NUNOOTAYUNONASH (OUR BASKETS)

This workshop explores how baskets, the creative process and the natural resources used to create them have played an
important role in history and culture of Pequot people. The workshop highlights the different creative styles of basketry,
addresses invasive species, such as the Emerald Ash Borer beetle and its effects on the traditional art.
Participants will create a take-home craft utilizing traditional basket designs and basket weave patterns.
