USMLE 📚 and Research 🔬! This video 🎬 will discuss 5 mistakes you should never make when you are doing research in the US!
Thank you so much for this video, probably the first ever discussing research mistakes to avoid in detail on YT.
Dear Malke, thank you for this video!Could you, please, give some advise on how to prepare for the research interview? I will have one in a month and I am worried so much as I have no idea what to say and how to make a good impression
Of course. You can schedule an interview prep session here thematchguy.com/interview-preparation/
Great video..
Under current rules p/f system (that is after Jan 2022 ) how many attempts of usmle step 1 an IMG can take?
How does this effect during match?
Thank you so much! I have just started public health internship (last year of med school) and got a brain fog searching a good research topic

Hi sir,
I have applied for form 186 now & I am willing to take step 1 in next year may ,then when should I apply for form 183 & register for usmle step 1??
Please tell me the time line..
Dr Assad, I recently got into a research position (Sub PI) at a community psychiatry center. The Supervising Doctor is double board certified in Neuro & Psychiatry, but research is Psychiatry specific. I'm interested in pursuing only Neurology. Will this hamper my future application? Or will programs accept, as they are related fields.
Research should preferably be in the field you are applying to
Great video,
Is it possible to do research in usa while in USCE?
I mean research and electives simultaneously?
Hi. Did you get an answer to your question?
Best
Would you recommend doing basic science research in labs or clinical research?
Especially if someone is outside the US and looking for visa sponsuring.
It varies based on your career goals
hello dr.asaad i have a simple question for you
does an IMS who passed usmle 1 & 2 is a certified doctor in us and if so can he work as a general doctor in a private clinic or so.. or does he have to pass in a residency program ?
thank you in advance
You need to do a few years of clinical training in the US before you can be a private doctor.
Thumb nail though👌😊
hey doc! @MalkeAsaad , onw question - is it necessary to do research in US or we can do our research from our own medical school in our country ?
If you are looking to match in residency in the US, it is better to do research in the US
@@MalkeAsaad but I heard about a doctor from India , where he completed a research during his residency in India & then matched into the fellowship in US on the basis of that research ?
@@suryanshsemwal3971 may be he got matched with the help of contacts... People don't tell real reason of selection ...
Even my junior got matched with the help of contact/reference with average profile
Dr Malke is right.... Doing research in USA is better than doing research in home country...
Doing research in home country is better than doing no research
Does doing USMLE raise my chance to have research
Hello Dr, I am interested in a clinical research job. I live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. If I book a one on one session with you, would you be able to help me connect to the right people to get the research position.
Our consultation sessions give you answers to all your questions about research and how to approach different physicians but we do NOT provide connections to anyone.
How much time you gave your research and publications after medical school. I mean 1 year, 2 year. How much time?
I did 3 years of research
Dr.Asaad, for IMG who graduated many years ago, do you recommend doing step 1 before step 2? Now that step 1 is a pass/fail, i'm not sure which exam to tackle first.
Nice video ☺️👍.
Sir, is research work mandatory for usmle exams and to become a doctor in USA??
It is recommended especially for certain specialties and programs.
@@MalkeAsaad ok.
Will you please tell me what are those specialities??
@@shaikwahidasulthana2458 You can schedule a consultation to discuss that in detail
@@MalkeAsaad Hi sir, can research work be done in USA after graduation from India?
@@shaikwahidasulthana2458 yes
Iam currently working as a clinical assistant and looking for a research position. Is clinical research coordinator a good job to work in in the hospital setting or should I be looking at another research position?
It depends on the tasks you do during that position.
Thank you so much for your time.
Does age matter in residency matching
Age is not the main factor. What you have done during these years is what matter most!
Sir i have 1 question please answer this
Question:
if there is a student X .he had done USMLE step 2 CK with out doing USMLE step 1 .
..
then he have to do USMLE step 2 CS clinical skill ?..
or ..he can give USMLE STEP 1?
.wih out USMLE 2 CS clinical skill..
STEP 2 CS exam is cancelled.
He can take step 1
Step 1, step 2 CK and OET can be taken in any order ... Step 2 CS is replaced by OET exam
I am seeking your research course link

What's the average age of 1st year resident
Age is not the main factor. What you have done during these years is what matter most!
Don't worry about age gather practical knowledge that'll differentiate and keep good skin care and diet you'll look young 😂👍🏼
