The video was very helpful, but in my teardown I found that you don't need to remove the armrest at all! The only bolts you need to pull are the bottom bolts that you have to move the seats for. The whole thing was able to come out without monkeying with the armrest compartment. I pulled mine and it was a nightmare to put the compartment back! The USB and aux connections were so tight that I had to remove the while center console again and reattach the compartment by flipping the whole console upside down. If you can, leave the armrest alone!

1:19 what is that part (flap) called? sadly mine is missing. I don't remember if it was missing from when I bought the car or if the mechanic lost it when he replaced my transmission. I would like to order a replacement but I have no idea what its called.

Hi, I was trying to replace the USB port, and I removed all of the screws, but for some reason, I can't lift up the console insert all the way. It will lift a little bit, but it seems to be stuck to something. I even tried using something to push the cables down, but it doesn't seem to be stuck to them. Is there some kind of adhesive used? I can't pull it up enough to actually see below it, so I have no idea what it's stick too, and I don't want to pull it out and damage something. I drive a 2014 Chevy Cruze LT. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get it out?
