Due to our special opponent today, we hid 10 Waldos throughout the video. Can you guys find them all?

Definitely missed some because I kept waiting for the '14:20' all in...but I didn't realize moving out while building 3 ccs is considered all in. Nevertheless, my viewer engagement has never been higher

you didn't notice the HUMONGOUS supply block. From 13:36 to 15:23, game time. While you were talking about the beautiful things he can build, 4 scvs at a time, 3 tanks at a time etc, he was completely and hopelessly supply blocked!
unblocked between 15:28 - 15:32 actually, though you cant see the actual time due to the fabulous zoom-in on harstems face.
As a terran of similar MMR, I'm positive he brings his banshees home because he knows if he didn't he'd just F2 them into spores. Big brain moves.
I will admit I've done this. I really wish there was a way to toggle units to NOT be SELECTED by F2

Harstem's analysis is always technically precise and accurate for separate events in the game, but I find that this time he missed (or, rather, did not talk at all about) the glaring big main cause for the Terran's loss:
Namely, due to his inadequate supply placement, he allowed himself to get supply blocked way too easily, and then didn't rebuild the depots quickly enough to continue production.
This led to the zerg outnumbering him vastly eventually. Game over.
Yeah but before that happened he was already floating 6k resources and was barely producing, which was a bigger problem. With 5k minerals in the bank he could have built a bunch of supply depots pretty easily after they got destroyed. Other times, he went just as long without building units all by himself, supply block aside

Do a tournament where the match is decided by who kills the other player's unbuildable plates.
toss cannon rush would be a little to strong in such a tournament

that is more evidence that loving starcraft and beeing depressed might coincide in 1 way or another ... this game is ridicoulous when it comes to producing exaggerating anger and pissedoffness
The 108/108 supply block was the most painful thing to watch. My man got unsupplyblocked by the 3 ccs finishing, not by any additional depots
Correction, he didn’t build a single supply depot after the 10min mark. Even after losing half his original depots
What Harstem doesn't know is that Hellcat is doing a beating diamond with stupid stuff where he has to make sure that the unbuildable plates takes 0 damage.

I have a theory. He's actually playing a secret version of B[diamondleague]WSS where he has to try to keep his MMR's number of resources in the bank. He's at 3200 now so as you can see, it gets harder the higher up you go.

That fact that this amount of money is being floated by Dimond players is painful.
I love that he didnt build a supply depot for 8 plus minutes, was stuck on 108/108 supply for a looong time there when the time to catch up was.
He dropped a bunch of CCs to turn them into Planetaries (at least the positioning looks like that) + to unblock himself as a side effect

The basic principles of "get more resources and build more shit" and "don't attack up defended ramps" will pretty much carry you up to diamond

I played a guy name Hellcat few times on European ladder on diamond level, and he always went 1 base Thor rush vs Terran. Wonder if that's him...

I've played against Hellcat 2x (i play EU ladder), he hellbat rushed me and got spanked by my queens. his macro tho kept me busier than is comfy
damn back when i played sc2 (as zerg main) i literally quit cuz i was annyoied that terrans insta max out. i thought i was just bad, but then it happened to scarlet in one tourney and i was like... yeah, fck this game xD

Cpnt i know that Christmas is over but could you make us a gift to your fellow protoss player from the bottom of ladder who recently struggle a lot vs terran. Also actual simple guides for low level players would be awesome. Like PvT, PvZ, PvP(from toss perspective) and other as well but toos first ;)

but so as Waldo was floating way much more money.. there seem more tolerance for zerg compared to terran or toss when it comes to these low level mistakes. same happen with me as toss
When a zerg player has enough money and hatcheries, they can spam unit production quickly to remax after a fight. That's hard for the other races because they have to build so much production infrastructure to do something similar, but I don't think that's the issue in this video. Hellcat never got above 150 supply in the whole game, and it's not because of constant attacks by the zerg. Every fight after the 11 minute mark on the in game timer began with the terran at a 40+ supply deficit for no real reason. His production facilities were just idling too much. Not to mention an almost 2-minute supply block at 108 (13m40s - 15m30s in-game timer, 17:43 in the video).
How much money you have in the bank matters for two reasons mostly, it hampers your ability to build up economy, which is why Hellcat was pretty far ahead in the first couple minutes and then it mostly matters at the moment a fight is taken. When the decisive fight with the lurkers happened they had basically the same bank but in addition half the army of the terran wasn't fighting.

It's like a beginner who first builds every possible building before really producing any units himself. Is he just following an exact build order cooking recipee and builds no units beyond that until he has built all the buildings?

I have never understood the point of those unbuildable plates. Is it for your units to practice their attacks? I don't get it
it's to prevent (uncounterable) cheese. without it, Protoss can rush across the map and build 2~3 Pylons and utterly cage the opponent in to their main with extremely little they can do.
see "Partings IMBALANCED Pylon in the GSL And Mapping drama | SC2DAY" for an example where the map wasn't made correctly and the cheese happened
It is to prevent some very specific offensive wall-offs that were popular way back when. Like PvZ with mothership core or something? supply depot and bunker rushes, real cheesy stuff.

The panel on the queen (around 5:05) is wrong. It has vs air and vs ground switched and uses a pylon for the supply icon instead of an overlord.

The sub-par play that you're talking about is what happens when you put the utterly terrible SC2 design in front of normal people.
Sometimes in this series, Harstem actually tries to help the person submitting the replay. Other times, he's jiust hell-bent to make fun of the player, typically not even bothering to constructively look at root causes (like in this game supply blocks, say). This is a low diamond game, and he keeps on harping about timings not being at a Masters level. That's kinda obvious, isn't it? I realize a large chunk of your audience also watches (and enjoys) mean-spirited and arrogant casters like Winter, and you seem to sometimes take inspiration by those. Given that you can be *so* good (and funny w/o being not helpful), it makes me sad.
Too many pauses and analogies. Just call the action. People watch for Starcraft action, not pausing while you make your 50000th analogy.
