The idea of green eco surging through the water to keep oxygen levels regulated is probably the best thing I’ve heard to explain this stuff.
These are the most relaxing and pleasant videos I’ve ever had the pleasure to watch about the mysteries of my favorite game. Your voice along with the beautiful OST contributes to a feeling of well being for me as someone who struggles with day to day anxiety. I find this very healing.
It brings me joy knowing that my videos can do that for someone, just like the game itself has done for me throughout the years 😌
Thank you so much for commenting 😁
So, we can all agree that lower chamber was in reality a garage for a precursor exploration vehicle
Most underrated youtube I know of.
Much appreciated ❤
Dude these are so great. I'd also enjoy a video where you talk about your favorite levels from this game.
I could do something like that sometime sure, could be fun! 😁
I’m so happy you uploaded this is my absolute favorite place in the whole game
Nothing beats the music and colours, one of my favourites too in terms of atmosphere 😁
You give so much life to an already vibrant game world. Thanks for these vids.
Much appreciated, thank you 😁
Bro I really hope you continue this series. Its so refreshing to see jak content in 2022. As much as I love jak 2 and 3, I really wish they would have built upon this world instead of sending you into the future. Even though it’s technically the same world, they couldn’t be more different.
Also I can’t wait for the snowy mountain episode because of fort and the eco vent
Couldn't agree more, my dream sequel would be a re-do where they build upon the old world and flesh out eco powers, new depth to gameplay etc - but mostly I just want to get lost in a lot of Precursor places 😂
Thanks so much for watching and commenting, I intend on getting back into the swing of things soon for the Boggy Swamp episode!
So excited to see this video pop up on my home page! Thanks for jumping back into it!
And thank you for watching! Much appreciated!😁
I love this area. It's very Atlantis
Awesome again, so much secrets and mystery in that universe. Didn’t notice those islands either.
If only they built upon it and created a fully-realised world from it all 😭
Those islands are from a cut content map that was found in the files of Jak II, probably just a scrapped idea for the sequels locations or an employee messing around but I like to theorise about it anyway 😁
Maybe it's not a city. Maybe it's an outpost of some kind. Perhaps an underwater training facility.
Oh brilliant! I've been looking forward to this for a good while now 😁
You really do give new perspective to this game, you know. Great video as usual!
Glad it was worth the wait! Thank you so much 😁
Absolutely love the mystery surrounding everything about this game. Refreshing to see someone dive into it and break it down and piece together with what the writers gave us.
Thank you sullivan, much appreciated 😁
If they remake this game, I hope they make it to where they make the landscape lore more in depth/expand the lore
Me too, a full realised world would be a dream come true!
@@derrinmaloney1039 dude, a bigger open world of jak 1 with the new unreal engine would sell BIG
It would be fantastic if they could include that new level that was discovered just a few weeks ago too!
@@CameronSmithAU seeing all the cut content make it into a remake would be surreal, I'd be savouring every second 😂
got her dun yeehaw. Great video Derrin, you've outdone yourself again. Noticeable difference in the audio quality, sounding very professional my man
New mic blows the old one out of the water! Thanks man 😁
Just discovered this series and happy to see it's still going. I've got some catching up to do, but I loved the first episode!
Hope you enjoy the rest of the series! Gonna finish it no matter how long it takes 😁
Another banger! I loved the added focus on the enemies too. Keep up the great work
I found them too weird not to discuss, especially the similarity between the Basin lurker and the puffer one! Thanks man 😁
amazing video, one of my absolute favorite levels it's so beautiful ~
Nothing beats the colours and atmosphere 😌👌
Always one of my favorite locations
Mine too, I'm a sucker for underwater levels 😁
Awesome video. I really enjoy this series. Keep up the fantastic work.
I certainly will, thank you 😁
After watching a bunch of outrageous Josh's speedruns it started to feel like a playground
That man makes the whole game look like child's play!
@@derrinmaloney1039 maybe but can you not see a bunch of ottsels making what would basically be a massive jungle gym and slide at least partially like a fun room in office
Excellent video as always mate
Only seeing this now for some reason! Thanks Zeke 😁👊
I kinda like this mission a little only problem is that if your trying to swim almost across the other side then the electric water will active and it feels like a virtual aquarium
So i know this is a 3 month old video, but i genuinely thank you for making this series, as jak and daxter, specifically precursor legacy was one of the only games i played growing up as a late stage ps2 player. I always had questions about the precursors, the ruins, everything the game DIDNT tell us, all the lore and mysteries. So i thank you for giving them, in a way, answers. I hope this series continues but i understand its a niche topic. Just wanted to comment that, hope you have a good day/night, and greetings from the cursed land of Michigan!
Your comment means a lot to me, thank you so much :)
The series is definitely continuing, but I take my time with it as it's something I just do out of love for the series and I'm juggling other projects too ^^
But the next episode (Boggy Swamp) is definitely coming sooner or later 😁
It's so awesome knowing there's people across the pond enjoying my stuff 😁
Intro had Extreme Willem Dafoe vibes from The Lighthouse.
A man of culture I see! I adore that movie 😁 I guess I was subconsciously channeling that 'old sea dog tales' energy without realising!
@@derrinmaloney1039 bad luck to kill a sea bird. In ems the souls of sailors that met their… precursor lol
Honestly, when I first saw the lost precursor city… it really really didn’t look like a city to me lol
It looked more like a series of labs or even an underwater power plant to me
Either way, small me playing this for the first time was super sad to find out that I wasn’t gonna find any underwater villagers in there anytime soon 😭
Small me was like “where are all the underwater people at?”
An underwater village would have been so cool, imagine a new water type eco and a sage to go with it!
@@derrinmaloney1039 that’s exactly what I was hoping for ! 😂
I was hoping to see some sort of Atlantis-esque underwater village 🤣
Boy was 8year old me wrong and sad about it 😭
When will the next one be uploaded?
Not too sure tbh, I'm wrapped up in other projects right now! But I'll be sure to post updates in the Discord and community posts here when I've begun 😁
@@derrinmaloney1039 Okay
Are you finished with the lore analysis videos, cause there aren’t any more
Not finished! It'll continue, just less often because I'm focused on other projects at the moment - the lore series is just a passion project that I do now and then :)
Also, I wonder if your gonna cover the lands that are shown in Jak X, as that is the first time we see the wider world of Jak and Daxter. And also Aeropa, I know people hate lost frontier, but the idea of the brink to to interesting to ignore
@@waseemchoudhry4465I'd like to cover those someday if I have the means to - I'll cross that bridge when I come to it 😁
