I just paid my fee and waiting to start. Thanks to 2008 market conditions, I never found a mate to develop an NVQ at the beginning. The last 5 years on a site, I ended up mentoring an apprentice through his AM2S with success. I figured that is enough of a reminder to finally get closure and aim to acquire my AM2E myself. ✌️

I personally think that the first course should be design and verification as that is the most important thing to learn that gives you the knowledge to make a good choice of material and cables to use

I've been sparking on the tools for 7 years, and found the 2356-99 course more difficult than I thought it would be. I've always done install work so I struggled with the questions abit.

Excellent pod cast, I’ll echo Craig and tell people it’s far from a “Mickey Mouse” course and believe me you will be put through your paces at assessments, if you think you can stick a couple of pics up and give it blah blah and pass your in for a shock!!! If you don’t know the basic fundamentals you will fall at the first fence!, how do I know..... Craig was my assessor, and he gives you the truth, he will help you if you show willing and be honest with him, it’s a 2 way street, you get out what you put in!!! On the flip side I managed to teach him a few small things about trains 😂😂😂

I want to do my NVQ, I really like this guy to be my accessor. I think his reasoning is amazing. How can I get on to a provider to do my assessment with this guy

Should be a domestic route as industrial and commercial might not interest everyone some individual just want to be domestic work

How can people in their 50 with all that experience be expected to do nvq level 3 it is a bit of a joke

  • @electricalstuff259

Ps since C&G took over trade skills 4 u, you now need to get a Level 2 before you can even get on the experienced worker route. What a joke.
