Edit/update: I saved myself 70 bucks in labor taking 5 minutes to do this. That's what I was quoted from when I took my car in for other things. Lights were only like 17 dollars for a pair on Amazon. Thanks for sharing

Thank you for this. Manual said low beams should be done by an authorized dealer, but I figured this isn't a horrible thing to do by yourself. Appreciate the clear instructions.

Great, to-the-point tutorial! I would add the importance of applying dielectric grease to prevent water from getting in and causing this replacement to be done more frequently than necessary.

Great video. Can’t understand why the manual suggests you have to take it to a dealer. Seems easy enough.
Well they want you to take it to the dealer so the dealer can charge $100+ to replace them for you. haha.

Does the Mazda 3 use the low beam for daytime running lights?
It uses the high beam headlights I believe

Yup. They have the same connectors.
2016 skyactive Ver. is a little tricky you have the fuse box on the driver side so you're gonna have to wiggle your hand in there 😬
Yup. This video is for the 2010-2013 Model Years only. 2014 onwards it is different.
Do you recommend fan or fanlessbulb ?
I have tried both, haven't really noticed any difference in terms of reliability yet after having them both in my different cars for 2+ years.

I am unable to pull the connector down, spent 30 mins, no luck. Replayed your video 10x and still. How do you get it off??

jack the little thing on the inside up with a flathead screwdriver and u can pull it off, push it down on the bottom doesnt work for me either idk why

bro what kinda Mazda 3 do you have ??? I aint got the room to put a toothpick behind my passenger headlight, let alone yank the bulb, which by the way don't look like that at all !!!
This was a 2012 Mazda 3 GS Sedan.
External facing LED are not legal on UK roads fyi people.
Have to replace with like for like or your car "should" fail the MOT for it ;).
Replacing with halogen white bulbs is legal however.
