I find it humorous that to be considered an "adventure " bike, it has to have all the nanny features, but if it doesn't have them, it's a beginner bike. I have gotten rid of my Tiger 1200RP and have a new Himmy ordered.
I live in Hungary and always ride through the villages, mountains, valleys and forests with my old Himi. I drive 70 km/h or 43 miles/h. and with the atmosphere that my himi radiates, that is the feeling of adventure i get.
It was really fantastic that you managed to get the old and the new model together for a direct comparision, I don't think i've seen this before. Well done, and thanks for your honest opinion on both bikes.
Great review and a nice change to all the recent Sardinia reviews which all feel identical. Good to see what the pillion is like also. Taking the modified bike out later this year sounds great to see what they are like. Look forward to that in a few month. Loved your recent 401 review also. One of my favourite YT channels right now and you look lovely as always. 😀
Good review, one of the few female reviews that actually knows anything about bikes with out giggling or squealing or having to take your clothes off well done.
Certainly it seems like a good all round machine. I'll definitely be going into my local dealer for a look and possibly a test ride when I get the chance. Super review Diemante, well done 🤓 💖
Tomboy Fantastic side by side review Lady! Your video clearly shows the differences and why someone would choose either one. I like the new model and Royal Enfield will sell a lot of them. Ride SAFE and BE safe Deimante! 👍👍🌹
Yes, the old one has more character and better looks, this could be mistaken for any other bike in this catagory. The old one has the analog clocks and the chunky alround look that I prefer. The only thing the old one really needs, is the performance of the new one, and then i'd be the happy owner of a Himalayan, untill then..., well, all stays as it is in my garage!
Great video. I haven't ridden yet, only seen in person. It's missing a bit of an old school charm but very handsome all the same. I do like the previous models dash, like a cockpit
Well done Dee, first review where the screen is not flickering! Does it feel heavy? Off road for Me is a country lane. I can see this being My next bike, thanks!
Again, another really good bike. It seems these single cylinder middleweight bikes are the thing (no need to go bigger?) I must say, I enjoy the journey through all the country roads and lanes in these reviews. Great job.
Glad you had some fun and just mud stains vs grass stains Deimante. Personal I think upside down forks should stay on track bikes /expensive road bikes. Harder to service and more likely to have seal leaks as lower targets exposed to rocks 'n bugs. Hope your weekend was dry (wet here). PS how did you can welding go?
Greetings from India... A word abt pillion comfort... From your video, it's evident that if the foot pegs of the pillion were lowered by abt 4 inches, and an alternate set even lower by 6 inches, then the pillion wd get better thigh support...ref your video at timeline 16:50...Thanks
I think the new bike is awesome, but i still prefer my old Thumper. I like the looks and simplicity of the air cooled engine, and the retro dash. I dont ride on highways anyway.
The fact we won't be getting these in the majority of North America until 2025 (What I've been told by Dealerships), is heartbreaking. Hopefully they can work out some of the kinks before that though.
I think you cannot compare the old himalayan with the new one. I tested the new one today and it is a different bike. Right now i am not sure if i would ride the new one the same way i did on the old one. But i might test ride it again soon for a bit longer hopefully
Man these European reviewers are always like "i loved OLD-SCHOOL OLD-SCHOOL".... because they've been pampered by modern amazing bikes for so long. We in Asia haven't been, that's why our brands (including Enfield) are striving towards making modern bikes. We here don't care that much about "old-school".
I like the new Himalayan but it could be any Japanese brand so for me it's lost its old world charm of the original 1950s style bike although the power increase would be very welcome over the old one.
@RJ23545 yes took out dealer demo, as I was waiting for the Kamet white tubeless I ordered at the end of 2023. Vibrations so unacceptable to me, that I cancelled my order. Disappointing since I have been looking forward to getting this for 5 months.
Probably a mixture of the roads quality, difficulty to get a licence, accessibility and necessity to have a car first etc. I got a Sportster as a first bike, that was my beginner bike. But riding in East I’d never choose a Harley as a first one.

Ordered mine for a everyday rider. Occasional weekend tear.
Bwahahahaha so well said!
I am from India and I have clocked more than 5.5k kilometres till now
It’s a lovely machine considering the price
Thank you for sharing.

Great review!! And the comparison with the 400 was perfect!! 💯

Thanks for the nice review. It's certainly an interesting bike. I hope I'll see in the near future for myself. Keep on the good work!
Great review. Love your personality and style.
That was worth waiting for...enjoyed that ,,great review as always Dee

Spot on
Hopefully, at some point, somebody will fit the 452 engine in the old 411 frame and we will see something interesting.
Great review. Well done.

Loved this review, great detail for this bike that we are waiting for in the USA.
Best Himalayan 450 review ever... Thanks ❤
Thank you Deimante its always wonderful spending time with you!
Lady, I was waiting for your Himi450 video 😁
Well done Dee, first review where the screen is not flickering! Does it feel heavy? Off road for Me is a country lane. I can see this being My next bike, thanks!
Looks a great piece of kit diamante ..thanks for sharing with us ...lee
Question is are you gonna drag it up the strip at Santa pod? 😂 Great vid I enjoyed the review! Keep up the good work! See you out there….
Looks so much better than the old one.
finally ! i waited for this video so eagerly :)
🙏🏻
Great job 👏💪🏻👍🏻
Again, another really good bike. It seems these single cylinder middleweight bikes are the thing (no need to go bigger?) I must say, I enjoy the journey through all the country roads and lanes in these reviews. Great job.
Seems like they’re getting more and more popular. And so much fun on a narrow lines, where most bikes feels too much.
Another great review, im thinking this or the Husqvara sviltpilen 401. Thoughts?
Cool looking wee bike 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Nice review 😊
Waw! Thank you for appreciating! 🙏🏻
I could only own my Himi 411 and be happy. But I agree, it was my 2nd bike and I love having it alongside my V7.
hoping to see you reviewing a VOGE 525DSX or 900DSX soon :)
Glad you had some fun and just mud stains vs grass stains Deimante.

Really like the look of the rally model
Valve adjustment is much more involved on the new model, but the extended service intervals make it worthwhile.

How would you compare this to the new Svartpilen 401?
Be interesting to see what a custom bike shop can do with the new bike
I might get one for community nursing🤣I currently have a Versys 650 MK2 weekender. It’s a bit tall for me.
I think the new bike is awesome, but i still prefer my old Thumper. I like the looks and simplicity of the air cooled engine, and the retro dash. I dont ride on highways anyway.
One more ...Do you have the spoked tubeless tyre in what's sold in UK?? Pls comment
Even the standard exhaust looks ok
if i had to pick one bike for the rest of my life
it's definitely this 💯
The fact we won't be getting these in the majority of North America until 2025 (What I've been told by Dealerships), is heartbreaking. Hopefully they can work out some of the kinks before that though.
This one is better looking in imo

It is very hard to compare them. You’re absolutely right, feels very different.
Verrrry Naaacee 🥸
The companies cannot satisfy every person's need. Everyone has different needs😅
around the 5 min mark you say "previous meteor". I'm guessing you were trying to say previous Himalayan?
My bad. I missed it even editing.

Hola amiga ❤
This new Himalayan 450 certainly does vibrate alot, Don't mind a few (that's bikes after all) but far too much to be confortable over long distance.
have you ridden one? i took test ride of my friends bike. it was comfortable on high speeds, not much vibration
@RJ23545 yes took out dealer demo, as I was waiting for the Kamet white tubeless I ordered at the end of 2023.
Vibrations so unacceptable to me, that I cancelled my order. Disappointing since I have been looking forward to getting this for 5 months.
@@jimmyjam8795 my friend told me the same. But he also said that the vibrations reduced a lot after he properly run in the engine.

🇦🇷👍
They killed the allure of the old himilayan and made it a street bike.
I've got the Scram.......fantastic fun!
To be honest this works great on the dirt from what I've seen, but not so much on the road from my experience on demo test ride.
@@jimmyjam8795 new himalayan is even better on road. you can ride all day on high speeds.
There's a guy on CZcams saying you need four services a year if you do over 5 k miles.
You heard Royal Enfield dealer on this vlog. The other guy don’t know what he’s talking about. 🤷🏼♀️
@@tomboyabitabsolutely agree with you 👍
London is the capital city of Great Britain
What makes me think someone was having an argument with their partner??? 🤣
Maybe 😂
Too heavy for the displacement, buy a CCM GP450 used instead.
How do western ppl call a 450cc bike a beginner friendly 😭as an Indian i find it crazy cause ppl mostly buy 110-160cc bikes as a beginner
Probably a mixture of the roads quality, difficulty to get a licence, accessibility and necessity to have a car first etc. I got a Sportster as a first bike, that was my beginner bike. But riding in East I’d never choose a Harley as a first one.
More powa xD
Won't give the model any consideration until it comes with a minimum 650cc engine. Gotta be able to pass trucks on a highway.
It is more than capable to pass trucks now.
if you wanna pass a truck on the highway, then you're looking at the wrong bike!

CFMoto 450MT is on the way to kick himalayan 450’s ass with 44 hp and 44 nm torque and a better price and techs 🔥
No Chinese after sales services 👎👎👎
This one will have better after sales service
well specs on paper count for nothing ...it's for idiots to believe
are you sure? comparing a chinese crap with himalayan?
