Anna Laetitia Barbauld was a poet, an essayist, an author, and an activist in the late 1700s and early 1800s in England. In this video, I read from two of her poems on abolishing slavery ("Epistle to William Wilberforce Esq. On the Rejection of the Bill for Abolishing the Slave Trade") and fighting for the rights of women ("The Rights of Women").
