If Benjy had emphasized the symmetrical beauty of dominoes falling, he probably could have convinced Monk that knocking them over was a good thing.

@@tsoul1333 That's not being a sore loser, she did something against the rules to garner an unfair advantage, thus forfeiting the game. That said, he could have just not touched the queen and used his bishop to push it off the board.
@@giorgitsiklauri840 no he couldn't have pushed it off, it must be placed correctly in his mind. otherwise he's making a mess. true she did something to gain an unfair advantage. but he's still being a sore loser. to be fair when someone tries to cheat in any game with me. I'll just call it quits, because I don't play against cheaters. because when a game gets cheated it's no longer a game. games are supposed to be fun.

It's a blessing and a curse.
I actually am pretty impressed how his paralysis with decisions is portrayed. It's a pretty debilitating symptom of ocd that most people don't recognize.

Monk and Benjy really get along together. Instead of father-son they look more like (very old) big brother and little brother. There’s a scene where he looks very comfortable around Benjy he laughs and even stuck something on his eye playfully which is so not like Monk we know.

I liked the episode when Monk went to bat for Benjy when nobody believed him about the woman being killed at the hotel...

@@TheGreatsagegoku No. The amazement came from the idea that Monk actually began sorting two puzzles that he didn't even took a look at them. The guest kid was told that Monk can do it. So he had a level of expectation and now he was seeing it. It's not a cheesy scene.😁

I sued to watch this show with my mom about 10 or so years ago, was obsessed with it, what i really like about Monk is that in a good amount of episodes if you pay really close attention you can figure out who the murderer is, not like a lot of detective shows where the main character pulls some bullshit that only he could see because "he's just the best" and it being something the audience was never shown. Monk really rewards attentive viewers, like in the game show episode the answer is laid out in plain sight the whole episode, and we the viewers and Monk have an equal chance to figure it out, or in the garbage strike episode where we find out that the killer smoked a certain kind of cigarette, and earlier in the episode we see him with a case of said cigarettes for a split second, it was hard to notice sure but it was there, we were shown the same things Monk was so when he does end up solving the case it's very believable and that's what made the writing so good in my opinion

I think it is always very obvious who the murderer is! Sometimes you know in 10min, sometimes a bit longer, but you always know before Monk says his iconic phrase: "Here's What Happened"

I feel sorry for Adrian at 6:10. I figured Sharona would've known him well enough by now to know that he doesn't do this stuff intentionally, he really can't help it.
True, but some things he's gotta learn. If people want to have fun, they dont' want a buzzkill stopping it. Sometimes, for fun, you gotta lay down the law, or at least help them divert attention so they can have fun.
I think she was trying to help him, of course her lack of patience there didn't contribute. Plus, as miserable as Monk is, he was his own brand of content.

The writers did a fantastic job of wrapping it up. I was especially glad to see Randy Disher find happiness.

This is just one of the reasons we really needed Sharon's to either stay or come back! They should have just paid her the money she asked for and all the episodes of Monk would have been even better! Sharon's just made it all much more interesting to me, everything she said was smart! It just wasn' t the same with Natalie...I love the show's were Sharona even more!

Canning Bitty Schram meant losing Benjy as a character, which just adds to the pile of good stuff the series lost when they made that shitty decision. It took them a while to get back up to speed, and Julie never had a relationship with Monk and they didn't use her much.
