I’ve always said my favorite Glock of all times was the 19x, but the Glock 45 MOS would by my favorite Duty Gun Glock if I ever were a COP, and here’s why.

Bought the G19x and immediately knew I’d buy a version in black. When the G45 came out, I bought it, put an RMR on and carry it On Duty, off duty and everywhere. Best pistol they’ve ever made imo
G45 with rmr is amazing . Carry it on duty as well .. imo my favorite Glock ever made is the 48 with shield arms mag and +5 extension. Or at least for concealed carry
@@JUSTheTIP-on5cb I’ve been through so many pistols for OD carry and never found anything I liked as much as my G45. Decided I’d carry it everywhere so I’m married to it. A little uncomfortable at times but worth having the pistol I train with on me when I have my family with me

@@JUSTheTIP-on5cb I agree. The 43x is literally a miniturized version of the G45. I couldn't believe how well it shoots. Paid for the S15/20 mags and also the optics cut for the Holosun. Thank you for your service.

I've carried a Glock 45 for 2 years now. Carried concealed. It's big, but I'm going to tell you. I LOVE it. Recently got a hellcat for lighter clothing, but damn I love my G45. I don't feel alone anymore!

Love the video, I retired after almost 30 years as a street cop in an urban area, always carried Sigs. Still work part time with my dept. And they just went to this weapon. I can either purchase this on my own or carry the sig. You just helped me make up my mind. Very helpful and I will be purchasing!
We just lost a sheriff’s deputy in a motorcycle wreck while he was providing escort. …24 years of service a week before Christmas. I salute him and his family. I cannot imagine their pain this year. He gave his life to this community.

The G45 Glock and the Holosun 507 with the Circle Dot Reticle changed my life. I literally shot the bullseye out at 15 yards with my first two magazines rapid fire total mag dump. The 45 is the flattest shooting 9mm I've ever fired. I've NEVER done that even when taking careful aim one shot at a time. The bullseye was subsequently eviscerated in all 12 of my 6" targets.
Bruh ... Took the G45 and the M18 w/Wilson combat grip on a spin at the range and left feeling like a trained marksmen 😂 Nightsights on both, no red dots, cleared the whole Bullseye... Both dead ass accurate ... Gotta love it
@@omegabronzeman definitley. my older eyes really appriciate the circle dot reticle. if i were still young, i'd never put a red dot on my pistol.

Cz p10c shoots a little flatter, I have them both only reason I think/ know that (p10c has a much "chunkier" barrell)
Better than the17?
The gen 4 19 mos is still my favorite. I love the texture on it and adding a magwell makes the grip feel perfect for me. The trigger is the correct distance, the finger grooves are comfy, the recoil is nearly perfect, and i got an above average stock trigger. The magwell is maybe the single biggest improvement imo.
People with child size hands always love the 19
We were hosting a shoot at the range and one guy showed up with a new G45 he purchased on the way to the range. We were shooting a 14 inch target at 200 yards. I fired the first rounds and hit 8 out of 10 shots from the unsupported standing position. If I were to purchase a new Glock this would be the one.
This has been my EDC for the past 2 yrs with a RMR and a Trl~8A

I suggest renting one first. I personally like shooting G17 by ten fold.
I like my G45. Less reciprocating mass and a full size grip for my ape-ish hands
Was a user of upgraded gen 2 g17 for competitions and everywhere carry (dry land, boat, whatever). Recently tried gen 5 17, 19, and 19x/45. Happy new owner of the 45. I’m lefty so went with 45 over the 19x and the ambi mags have issue. Can use whatever you want in the gen5 45, the 19x is technically a gen4.
I had no need for the G45 until I watched this video. Now I want one for the collection!
Grabbed mines today shooting it tomorrow. I just knew I would like it 😆
I carried a 19 for years. My only issue was trying to get a perch on the grip from a seated position. (IWB @ 3:00) This fit the bill perfectly. I wasn't thrilled with the FDE on the 19X and the 19X doesn't take Gen5 mags without modification. With the full grip, it just draws better, shoots better, the difference in concealability is negligible compared to the 19, and still fits all my 19 holsters.

The Glock 45 gen 5 mos is my concealed carry and I now have my 19x with an RMR cut slide for my home defense. Love them both.

Your past video review on the G19X was so enjoyable that I went immediately out and bought one. As you said in that video "I love, love, love this gun!"
The G45 is, from what I have heard, almost the same pistol minus the peanut butter brown and a few other slight features. If I were still a cop (I retired over 20 years ago and carried a G17 for a good part of my career) I'd probably opt for the G45. It looks more professional and law enforcement-ish! I'd buy one now, but since cost is always a factor, I'm going to stick with the 19X and invest the difference in the cost of buying a new pistol into more Range ammunition for the 19X.
By the way, your enthusiasm is contagious. I cannot watch one of your videos without smiling. Keep up the good work on behalf of the 2A community.
I really like your observations and information shared. Our Office just went to these with Trijicon red dot. My scores went way up. In fact, I just bought one for my personal carry. Best pistol I've ever owned.
Bought one a few months ago and put on a RMR. Best Glock ever made.
That specific gun was what I carried when I was a LEO. I absolutely love that gun! I am not a Glock fan boy by any means. I used to carry a Springfield .45 XD for years. However, once the Get came out, it changed the game for me!

I agree completely when it comes to the short slide and larger grip. I bought a 30s years ago and added the G21 mags with a sleeve. It works great. I'm looking for a 45 and 43x right now. Change the 43x's mags to the 15 rounders and there you go.

My every day conceal and carry is a Glock 45 MOS and I totally love it! It is by far my favorite Glock that I own and is also my favorite Glock model too. Excellent gun!

This is my favorite GLOCK...loved it so much, I have TWO of them!
I've had 2 of these for about a year. Bought one for my wife and one for myself. Just went to the glock Store in Nashville and got the titanium guide rod, Pyramide trigger with the 3.5 lb. trigger, enlarged slide stop and slide lock and larger beveled magwell. It is freaking awesome. Best carry gun that I own.
My two current carry guns are the G45 & G26 Gen 4. Yup little old school! I use the G45 for Security work and my fall/winter carry.

Colion. Hey man. Good evening. I bought the standard (non MOS) Glock 45 3 months ago. I love the pistol and the trigger just gets better with use. Thank God NO FINGER GROOVES. The first Glock that I’ve ever owned that DID NOT feel like a bloody 2x4 in my hand. I’m looking to trade my Gen 3 Glock 34 for a Gen 5 just to get free of the “finger grooves”. Short fingers ( NOW VERY ARTHRITIC) and broad beefy palms have long made a 1911 45 ACP a pretty natural fit. I love my G 45. Accurate, DEPENDABLE. GLOCK PERFECTION.

Summertime carry is my hellcat pro as its easier to conceal in shorts
Im 5”6 so g45 looks huge on me but the reliability and the feel it has when i shoot is unmatched

I think I read somewhere that they geared this to be duty gun for LEO's with maximum ammo capacity and a shorter slide to be easier to ride with on patrol. They came out with this literally a week before I was going to the academy, I really wanted to get it but wasn't sure which holster was compatible with it; ended up going with a 17. The department I'm with now just switched to these with RDS and light, it's a beast!

I've personally never felt comfortable shooting glocks however, I borrowed a 19x and was pleasantly impressed. Just my experience, great video
The G45 is my favorite, I own the G19/17 and having the best of both worlds in one is just lovely. I paired it with the Holosun 507C and the Streamlight TLR-1 HL, I freaking love it.
I would say having the grip / frame of 19 and slide/ barrel length of 17 this would be perfection. But wait...this will be the next Glock release. It's just marketing and every amateur saying that 45 is flatter is just bullshit. A havier gun with longer slide is having a less muzzle flip it's the f...g simple physics ...the 45 is the same 17 gen 5.5 with less velocity, less sights radius. The only advantage is towards carrying it if you're sitting in a car. Everything else are just disadvantages.
the RTF Gen was what made me decide to actually buy a Glock.

A cool thing about the 45, if you get the threaded barrel, you pretty much have the same barrel length as 17, but with the more compact slide and feel of the 45.
@Chano Leyva you are missing the point. People like the 45 because it has the full size grip with the shorter slide. Yes you can put the longer barrel on the 19, but that has nothing to do with this video.
Agreed that if they had the RTF2 texture on the Gen5 Glocks, especially the new gen5 MOS Glocks, it would truly be perfect out of the box. It’s a shame they killed that off in gen3, but boy am I happy I got a full size one for my 17 when they were selling stripped lowers at 60 bucks a pop.
Out of all my Glocks (G17, G19, 19X, G20, G22C and G32), I absolutely love the 19X.
I own every one you do plus the 43x. It's (no BS) a minature version of the 19x/G45. Shoots just like it. I fell in love with it too. Expensive to set up with the Holosun and S15 Mags but worth it!!!
I love all of my Glocks almost equally, save for one.
The Glock 17 that was my first ever handgun is my favorite. Not because it's the best one I have, but it was my first.

I agree with the shorter slide in the full size frame, particularly in guns chambered in 9mm. The configuration keeps the gun on target better you you get less nose dip as slide goes back into battery since there is less reciprocating mass. Now give me a G26X.
I picked one up today. I am looking forward to shooting this gun and adding it to my EDC rotation.

This is my everyday carry I love it, have the mos model with the Trijicon Rmr and co witmess Trijicon suppressor night sight .

@@grinsi6381 I ended up paying $750 through Gunbroker for mine but $75 went towards the ridiculous fee the local FFL was charging to modify the magazines down to 10 rounds, don't even get me started on that. He literally just drilled & added a rivet I was behind him asking myself how the f is this worth $25

I luv my Glock 22 I run Talon grips on it outstanding control for follow up shots!I put a set of Tru Glow Tritium sights front & rear for low light situations I’ve also changed out the stock 7lb trigger with a worked 4lb trigger.I’ve put over 4,000 rounds they the pipe & it’s just as accurate like the day I bought it.
I got the baseline non, MOS version of the the G45 and have not been disappointed.
I just got into the glock buy in and the G45 is by far the best feeling factory gun I’ve shot. Which might not be as much to some but it’s a smooth shooting easily concealable. I wanna get a zev or greyghost slide

I love Glocks. I love their simplicity. I love their boring reliability. I love that I can replace pretty much any part that might break, on my own. I love that I had plenty of options for lights, holsters and night sights. Not a fanboy, but for edc, and trusting them for my protection, they check all the boxes for me and they've got it where it counts.
i carry the G27 with G23 Mags it fills good in my hand with short slide with full grip like the G17 and great video bro much love from connecticut

My main edc is a Glock 45 MOS and I love it!
The 45 to me is like the Goldilocks of Glock double stack 9s. The 17 to me feels kinda big and unwieldy while the 19 feels alright but I’m constantly repositioning my a hand on the grip. The 45 just sits perfectly in my hand, grip is plenty long enough and the center of gravity just feels spot on.

I am a long time Glock hater (LOVE MY BERETTA 92!) Some of the issues I have had with Glocks are the recoil due to a light lower and how they fit in my hand. None seemed "right" when I held them or shot them. BUT the G45 Glock has got me interested and seeing good in depth videos like this has given me the itch to want to give Glock one more chance. Hopefully I will be a convert in the near future.

I’ve been carrying a 19 MOS for a few years. Now you have me thinking about the 45. The 19 grip is a little short.
You guys must be giants, i cut my G17 frame down to fit G19 mags and i still have some grip space left on the frame(okay maybe 1 or 2mm).
Honestly for concealed carry the only thing that prints for me is the frame (hand grip), the barrel length has no effect, both the G19 and G17 contest for space with my balls, infact the 19 tends to go onto a nut and cause some occasional temporary "paralyzation" while the 17 is always alongside, so for nut safety wjen sitting the bigger 17 slide is safer for my body dynamic.
To each their own, but id certainly recommend cutting your 17's frame and popping a G19 mag in there.
This. I've run a 19 for about 18 months now - shooting about 500 rounds a month... I do pretty well with the 19 now. About a week ago a tried a 19X and the difference for my hands was HUGE so I grabbed a 45.5MOS about 12 hours ago. I didn't realize how much I was compressing my fingers together to get them to fit on the 19. With the G45? Totally relaxed hands.

Having hands that big I'm sure the rest of your "anatomy" shouldn't struggle to conceal a 17.
I'm still waiting on my wife to get her 19 so i can experience the slight slide differences and see is it really makes an actual difference in comfort of carry as the only thing that prints is the handgrip.
G45 is definitely an amazing glock. I have a G19x and agree with what you said. I just wish the G19x was red dot ready

I totally agree with you on the balance, I used to carry a G19 Gen 5 Mos with an RMR but once I shot the G45 I immediately picked one up and put my MOS slide on it and i've been carrying it ever since. Since I own both I can always go back to the G19 frame too which makes it a little more modular. Also Gen 5, best stock triggers by far.

I have a question. Have you every handled the S&W Shield 9mm Performance Center. It's not the latest one. Any thoughts as to handling, performance and recommended upgrades. All I have done is add the Hogue Beavertail grip.

Glock 45 Gen 5 was the first Glock I ever bought, and liked it so much I bought a 34 to go with it.
This is what i'm deciding to get once the ccw approval comes through. Been looking alot, and familiar with glocks, this will be the edc.
Bought & carrying 1 of these as my duty gun with a Holosun 509T & Streamlight Trl1HL. Great pistol

I remember when the Glock 19X came out some guys were questioning why a full-size frame with a compact slide. Ironically, many of them were 1911 guys who praised the Combat Commander. The one with the full-size frame and shorter slide. LOL. I carry a G19 Gen 5 and have an AR9 that takes Glock mags, so I have some G17 or mags around. So I'm thinking the G45 may have to join the crew.

100% its a sleeper and I love mine. It has everything plus some for EDC. G19 slide on a G17 body = perfection! Took mine to the range today, funny timing to see this video. I'm a big P365XL guy and run that EDC but had to give my G45 some love today.
