This was an awesome conversation! Thank you, Brian, for feeling so comfortable publicly coming out this way. Good job to all! And break a leg at your next audition, Brian!
Not knowing that Brian is gay, and in a loving relationship, didn't keep me from having a celeb crush on him. Now that he's let us in, I'll be having full-blown (no pun intended) fantasies.
I wish I had a buck for every time someone responded with something like, "I would never have guessed!" when I'd casually mention that I was gay. SO many misperceptions in the public (un)consciousness about what a gay man 'should' be, how they 'should' act, etc - There are 'effeminate' straight men, 'masculine' gay men, and many, many just plain men who are gay. I blame media for this, way, way back to 'sissy' men in cartoons of the '30s and '40s, and those images and behaviors that were supposedly representing the 'sissy'. I'm not what you'd have described as 'light in the loafers'. I reject stereotyping. It's a lie.
About Brian I knew the face but I couldn’t remember his name, went IMDb and “The Daily Show” so I thought oh yeah Jordan Kepler, then I started reading more IMDb and I saw “How the states got their shape” and I thought ooooooooh him, apologies Mr. Unger.
Identity politics is not a left position, its the liberal, centrist, Democratic politician thing... When I think of identity politics, I think of right-wing culture wars and boycots, and liberal elites...
This is one of the most Human moments ever on this channel.
You guys. You guys. Just thanks. Thanks for all of it. ❤

I was an extra on the movie Scrooged. I was the homeless guy in front of meal hall when Bill Murray walks by cursing.

Love me some Brian Unger. Have been a fan for ages. This interview confirms what I've always suspected: he's also an incredibly nice guy.
