its because the pistons go sideways so when you throttle it you get that bit of a sideways rock, i love it ...

the original Piggybacks are great, or a little bit cheaper, the 444 from progressive suspension.

Another great review D. You can't hide the fact that your Sportster is your go to ride. I don't think Harley should have stopped making this bike. Norton makes "air" cooled modern bikes without problems with EU regulations as do others. It is a simple, easy to ride and enough power for the most important reason. FUN!! I don't get it. What say you?

Got to say I was disappointed with the Norton 961, I really wanted to be amazed by it but it’s not quite sorted. let’s start with the good points, suspension was very good absorbing the disgraceful state of uk roads, it looks fantastic with beautiful handmade parts married to very high quality components, although tale unit bulging “ Bussell” might divide opinion. The seat height is great for those of us with shorter legs. Brakes were great. OK so now the bad, vibration!! what’s going on there it comes from everywhere I was behind another Norton on a test ride and the vibration joined together with the bike in fronts exhaust note and it was like a sound based death ray from a sci-fi movie., It’s not as fast as I thought it might be, 5 gears ?? Shift didn’t feel that crisp especially when hunting for neutral, nasty mirrors, side stand access poor, switchgear, there is some beautiful stuff available on the market, Norton should be fitting better for the £16K + price tag, clocks are OK but could be better, should have the tiny LED indicators and why not have self cancelling indicators programmed through the ECU with a choice of time 10, 15 20 secs etc - the indicator light is very hard to see. I guess if you want a British built high quality classic it’s a great bike but if you have ridden a Triumph Speed Twin 1200 then it isn’t. I really hope Norton to can just tweak those points and have a proper success on their hands.

At £630 would you have bought one or spent the money on something else ??

Great for sparrow. Love the mirror flip. Makes the bike appear lower. The tech would be just wrong on the bobber hardtail. Keep up the good work.
