"A Winner's Mentality" is sth that in general guides do not tend to explain. Even if you have the best items / build / full hero power, if you don't follow and understand your role properly, you will not be an effective player. Good on talking about this!
Great video with some great tips. Teamwork really is the most important and the most fun thing in the game as i see it, with some partys stuff just works and no matter what mess you get into as an individual or as a party you make it out alive. But man is it hard to be the bigger person sometimes, people dosnt seem to care at all and after a few games like that i tend to lose the will to care myself. I try my best to be a good teamplayer but i shall keep your tips in mind the next time i do some QP runs, being nice dosnt work in every case but being an ass wont work in any thats for sure. Will be looking forward to your future videos, ive learned alot from this and from your build guides, good work!
1 Comment of this nature is literally all it takes for every video to be worth the effort. Thank you so much for taking the time to say that and I will do my very best to live up to the praise!
Hey! I enjoy your content a lot, I think you have very insightful kmnowledge, I will gladly give you some feedback! First, let me just say that the quality of the information you provide is very good! Nothing to change there, just keep it up. Next, maybe there is something you could improve on delivery. By delivery, I mean mostly two things: 1- Sometimes, the audio is not on sync with the video. It has ofc the effect of creating confusion for the viewer, aswell as making it harder to actually concentrate on what you say vs what you show. Im pretty sure this is just some editing inintentionnal mistake. I can understand why you wouldnt want to rewatch the whole thing after editing a 37 min vid, but perhaps that would be a way to see those out of sync sequences. 2- This lead me to the second point, I feel like at times, you could cut to the chase more. It might be one of the reason the guide you though would last 5 mins lasted 37. It feels like you planned for the general concepts you want to talk about, but it feels like the detail of the delivery is not planned in the details. So you end up repeating yourself a bit, or just juggling with your thoughts before getting it right. One of the things that make a lot of youtubers content very good is that they actually write scripts for their videos. But that seem a bit extreme for you case, because you have a lot of infos to give. I think that you could aim to know where you want you explanation to go before you start it. If I had a suggestion, it would be to actually plan in your head how you want to explain the concept, in detail, before starting recording. Or even better, do a first "rough take", where you just put out all you have to say, and then do another one, which will then probably be a lot cleaner, as the first take helped you find the words for what you were trying to communicate. I think it could result in a more concise and clean delivery. That could help you reducing the duration (which is probably a deterrent for some viewers) and increase the flow of the video (which then again could make your content more appreciated) I hope I dont sound like some arrogant asshole haha, I just really enjoy your stuff, and wish for you to have as much success as you can on this avenue :) ! edit: you made some pretty funny jokes, nice!

The last point is far and away the most important one. And it's something that applies to players even at the highest level. Even being able to recognize which player on the team is nailing shots or taking a lot of damage is a skill in itself and it's one I certainly need to work. Knowing when to babysit and when to let someone do their thing. This is especially important when two roles are doubled up on. Sometimes you have to fill a role your char isn't perfect for. One example today was a dwarf running flamethrower while I was on zealot, needless to say annoying. Far better to lean in and protect your flamethrower than try to get into melee and play how you would normally.
@@ThePartyKnife Absolutely, and I'm very happy to see that as your #1 tip. I really hope this channel gets more traction! But with the health of the game as it is, we'll see; might just be the hardcore and Old Guard that watch your guides :/ Either way I'm excited for your zealot guide tomorrow, I'll be listening to it while I'm at work!

Friendly fire is a good point, can i add however it would help if team mates did not 'jump' towards the enemy when i am standing back trying to snipe the Elites. Looking at you Dwarf.
I was gonna make a slayer guide next to have 1 class from each hero before going to left BUT. Since there are quite a few big changes to slayer on the beta at the moment I thought it might do Waystalker next! :)
It can get a bit annoying if a player thinks he's the captain. Running off ahead, unconscious of what his team is doing. "If they fall behind, it's because they're bad." Definitely not because you're running off leaving them to deal with far more enemies. And who cares if that player had 50 hours, what if he has 1k in vermintide 1? Pretty much the same game. Idk, I think you were flamed for legit reasons. Stick with the team, watch each others backs. Check your ego at the portal.
The "No you f***ing m**on, you played Shade" line killed me, but I have to agree, stats are stupid, having those green circles hinders good teamplay in a way... Edit: Also the self-reflection part was great, nice to hear how mentalities can change. I, for example, used to greed for kills when I stared playing and was too agressive. It worked out till Legend which is when I noticed I have to change and adept and actually care and teamplay, which was a great feeling in the end. Since then I never obeyed to the green circle curse again ;) Also nice vid, a bit long but thats mostly justified Edit2: Guess this and the line above could be considered feedback: While I dont mind a long vid, I fear that not everyone will have the time (and spirit) to watch it (as such "5 tips to get good" vids are usually short and on the point) I'm assuming this was not scripted but a script could help to keep the video more focused.
You are totally correct! :P So far i've just been talking with myself and although it works sometimes for this video it ended up being a different video than originally intended and for reason i never thought of making a script until you + a few others mentioned it in the comments so I decided to try that for my next guide!
7:50 what counts for the average power? Is it the average of the current items equipped, the average of the highest items in each category (weapon, charm, trinket...) in your inventory or the average of ALL items in your inventory? I'm quite confused by that :D Thank you, great video
Your total power is your hero level x 10 (so 350 at level 35) + all of your item power combined, divided by 5 or as you said, the average power of your items! :) The highest item power is 300 so you end up with 650 power when you are maxed out! Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
thx for vod , also question here , i did all the mods as explained and when i charge attack with dwarf now i see basicly part of the inside and top of his head covering the screen.. where can i fix that ?

I guess I need to start reading guides lol. Thanks for giving me a decent direction to head and some attack patterns to practice.

11-02-2020 ARMORY..... SAID BAD MOD. i closed app and reopened and unclicked armory then accept. then close app. then reopen app FIRST CLICK unapply all unsanctioned mods in normie realm THEN click armory then accept.
9:21 so are you saying you equip or best stuff and then craft the lowest that you're wearing? or the lowest that you have in your entire inventory? and why are you even crafting an item? why not just go to opening chests. (this is actually really pissing me off because every other guide ive looked at basically said that loot rolling works off the highest power level you have ever rolled, and thats it, its that simple. so its just like a self perpetuating system of new high records. none of those guides said anything about the gear you're wearing making any difference. it was just whatever was the last highest power you rolled on an item, that was your new base point.)
It was whatever you were wearing when I was increasing power but I coulden't check if it was true or not I so decided to include it to better be safe than sorry. I have heard heard at least once or twice that it's been changed to highest you have looted so that could be true but i can't test it with max power. But you need to equip it anyways to understand what item to craft so regardless of wether wearing matters or not the concept it the same really. Whichever item where your highest power item is significantly below your average power (assuming highest power items) . You craft an item because the same odds you get in chest for power you get for craft, except crafting you PICK the item ensuring you get the kind of item you need to increase you average , rather than opening a chest first you average out your power and then you open the chest after so the 3 items you get statistically speaking are more likely to be higher power.
ok, yeah i think i get it now. but if it actually is just whatever the last highest item you got, then crafting your lowest item is only useful for increasing the power of your character, and has no effect on rolling a higher item. (my guess is they changed it to this, because it levels out the progression speed to a flat playing field, instead of requiring you to constantly manage equips to optimize chances, and in my experience game devs always go with the easiest most 'watered-down' mechanics if they can) i'll try to test it out. thanks for the answer. if you have the time could you impart more of your wisdom for the following basic quandaries...(can't find info anywhere else)... - if you have both push/block properties and a shield, does that mean that only an enemy directly behind you can hit you while you're blocking? - true or false: the application of the second stack of stagger has a higher chance to stagger longer, and the stagger damage amp only lasts for the duration of the stagger animation. thanks again

To me, this game seems mindless. I literally just load in, set the difficulty, then just mash left mouse till it's over. I love it, but there seems to be nothing to it. Unless I'm missing something.
You play in anyhow you enjoy it mate!!! ;) And yeah at the lower difficulties and depending on on your experience even on legend/cata. Might work in QP but it won't work in high level weaves, doing FoW cata, trying to complete a highly specific challenge or maybe hiper twitch mode & deeds, But thanks for watchinng and commennting
If you play on low difficulties you will just left mouse until it's over, but if you up it, you have to dodge, understand how to kite, be quick in reaction to specials and understand breakpoints for you character to kill effeciently, as well as learn the tomes and grims, good positions to not get overwhelmed. In recruit and veteran you can left click all day, in legend and cata that's not possible unless you're being carried by enemies.
Just a heads up, if you just blindly install all these mods you do lose the ability to just have a private match with only bots by default. I'm sure that theres some setting somewhere, blah blah blah, don't care, dont' fuck with my ability to control my gameplay experience.
I'm not entirely sure what you are reffering ttoo? You can most definitely still que a private match? /host_toggle turns in on/off and it always starts out as disabled afters a a fresh game lauch?
You are most welcome my friend! :) If you are planning on installing mods I can warmly recommend freshening up your UI. Ill throw a link to a setup guide!

@@ThePartyKnife Thanks for your reply
Much wisdom in this vid
Well thank you very much my good intenet sir! Somehow this video was suddenly morphed and wasn't at all what i planned xD
thx for vod , also question here , i did all the mods as explained and when i charge attack with dwarf now i see basicly part of the inside and top of his head covering the screen.. where can i fix that ?
Third person weapons in mod menu (esc). Should work to turn it off and on. Otherwise just disabable it and thanks for warching m8! :)
Wow thanks for the good tips, I've just started but have been playing 10 hours without knowing there were the mods (I know it's literally written in the launcher ;) )
Haha no problemo my friend I'm glad to help! :) Assuming you are new here I do apologize for the slightly shitty audio quality and poor script on this slightly older video though! :D And thanks for watching! :)
Get a pop filter for your mic and make sure to drink water before doing commentary for a video! :)
Read the pinned comment :) anyways appreciate the feedback and thanks for watching my friend!
Lmao bro heroes of newerth that's some deep lore and buried memories
haha indeed :D I used to play on a channel called Heroes of Trolling if you ever saw that :D
@@ThePartyKnife oh that's sweet. Idk I haven't thought about that game since ~2011. Man I picked up v2 over the weekend with some friends thinking "fun, simple co-op game" and it's just filled with hidden mechanics and number lol. Solid prank. I guess I need to start reading guides lol. Thanks for giving me a decent direction to head and some attack patterns to practice.
@@ixamxunicron You are most welcome my friennd! :)
It looks like you didn't sync the audio / video very well. I'm listening to you talk about audio settings while on screen you're fuckin with keybinds.. lol
I thought j-sat is the best player now I'm rethinking that

so are you saying you equip or best stuff and then craft the lowest that you're wearing? or the lowest that you have in your entire inventory?
and why are you even crafting an item? why not just go to opening chests.
Do you have a huntsman guide?
Unfortunately not yet. The closest I can do at the moment is a Mercenary guide. Although I am planning for Huntsman to be one of the next ones. Thanks for watching though! :)
@@ThePartyKnife Keep up the content, excellent work, my friend! I'll look for the notification on the huntsman guide but I have a lot of videos to watch till then. Haha

Is there a: Healer charachter can heal his team ?
Not sure if I understand this question correctly but yes, you can get certain skills that make more into a healer role. So yes I guess ^^
@@xXFlorianXx10001 what should i search about so i can find
Because it dosn't pop up when i writ like : healer build or support build
@@ammar-titi1588 Well you can't really make anyone into a healer, you'll still have to do some other parts aswell but what woudl reccomend is Bardin Ranger Veteran (for less chance to use up items) with lv5 Talent "Hardy Heart" and lv15 "Scavenger" and get a crossbow and have fun sniping and supporting mostly.
Could go with Waystalker too but Zealots will hate you or Sienna but that's wasted potential I'd say.
Bardin is most fun imo, lotta ammo, lotta potions and you don't loose tooo much usefullness but maybe comment section can come up with something better :)
@@xXFlorianXx10001 Damn i never get a lot of tips comment in my life i think you guys have good community with this game and im happy to join you y'all
Last question can i be a (Bardin) into healer or support for his team ? Its gna be awesome
@@xXFlorianXx10001 Very thanks deer 😍
To me, this game seems mindless. I literally just load in, set the difficulty, then just mash left mouse till it's over. I love it, but there seems to be nothing to it. Unless I'm missing something.
You play in anyhow you enjoy it mate!!! ;) And yeah at the lower difficulties and depending on on your experience even on legend/cata. Might work in QP but it won't work in high level weaves, doing FoW cata, trying to complete a highly specific challenge or maybe hiper twitch mode & deeds, But thanks for watchinng and commennting
@@ThePartyKnife I want to try the Twitch mode sometime on my stream, but I know nothing about the Twitch mode.
What difficulty do you play at?
Thanks for the video it helped a ton!
P.S Please stop clicking your tongue and smacking your lips into the mic, it's annoying as fuck.
i don't know that mod can help really well in terms of gameplay dammm need to install ASAP THANK YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You are most welcome my friend! :) If you are planning on installing mods I can warmly recommend freshening up your UI. Ill throw a link to a setup guide!
Huh, Loot isnt rrealy the mentalety I play with. I just want to kill shit.
Its all about mods..... I play Vanilla. Call it mod tutorial thats what it is no helpfull other information in this vid sry. Guys trust me mods are bit helpfull sometimes but you dont need them at all to be a great player if you need them you should think about yourself.
