I disagree in favour of the e34. With the throwing star wheels, small kidney and daytona purple it was just stunning.

@@gvidux555 idk to be honest man, I've never owned a BMW, i just suspect that manuals are more reliable, based on the fact that in Europe auto boxes weren't paired up with V10s in a mass-produced car all that often. Those were more for the sport cars and stuff like that. But who knows?
It's a reliable for a super car lol. I don't see anyone hating on any other v10 this much.

I am an original owner of a 1991 Red M5, with 144k miles only driven for trips, track and fun! The E34 is killer good, my motto, "1600 by day, M5 by night" -- Fabulous video!

Had a E39 M5. Terrific engine, clutch was fragile and the brakes were shockingly lacking in endurance. Loved it to death.

The M5 has a special place in my heart. Back in the day my uncle had an ‘03 M5 and that thing was a beast. I was 16 at the time and he told me if I learned how to drive manual he would let me drive his M5 and take it for a cruise. After a few weeks of practice I got the hang of it and was cruising down PCH on a warm summer night. Also that experience contributes towards my love of manual cars and why my cars are manual only. God I miss that car.

I own an E60 M5 (2006) with ESS VT-2 SUPERCHARGER and iPE Exhaust, Carbon Fiber Trunk Lid, E63 M6 wheels, StopTech Big Brakes Kit, Bilstein B16 EDC Coilovers, and list goes on....
Rod Bearings done ESS spec, and the SMG/vanps pump. 140k kilometers and runs like a charm!
If you take care of the car and whatever infamous issues it had, it will run perfectly fine.
I love my M5 so much. Every time I get behind the wheel and start that beast, I forget the whole world and just go to different world!!

I remember seeing the F10 M5 in motor trend magazine and literally drooling over it. It was the best looking, most insane, and craziest car I'd ever seen.

OK kind of pissed, due to the fact that you built up the E39 so much... and most of the E39 shots (b-reel) you guys are showing are non-M5 E39s! You can tell because of the standard front fascia and the rear non-quad exhaust 5:51, and the wrong wheels 6:06 (should be Style 65) . Also, at 5:59 the interior shot with the steering wheel belongs to an E38 (7-series). Look it up. BTW I LOVE YOU AND DONUT SO DON'T BE MAD AT ME FOR NOTICING :( :( :(

Yeah I had a e39 540i with VANOS and it was a pain in my tooshy. Such a fun car, but cost lots to maintain. I wished I was more handy.

Almost all of the footage of the e39 generation are shots of the 540i and not the m5 all you have to do is look at the rear badge and front bumper. But still a great video!

The E60 is the most uniqe one with its feminine looks and a fitting high pitched V10. But the E39 is of course the best M5. Wife goes in the E60 and i in the E39.

1 thing with the E60 is that if you took the limiter off which was set to 155 mph (210) kph some people claimed it could do 205 mph (330) kph. which is insane for a car that can be bought for as low as around $17,000 for a higher milage

My dad has an 01 540i with an m package on it (so it’s basically an m5 without the badging) and it’s the most fun I’ve ever had in a car, he still has it in near mint condition and I live being in it
