Beltre is one of my favorites!!! My Cards have played some big games against him and he has burned us tons of times but he seems like a guy who just loves to have a good time playing the game!
@@aidancathey5910 the shift is exactly the kind of weird shit I love about baseball and it causes it to evolve. They’ll figure something out for the shift and it’ll be weird in the way on baseball can be.
@@keatonparker4789 I guess I should clarify, I actually really like the creativity of it and the natural evolution of the game. What I dislike is hitters refusing to adapt to it. It's just annoying to see your best hitter hit it to what used to be an open spot 20 times in a row.
Absolutely stupid rule that you cannot intentionally drop a ball to get a double play. What difference does it make if it is a line drive or a 1 hopper? Both situations should allow a double play. The batter can still run to first to make them work for the double play. What if the fielder took a few steps back and got the ball on the short hop? Then he could try for a double play but what is the difference between that and just intentionally dropping the ball? Stupid rules like this is why I never watch baseball and haven't for decades.
@@adrianpena800 You are missing the point. If the runner ran hard to first, then the defense would still have to work hard for the double play. Also your logic is flawed. If the rule was you COULD intentially drop it, then it would be fair for both teams (neither team would have an advantage). How does the rule as it stands now make baseball more fair and more fun? I think it is more fun to allow it. Speak for yourself.
A base runner needs to decide if he needs to stay closer to his current base or head to the next one and his decision should not have to be based off whethor or not an infielder is going to intentionally drop a ball for a double play. If its a grounder he doesnt have to worry he just heads straight for second base as soon as the ball hits the bat on top of that without this rule the game would be a fiasco. Players would be intentionally dropping balls multiple times a game and the game shouldnt be played that way. Players should be making there best effort to catch a ball. Keeps the game structured ofc this is just my opinion but this is how most fans of baseball see it

Do the weridest plays ever
Can we all agree that Beltre is a national treasure?
Without a doubt!
Yes
Yes
Here, here!
The bunt double because of the shift is the best. I wish more players would bunt on the shift so they would stop doing the damn thing.
I agree. I don't like the idea of MLB flat outlawing the shift but I don't like seeing it.

There was one of those that I'd only seen about a dozen times.
2:18 smart 'catch' by the batter.
Sneaky plays for sure, that was fun to watch. Great video
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for the laughs! That was great
Can I get a balk on the first baseman?🤣🤣🤣
Simmon's defensive IQ is literally INSANE.
"Smooth maneuver George Vancouver ".... wow.
I love watching Beltre play
3:17 that "NO" man's cannot accept it
1:24 dumb rule. Otherwise, it’s smart baseball.
Was that Cano, ACTUALLY hustling, on that bunt double??? lol
"BELIVE", huh?
rip ventura
1:36 I've seen that a lot and I still wonder what the base coach was doing. Went back to reading a book? Dude you had one job.
I can’t ‘belive’ you spelled believe wrong.
Does it get written up as a right sacrifice fly or a 2 rbi sacrifice fly?
"You can't drop a ball intentionally".
Why not? It's a dropped ball. Dumb rule.
@Timothy La Rue although, if the fielder lets the ball drop before touching it, it isn’t illegal
Do the best hit ever
Technically, that would just be one clip, though.
That would be Bartolo Home run
Who else Watching without understanding rules of baseball
3:20 I think he was pissed and this is what happened
"I can't belive I misspelled believe"
Doing the hidden ball trick in little league is hilarious. Opposing parents freak out and call it cheating😂😂
Ikr
The thumbnail is when you get rickrolled
I still think the ichiro play is so stupid. He 100% could have caught the ball
Maybe if he had hops like Michael Jordan😂
Nice thumbnail, great grammar
Every pickoff Kershaw does is actually a balk.
Then why isn’t it called
Also this isn’t true
1st guy. As a pro you should know to always run, shouldn't you?
Swisher was always a douche
Yeah that pissed me off and I’m not even an Indians fan
Same old repetitive videos 🤣
Belive??
