This episode is a fan edit of the original Tugs series. It is not official. This production was made purely for fun by fans for fans, with no intention to generate profit.
It's a shame Billy Shoepack wasn't in this version, but it was still a fantastic episode. Changing it to take place before Bigg Freeze chronologically, the tracking on Big Stack's name in the close ups, and the sense of danger is all perfect.

I personally don't like it cuz 1 it's been used in Thomas to death already and really shouldn't have been here and 2 with a huge explosion like that pretty much everyone in that building would be hurt it's not unlucky tugs fault obviously but I just really wish that wasn't in the episode
@@trainguy3277 Eh, it's a cheeky nod and maybe fit with how Salty's Lighthouse would've reassure the kids a bit much.

Love how you changed the context of this episode to be at the start of winter so Bigg Freeze can still be the finale.
I completely forgot Little Ditcher sounds like an anime girl and absolutely broke down laughing when I heard her voice.

Puffa from Salty’s Lighthouse: “A whole bunch of logs got loose up river and their heading this way fast!”
Puffa’s warning from the original Tugs episode made it sound more like sounding an alarm in an emergency than the one from Salty’s Lighthouse.

I'm still amazed by how you edit Big Mac's name to say Big Stack.
It's called "tracking".
It's not easy, but it can lead to some impressive effects.

That was neat how you removed any mention of Puffa's name from Salty's Lighthouse and brought back his original name through Captain Star's narrations.
Puffa was called Chooch by Ten Cents in one episode.
Didn’t think a reconstruction of this episode was going to be possible though thankfully with the new narration it was. Something though I’m surprised SL didn’t do was have a segment that used Up River’s footage that had Billy Shoepack blow the logs up. I’ve seen some people make the argument that the explosions would’ve been too much for the young audience but I find that hard to believe considering the footage they used from Munitions and the fact they kept him blowing up a tramper in half as per the footage they used from Trapped.
Getting back to this episode’s edit, I really like how you gave Little Ditcher and Chooch- I mean Puffa a reverb in their voices since they’re speaking through megaphones
I kinda wish you had made THIS the last episode so OJ's line, "Time to shove off mates, we've done all we can do here" would be more poignant lol; but still, can't wait for Saturday, so Bigg Freeze can be the bigg finale!..... alright, I'll leave.
This is my favorite episode as a child. The suspense is so great! Glad it's still there in this version.
Headcanon: The narration is Captain Star telling this to Salty, his grandson, and tweaking things for the kids.
Who knows? Maybe he tells them where the heck his tugs are today
@@Canadiansteamer43 Yeah, like claiming that Boomer went onto be a vacation boat and beat his jinx fully. Well, mostly with a tree or two falling.
Maybe that the depression cause Star Tug and Marine to downsize but he got his Tugs good homes.
I can see him mentioning that Ten Cents, Sunshine, Otis and a few cranes were sold across the pond to a little island where they met a steam engine. Maybe a little blue one? An homage to Season 3 and 5 utilizing Tugs props.
Yet another episode which was very much similar to the original. You can tell in some parts that dialogue was lacking as the narrarator took main stage however, another solid episode.

That line "You're getting warmer, and so am I" is cleverly written. In fact, a bunch of lines from the Salty's Lighthouse retellings of the episodes are.

I love the redubs and retellings, but I feel like Puffa should have kept his original voice in this. It just doesnt have the same impact John Baddeley delivered.
This is probably Henry’s least favourite Tugs episode

Different VA then in the original, though now my brain thought just now that Puffa here sounded like Ben Diskin when he voiced Number 2 in KND.

Idk why but i never thought he sounded like that when i viewed it. I thought he had a western voice but with more of a voice crack.
Shame there's no Billy Shoepack here but it is very close to the original "Up River" and truth be told, I always thought "Log Jam," "Logging," or "Logs" was a better alternative for the episode's title. It was the only one where I thought the title could've been different.
