Hi Shawn . Hope you're doing well . This is the first time I've ever watched any of your Videos , and I obviously have to say , I've definitely been missing out on your Gear Demos . This Demo is great . You really went into the fine details about the LSL . But I feel like what I've REALLY been missing out on is Watching you and Listening to you Play . Wow Shawn !! You're truly an amazing Guitarist !! I might have to watch this Video 5 or 6 more times cuz I really enjoyed it that much . But not before I hit Subscribe . I'll be looking for your next Video . Stay safe Dude . 🎸
You should also check out some of Shawn’s back catalog of demos, he creates loads of fantastic intro tracks and always does excellent, detailed gear reviews! And yes, he’s an amazing guitar player!
now that's a beautiful over driven tone. note separation and stringy open tone exactly like a good driven valve amp. very dynamic and touch sensitive. always on type of tone too.
Another great intro track, I’m a sucker for 3-part harmony guitar parts! Some low- to medium-gain drives get sort of woozy when you turn up the gain, but this pedal seems to have really usable tones throughout its gain range. Love those wrong notes you play, Shawn!
Little touch of Jeff Beck there at the beginning! I love your playing Shawn! I love klon type pedals and this one sounds great! You make all pedals sound great though!
Hey Shawn!!! This pedal is really beautifully voiced. Some other reviews misinterpret the tone control on this unit. I like it the way it works. Great playing as always. I have great difficulty figuring out those outside licks . Perhaps you and Rick Beato could do an interview and explain this marvelous approach over static chords from a theoretical perspective!
Thanks so much! Honestly, Rick would have zero reason to interact with me but if I were to do a video with him, it would be more along the lines of "What the heck am I playing"? He's an incredible talent and could easily elaborate.
“What the heck am I doing?” is the perfect title! I love the note choice but find it so hard to sing. All best, and I will continue playing your licks at half speed!!
That pedal fits your type of tone very nicely. It has a lot of character and beautifully balanced. I'm getting a bad case of GAS. Better than a Klon imo.
Great stuff as usual Shawn but I gotta say I do miss the tutorial videos with the crazy humor! Maybe you could just make a silly video teaching something really stupid and then make a ton of fun of it and we could all laugh till we cry. The alternative is that I go practice and that’s silly and stupid. But I just skip the laughing part and just cry. Boo hoo.

You're very kind indeed sir! I truly appreciate the support!

the LSL guys are on a roll!
Nice sound. Seems most new OD pedals give more than one sound option. This is old school.

Thanks, yeah it's hard for me to avoid attempting a Jeff Beck thing with pedals like this one.
Yeah, he loved a good Klon! Have you heard his music with Johnny Depp? it is pretty darn good! @@ShawnTubbs
Nice

Thanks Shawn. The tone control seems to be similar to the Nobels Overdrive...
The "spectrum" control on the ODR-1 is a bit more of a "tilt" style eq.
@@ShawnTubbs ...truth :)Regards Shawn!
Klon 100 percent doesn't have that much thick gain. Sounds good though.
I'm inclined to agree with you. I did have an original gold Klon back in the day that would almost do it but it would kind of fall apart.
