what is basically the same game but with fewer features? DLCs avert this while expanding on the initial lore and story, so I quite like those aspects. As for the far future where you can no longer download the DLC, there's a chance by then that they'll release versions with the DLC included.

    • @emperorcubone
      @emperorcubone  Před 5 měsíci

      Well they have physical versions NOW with the DLC included, but it's still $90, (when they used to be the same price as regular games) but really only the Indigo Disk had ANY sort of impact on the main region story or lore-wise, none of the rest of waves of DLC touched the base games at all, so one out of Four is not a great track record...

      @@emperorcubone I guess it depends on what you count as worthwhile impact. Isle of Armor revealed where Leon got his Charmander, who his teacher was, some info on what the Galar League was like before the Dynamax era, etc. Crown Tundra introduced Rose's brother and revealed a bit more about their family history. Teal mask introduced Briar, Carmine and Kieran so we could get to know them a bit before they played their roles in the Indigo Disk.
