- In todays Chivalry 2 gameplay we are using what is considered the best weapon in chivalry 2 by the numbers. That is the polehammer on the footman class. I am playin in first person on team objective mode and we are slapping around the lobby! While not my favorite weapon it is not bad. Enjoy the chiv 2 gameplay.

I've only been playing since Feb but this is the first weapon that I gravitated to. Great damage, not too slow and really good range, as well as the blunt weapon boosts. Really loving the halberd atm tho for it's range. Stabbing through friendlies to steal kills is hilarious 😂

Nice work, as always. I agree the pole hammer isn't in the top 5, but is also a somewhat underrated weapon imo. Great overheads and the special, is pretty darn special.
I was hoping to hear your own conclusion on it, at the end. Maybe some other time ! Although you didn't get a full game, so...

Polehammer is the first weapon I got to lvl 36 for the skin. But yeah no slash means it’s hard to use no matter what. Glad to see you wrecking face with it with those overheads overheads and more mean overheads lol

The Polehammer has a few major issues and upsides.
Its upsides are that it has handle-hits, leading to attacks that hit way too soon, and the special attack damage.
It's about the length of Greatsword, if not a bit shorter and it's kind of slow and with hitstop, which leads to uncomfortable 1vX.
Comparing it to Halberd, it's faster than Halberd but it's still not fast, Halberd does about the same damage with most of the attacks (aside from the special attack) and with way better range and swing manipulation.
The problem with averaging stats is that it really doesn't paint a full picture and the Polehammer is a perfect example of why averages don't work. Polehammer is a very good weapon but it's very niche and you trade a lot of things for a few upsides that you really don't need.

In your arms, Stridah, every weapon is cool as you have some decent skill. I tried many weapons that are popular but still didnt have any progress as i cant feel them. Then i started to try everything and finally found the weapon that i feel the most. So its just the matter of skill, not weapon) Thanks for the vid

I'd definitely put Polehammer in the top 5 weapons in the game, it destroys. It's definitely the best blunt weapon in the game, no questions asked.

This is getting pushed by the subreddit crowd, but sadly they think playing archer is a legit way of playing the game, so their opinion is rejected.
Still really good weapon, without a doubt, but I would not say its better than a greatsword or messer.

I dont like weapons that cant cut through crowds without charging. Nobody got time to charge his attacks when surrounded by 3 people.
Even if the weapon is the best according to statistics, the class man at arms is a huge no for me. Just the mistakes of my teammates leave me with less than half my life with each fight. The ennemy is not my ennemy but clearly my own team. At least with the knight class i can survive better my own teammates.
