We head up to see our friends at @FMFRacing1973 for a behind the scenes look at how they make their state of the are exhaust systems for Motorcycles.
All I want for christmas (or any day really) is a spark arrestor / quiet insert for my Factory 4.1 muffler on my CRF450L. If I can't get one (they've been out of stock for like a year) I'm gonna have to ditch the FMF system entirely because my bike model gets no love :( Must not be enough of them to justify doing another production run. Previous owner of this bike ran it with this exhaust and ditched the spark arrestor because he wanted it loud. Damnit.
It’s not just your model or FMF. Pretty much any desirable bike/ part/ or whatever is out of stock. Last month was the biggest month ever for the dirt bike aftermarket and with supply chains still playing catch up .... nothing is in stock Good and bad all at the same time
They are going as fast as humanly possible. That place is full speed on production It’s just been the busiest year ever in the Moto industry and their demand has never been higher
@@EverySingleSunday sounds like time for them to expand production.. I was actually thinking covid stuff shut them down... Its crazy for a year now all I find is back order on a PC4 for my KLX250 its been the same for 20 years.. and well my 21 KTM 500 I figured chances are slim to get one any time soon lol... Maybe sooner or later they will be available...
I’m not sure if they got shut down and backed up due to covid or not. I know the place is rocking now and that they had signs out front to hire people. Plus nobody here in CA wants to work. It’s wild
@@EverySingleSunday I actually though for a while they were out of busineess due to it... Im glad they are not.. The no one wants to work is the whole darn country unfortunately between the fearmongering about the disease adn the extra unemployment $$ many can just collect close to what they made working for it. I expect there to be long lasting effects from this and am not sure we have hit the bottom of of this economic roller coster yet... Stay safe and stay well hopefully we continue to see more return to normal this year....
