Very enjable video !!!!! thank you 😊😇😊😇😊😇
No problem Micheal.
Glad you enjoyed it😊
Matt, I love your vids, warts and all and your slightly eccentric? nature. I can't believe your veiwing figures considering the attention you apply to your work. Very little top rate chippie work on CZcams I have found. Watched an American guy completely bodge together a window with epoxy and lumps of softwood and it gets 1.2 million views!! WTF
I think you need some kind of gimmick to get those views up mate. I know you are a Sleaford fan, so how about adopting that head scratch thing that Jason does all the time? Keep the faith Berni.
Ha ha. It’s a cracking idea Berni. Amazed you noticed I was a sleaford fan, just shows how much waffle I talk!
TBH mate the amount effort I put in isn’t really worth it but it’s not a bad sounding board and the interaction like this helps. Can’t see me adopting a gimmick anytime soon! Thanks so much for watching, kind words and the suggestion tho! Means a lot.
Great video again bud , liking the domino idea re the scribing
Re the doors bowing , I often use 2x long spirit levels and lightly clamp them to doors to keep them flat preferable laying on the floor and check for winding while being stored , seems to work
Keep up the great work 🎉🤪
Yes mate. I think I say in this video if I can’t lay them down overnight in the customers house I clamp them to two old levels. I just took my eye off the ball and left them on the landing next to the levels and clamps overnight🤦🏻♂️ luckily resolved but would have been really annoyed if not as my rack, benches and spray room storage is all lasered flat and one moment of stupidity causes a remake! Just shows how quickly they can go tho!
Thanks for checking in again.
Matt
@@Wattsjoinerybarn ah my bad 😍
Totally cool! I switch off to my voice too😂! Best bit is on the morning of the day before I did a little walk around in my workshop showing how flat the racks and benches were and how I keep everything flat never stood up! Anyway I referred back to it in the video except i forgot to include it!
Honesty it’s so hard to keep track of what I am doing as I just pick up the camera when I have a minute rather than with any actual plan!
@@Wattsjoinerybarn yes I like the semi madness though , I’m the same
Great work! Thanks for covering how you level and fix the plinths. When you calk around the scribes do you paint over the calk with the furniture paint, if so how do you deal with the contrast between the spray finish and the brush finish? Some say its not how good you are at cutting the scribes but how good you are with a calk gun... Make of that what you will. 😂
Thanks for giving me content😂
Tbh if it’s a dark finish I use a clear silicone which kind reflects and works well. If it’s light paintwork I normally caulk and touch in but it’s rare I see a difference with the paint or white low modulus silicone!. On this one unused white low modulus silicone as the room is fully finished. On the wardrobes from Wednesday and Thursday I used caulk as they need to decorate.
I hate white on white scribes especially on walls! Make of that what you will😂
I've used morrells drys fairly quickly with a bit of heat, or 123 bullseye, where I am. I can only use water-based. Are u spraying in an old farm shed because I found that they are very damp? I was spraying in an old steel container. I had problems with drying time.
No dampness in the paint room
It’s upstairs insulated and lined. I have air in and out with a sliding door to where I spray and heat to where I dry. The renner takes 4/6 hours on spec sheet. It does dry quicker tho and so does top coat! Plus it’s stackable end of the day and very hard. I have heard really good things about morrells! For me renner is made down the road and I love the topcoats. There are a volume of primers out there that dry in 30minutes so I think I may play with them. The way I see it the quicker it drys the less fibre raise which means less prep.
I have to say tho using renner and having a seperate drying room have been by far the two best improvements I have made in the past couple of years!
I do like the original 123 blue tin and tbf it drys quick. I don’t have to use waterbased tho but obviously prefer it for clean up as I am sure you do! I may invest in a seperate gun for priming as that would help!
cracking video as usual , which model extractor do you use ,?
Very kind of to say! In a sorta semi pro move all my tools are listed in the description! If you mean the workshop extractor its Jet with an Axminster cyclone box and custom cupboard.
sorry matt , i meant your festool site extractor
Ah. It’s the midi, fits well in the side door with the kapex and table saw and benches. It fills up quick but in prefer the hose storage and size over the bigger ones. Really need to get the Bluetooth remote too!
Thanks so much for watching
May I ask please what’s the pull saw you use ? Trying to decide on one for myself 👍🏻
Hi mate. I have a couple of the bigger Vaughan bears which is what I use most the time. I also have two mini guyko ones I bought when I messed around with exposed domino drawers. The only difference is the cost tbh. My Vaughan ones are at least 3 years old and still going strong and the steel is amazing quality.
@@Wattsjoinerybarn thanks muchly to you I’ll do some research 👍🏻
What paint are you using.
Renner 762 top coat
Renner 643 (I think!) primer
Top coat is very tough and levels out very nicely.
@@Wattsjoinerybarn what do u think so far I've the 643 haven't used it yet and are u using hvlp.
@jasonhughes6994
Yes mate graco 9.5.
I think it has a good build up to it but you still need to put the first coat on tight with mdf then heavy coat same day as even with the 404 catalyst it takes too long to dry IMO which even with good ventilation and heat causes some fibre raise. It comes good in the end and sands well plus the topcoat finish is next level. I think I may go back to zinseer bin shellac as it drys so quicker tho. Or I have a few recommendations from a few people I have met since doing this CZcams stuff! Do you have any thoughts on it?
I've been looking at the Renner stuff recently. Do you buy direct from them? Might give them a call. I never know about mixing primers and top coats from different manufacturers. I know they just want you to buy into their system but I always chicken out 😂
@_nacnud_ I'm in Ireland. There's only a couple of places that stock it, so I have to go through them when buying.
i won't see the 10mm door off set from my house :-)
Unfortunately I can only see it from my house! When I close my eyes and go to sleep! 😂
