Damn Fine Work! Easy to follow demo and tons of the kind of info that FatShark wont tell us. Thanks so much for posting this, Chaos Spawns and Minotaurs are always a tough fight for me but I can't wait for one of those jaggoffs to spawn now. *maniacal cackle*
Honestly, perfect video for the content. Clear, concise, and digestible . I like your character guides as well, but I never come out of them knowing what I want to do with the character, I only come out of them learning more of the micro mechanics. This video definitely frames the gameplay in a way that is immediately applicable to my next run(to a lesser degree of effectiveness).
I will try to keep that in mind for my guides going forward. With the exception of the shade guide I think I'm guilty of holding back a bit in terms of telling people ''This is what is best'' in an attempt to respect people's play-style preferences when In in reality I know exactly what I would say is objectively best, but I know not all would agree. Thanks for the honest feedback I very much appreciate it!
Yeah obviously there is no such thing as an easy solo on a Minotaur, especially with a 2h weapon, but even then you can use the map to your advantage. Jump down and crawl up places that trigger his scaling animation. Hit a barrel when you pass it and deal some dmg here while hes staggered. And while you are right that it's hard as fuck all 2h weapons have an attack that is capable of hitting the longest window (although with a small margin). Anyways thanks for watching and commenting!
Minotaur usually starts with triple attack when just out of melee range. Always assume his attack pattern starts with this. *Triple attack, Horn swipe, side swipe. Repeat.* Sometimes he can deviate and do one extra side swipe or do the side swipe before the horn swipe, not sure why. Generally, just back dodge every attack and if it is the triple attack then block out the two 1 hand attacks and then side dodge the dual overhead.
That's a really good video guide. Apparently, you respond to feedback and criticism and just improve which is hella impressive. I agree with others about the intro not being representative of the content at all. Was surprised to see condensed high quality stuff. Good job.
Thanks man i appreciate that a lot! :) I have changed the intro since this video to a quite a lot shorter and more sutle one! But I'm glad to know that people can see i'm improving! Since 1 year ago I haden't ever as much as looked at a piece of editing software :P Anyways thanks for watching and taking the time to comment these kind words! :)
Just a note: Fire bomb do not fore Spawn to drop his victim. At leas I have never seen it to work. While i.e. dwarf Ranger dropping his smoke bomb works. Nice video, very useful. THX.
I find for Spawn and Minotaur a weapon with parry is very helpful, since they attack decently quick, and have relatively easy windows to learn how to sneak in the perfect blocks, not to mention it is just satisfying to take 0 health or stamina damage while they flail about.
Like your videos, very helpful. Only suggestion is drop the cringy intro. It might have been the shit back in 2011 on youtube but now it's pretty gross.
@@yallia6197 Hehe glad to hear not everyone hates it xD I have spend the last couple of hours making a new one i'm gonna test in my next video :P Thanks for being a boss and taking the time to comment!
Hey man, just subbed and loving your channel, you sure as hell know your shit :) If i may suggest a topic for a future video, i would love to watch you talk in depth about the ironbreaker. Keep on keeping on o/
Thanks man! :) I appreciate that a lot! And I am producing these class guides as fast as I can while still maintaining their integrity! :P I could probably dash em out quicker, but then id for sure end up giving some amount of misinformation. Anynways will get to ironbreaker as fast as i can and thank for commenting my friend! :)
@@ThePartyKnife love your videos... seconding the request for some in-depth ironbreaker guidance. This is a class that can be hard to get beyond the basics and a deep dive has some high value IMO.
Should note that Bile Troll is much easier to dodge his axe attacks by being really close to him for two reasons. 1) Axe hit box is mostly all at the actual axe head and 2) he takes 1 step forward with all his attacks so if you are right next to him, he moves past you. Speaking of larger hit box on axe head, walking backwards from overhead is not good since the hit box is bigger then most dodges with out an increased dodge range talent. Instead, you should walk towards the Bile Troll when he overheads before trying to side dodge it.
Does locking monster by dodging backward (like with ratogre) work with low mobility weapons, like 2h hammer? I always have this problem with such weapons, and i think its time to learn it. xd
It's deffinetly much harder with some weapons that's for sure but pretty sure it's possible with all weapons. Just a matter of practice makes perfect! :) And again thanks for watching man! Much appreciated! :D
I need some footage of a Foot Knight trying to kill a Chaos Spawn in a dark tunnel and a horde from behind attacking you. Cause that's what happens every time. None of this wide open area while being a Shade bs.
Well my friend you are in the wrong place then xD This is a guide on the underlying monster mechanics not a clutch montage... :P That's a different playlist!
Yeah the minotaur is the shit you cant deal with alone, the windows for damage are so smol, and by tryng to get hits in, he will surprise headbutt you here and there, so its a war of nutricion that you cant win, at least not in a head on melee 1v1 fight. (btw nice text font there)
i still dont understand the minotaur. how can you tell if a horn attack is comming? and if its also triggered when someone staggers him makes it even worse. its so fast^^
Try and think of it in a different way at first. For starters instead of trying to tell when the horned attack ''IS'' coming. Learn to recognize when it's deffinetly ''NOT'' coming. And assume at all other times that it could be the next attack. But with experience you will start to see a patern in it's attacks. But really the 3 times you wanna be on red alert in terms of his horned attack is 1: When he swaps aggro. 2: Right after doing his tripple attack combo sequence which is the one where he is constantly moving foreward. Right after that combo its a 50/50 that he will do the horned attack. If however he doesn't do the horned attack there. 3: The next attack will very likely be the horned attack. So watch out for the 2 attacks after his combo and when switching aggro. And you should be good to go 9/10 times :) Hope that helps and thank you very much for watching!

I cringe so hard everytime I hear how terrible my mic used to be and then I realise that was less than 4 months ago lol. xD
yeah i cringed at the intro, so your voice was relatively good :)
Cringing is a sign of an existing learning curve ;)
I think we can all agree we are here because of the minotaur.
haha xD
Pretty much
I’m brand new to the game and felt I wasn’t contributing much when the boss fights come around
Everything was explained in detail and clearly, nice work. Please play with me some time.

Thank you very much for this guide! It's quite useful for those who picked up the game when it was made free for a while recently.

8:02 While you are hit by the spit you can still use your ability. That's a good way to avoid beeing hit by the troll by stunning him or dashing away.
good point
The intro is a masterpiece
Every time monster show up on legend i hear mission failed.
Minotaurs are the hardest when you're the last stand, they attack too fast so if you got a slow weapon(most of the 2h weapon)you are pretty done

How do you set up these arenas with monsters and other mobs? Feel like it could be a useful training tool.
Chaos Spawn is coded to be allowed to do the triple smack from melee range. Just a matter of RNG.
New Guy to the game - What is the loaction and how do you get there?
Do you do some kind of Summoning?

If u are a client, u have to dodge 0.5 sec earlier than that, this is only possible as host like that.
