Mitsubishi Colt 1.1i - Rear Shock Absorber Change Without Lifting The Car

  • Change the shocks even without a jack up, even simply on the street with a couple of tools and without lifting the car up.
    If things go well. If they doesn't, you have to either do some cutting with an angle grinder, bore holes and do an alternate repair or just mount the shock back and leave it to a shop. We'll see at the end.

    Thank you for this informative video. I have raised the clearence of my Colt for 3cm by adding spacers on the tops of the front suspension. However, now when I start tu turn steering wheel from the right edge to left, it makes a clunking sound at the start, as if some metal is not aligned properly in the suspension. Do you know what can it be? And is it safe to drive?

      Well, I can only guess, but maybe it can be that the sprins are turning your custom spacers...really hard to guess. The best would be if someone turns your steering wheel and you go and look down what part is causing the sound...

      No, it has got a bit more stability, as the shocks were wear out.
