- Sophie Hunt and her best friend flew to Turkey for weight loss surgery thinking they’d return home with their dream bodies. Sophie’s sister Aimee warned her against going, but nothing would stop Sophie. After her surgery, Aimee took a call saying she needed to fly over immediately as Sophie had collapsed. Sadly, Sophie passed away 48 hours after the procedure. One year on, Aimee joins us to raise awareness of botched budget surgery so others can avoid the potentially lethal consequences.

If we don’t know the name of the surgeon and clinic/hospital then we can’t be warned. There are many procedures that go wrong in every country but obviously not discussed.
This is such a sad story. Prayers to you and your family.

The lady had underlying problems..GET FIT before you have surgery ..
Yes she probably was to heavy and not healthy.
Then the surgeons should have assessed her and ensured she got fit before performing surgery?
She wanted that body so badly, now her children don't have a mum! .. Think about that for a while

Once you sign the papers there no refunds
Don’t feel sorry these women know what they are doing. Love food ok. Women don’t want to take responsibility. Taking the easy way out. All surgery are dangerous she probably was not healthy enough to have surgery.
