Thank you. I'd hate to misquote all the specs. Summittractors.com has all the specifications. It's a very well laid out website.
Not a fan of the diverter 3rd function but it is a lot better than not having any 3rd function at all.
Rain X on the seat will make the seat dry quick and easy too.
True 3rd function would be nice but most compact tractors have diverters.
@@PineyGroveHomestead the main reason i bought a Mahindra was because of it more built in weight, loader lift capacity and true 3rd function over most of its competitors in the 55hp class. Almost bought a Kioti but extendable 3pt lower arms and remotes were an add on option and was already $5500 more than Mahindra at the time (2018)
I do wish it came in a 3 range. Also is a true 3rd function an option? Or diverter only?
2 speed hydro and diverter valve. All Summit tractors are the same, you can't add or remove options.
Does Summit offer a 50-55HP tractor and do they have DPF/DEF required on them? Curious what brand engine it would have and will the bigger tractor have a true 3rd function vs a diverted one?
Summit will be coming out with a 36hp in 2024. I don't know of plans for a larger hp tractor after that. Stay tuned for more details.
Where to buy summit tractors...I been to several Florida tractor supplies, home Depot stores haven't seen any summits tractors.. question will these stores also sell implements
summittractors.com has a map where tractors are available and also where you can buy online anywhere in the US. For us, the Home Depot in Dothan, AL has one.
Adding several Tractor Supply locations in FL in January. Locations will be posted on Summit's website first week of the new year.

At first glance Summit appears to be pretty nice, But it seems they went all out on some things but not on what really matters, like a true third function instead of diverter, and more importantly it has a two speed hydrostatic trans correct? Put it in high range and try and run up any decent grade at all. 25Hp and the weight, needs 3 speed hydro for sure. The other thing is if there is a problem I don't see any accountability, the big box store you buy one from got nothing in it, the wheels could fall off when you get it home but you don't contact them, you contact a designated service center that can basically be any joe blow. It's a strange setup for sure, the way I have been told is you have a manufacture in India, the company in US (Summit) Various Big Box stores that sell them, and dozens and dozens of independent service centers? Plus i doubt summit even assembles them, probably another subcontractor.
- Most compact tractors have a diverter, not a true 3rd function. This includes John Deere and Kubota.
- John Deere 3-series and the comparable TYM tractor is 2-speed hydro.
- I pulled their trailer with a full load of logs up my 5% grade driveway with no problem in high gear. I expect it will perform the same as any tractor with a 2-speed hydro.
- Most tractors are not manufactured in the US.
- Our local pecan nut sheller - The Crack House - is now an LS Tractor dealer. There is an automotive store nearby that is a TYM dealer. A local lawnmower repair shop is a Mahindra dealer. The definition of tractor "dealer" has changed dramatically.
@@PineyGroveHomestead My kubota has a true 3rd function? As far as the dealers go that's kind of my point, You mentioned 3 dealers that aren't conventional dealerships yet I'm sure you buy the tractor there, and have warranty and service work there. So with them you have (Take TYM for Example) TYM, Then A dealer, With Summit you have a Company in India (is it Solis?) Then Summit, Then a company that assembles, then a Big Box store that sells them, then a independent service center. That's five different companies compared to the two used in your example.

For less money, you could have gotten a Kioti SE model with similar standard features, and over twice the lift capacity front and back, 3 times the hydraulic flow, and far better dealer support. Summit tractors are WILDLY under powered compared to dang near everyone else on the market, and the entire product line and company won't be around in another 5 years. See Cabela tractors, etc.

So much I could hate on this, but this is the tractor I would have bought 6 years ago when I didnt really know tractors.
Its too small for me, lack of remotes, plural, 2min (1 is better than none though).
Not a hst fan, not a hater either just me.
If you are looking for a tractor this size, I would have to look hard at it but not for me. Nice machine though.

@@PineyGroveHomestead I like my tym454 or dads ls mt573 but again I would take a hard look at those machines if I was in the market.
Dont have a problem with Japan or South Korea tractors but never will buy a tractor made in India. Not sure about other TYM/ Branson dealers, but my tym dealer is a full service dealer and they only sell tym unlike some big name dealerships that sell several brands under one sign. I actually get better parts and service from my tym dealer than my brother-in-law gets from his Kubota dealer.
It's good to have choices.
India has no environmental laws. Walk the walk. I'll spend the extra $ for N A made.
