I loved the "Get a theater degree, kids. It's not *totally* useless.
As someone with a theater degree who used to dominate office Halloween costume contests, I felt this in my soul.
As someone who has also studied theater. I loved that line so much😂🤣💖💕

I’ve always felt a little bad for Marisha. She’s the youngest and the others have had some pretty decorated voice careers. She’s absolutely talented but cracking into voice acting as full time job is pretty impossible unless you’re talented AND lucky. When they all had these iconic, well known characters in 2019 and Marisha had Soldier B I couldn’t really think of an iconic character that belonged to her. I hope she gets a lead role in something one day. She deserves it.
I'm surprised she didn't do her Persona 4 Character, Margaret. or Laura Arseid from Trails of cold Steel or one of the 7 Fire Emblem characters she voiced.
But it was a fucking hilarious choice. I love her sense of humor
Now she has Keyleth in the Vox Machina animated series :D can't get cast in a lead role then might as well make it yourself
I've always got the feeling that she intentionally doesn't focus on voice acting as much as the rest of the cast do.

At this point she is doing CR as her main job, being the Creative Director.
Maybe over the years she just found out, that she likes to the behind the sceens stuff more, than being in a VO booth, or on-camera.
And lets face it, considering the way things are at CR, she is damn good at this job!

The 2019 one is Marisha just accepting the fact she hasn't played any iconic characters, which I 100% appreciate.
I was like “I’m sure I’ve heard her somewhere before” but yeah, she was just ensemble voices. But to be fair, those did pay the rent.
She has voiced characters for Fire Emblem not sure if she did that before this episode though

I loved the X-Men (and Mr. Fantastic) costumes. Matt’s Gambit eyes were so cool.
I love the themes they pick! Their own voice roles, X-Men, *eachother*. I think that was my favorite actually. Matt's very subtle natural makeup and the oversized glasses really actually sold him as Laura, and the commitment with the hair coloring from Marisha and Travis (not to mention Travis' t-shirt lmao). They just look like they're having an absolute blast roasting the shit out of each other.

Even though all these costumes are so cool, Sam's lazy Phoenix Wright outfit is still my favorite.
He looks utterly insane. Ace Attorney on a really, really bad day.
And yes, Matt's Gambit eyes were amazing. Can't believe he wore those contacts all night. Really added to the creepiness factor.
And it was unexpected perfection when Matt had those contacts in when he brought Paté de Rolo to life. Impossible to imagine that little bird skull without those eyes gleaming out, now.
I just realized for Marsha’s dark phoenix bit she has some sort of fan blowing to make her move.
This video is the thing that finally made me connect that Sam was the voice of Phoenix Wright. The second I heard that "Hold It!", I went "WAIT, WTF!?" 14:42

To this day I'm still convinced that Matt sitting under the A/C vent in Undeadwood to have his hair in a perpetual breeze each episode was intentional.
I've never cried from laughing as much as I did when I first saw Travis-Orly playing those 'bagpipes'

I think in terms of overall best Halloween costumes, I'll do it like this:
Matt: Geralt (2015). He made all that himself, and put a lot of love into it... even if it was so very hard to move in. Either that or Artagan (2020).
Travis: Two-Face (2019). He really used that theater degree to its utmost.
Marisha: A tie between Ripley (2016), Celia (2020), and Dark Phoenix (2022).
Liam: Astrid Becke (2020), easily. He pulled off that look flawlessly.
Sam: Well... what can I say? Either his costumes are purposefully bad (Pac-Man, Ketchup) or just LOL funny (Burt Reynolds, Mr. Fantastic). Overall, I think his best might be Hotis (2016). He suffered for his art, especially when he reused it in C2. And chances are when he eventually gets to that same point in C3, we'll see it again.
Laura: Either Delilah (2016) or The Gentleman (2020).
Ashley: She's only really had three Halloween episodes, but easily her best is Henry Crabgrass (2020).
Taliesin: He just looks good in EVERY costume. But perhaps his best one IMO is his most recent one, Mr. Sinister (2022).
I think I’ve got to throw in Matt’s Gambit 2022 as well! Him being able to keep those contacts in is a true feat of will

It is my personal favorite Halloween theme so far, especially with Taliesin taking the wholesome route at dressing up as Liam and Marisha playing into all the "Taliesin is an ancient immortal" jokes.

I was listening to the first campaign on Spotify, and the Halloween episode was the first I actually watched so seeing Geralt staring me in the face on opening was pretty jarring
I love how into it Matt is. I wish the others would have similar enthusiasm, but to each their own. Some of the costumes looked so good though!

JUST. LOVE. THIS. UPDATE!! the CR cast keep getting better and better with their costumes. LOVE Ashley Johnson's Emma Frost costume for 2022. She is (frostily) HOT! SAME for Marisha (Jean Grey as Dark Phoenix) and Laura (Rogue)!
Nothing, and I mean nothing, kills me like Travis' Orly intro. It was nothing short of masterful.
Favorite one is Travis as Orly. 16:53 KILLED me. Also, 22:06 sounds exactly like something Taliesin would say.

I think Matt blink more often than usual with his Gambit cosplay. I guess it's because of the contact lenses. I am surprise he kept them on for the whole episode. It does added the benefit of Matt being able to scare Travis more than usual :D.
