db reaction
dragon ball reaction - Zábava
The episode that made many of us shed tears. Goku running towards Grandpa Gohan in tears, hugging him, it makes my heart melt.
Couldn't agree more
It's pretty rare to see Goku crying. Which I think makes it hit more in the few instances when he does.
I may be mistaken, but I think we have only seen him cry twice, first this episode and then all the way to DBS in the tournament of power, when he thought Roshi died.
@@marianarobles7735 If we aren't counting the path to power movie then yeah those are the only two times he has cried.
I think he cried when Krillin throws a rock at him in DBZ when he was chillin on the grass.
xD@@KeijiMaeda86
@@KeijiMaeda86 Honestly I don't think that one counts because that one was mostly a gag scene, also, when you get hit in the head hard enough it is actually normal for the eyes to get watery, that also can happens due to concussions.
I’ve literally waited ever since you started watching this show to get to his episode, and your reaction did NOT disappoint. I still cry at the scene of Goku hugging his Grandpa Gohan as hard as when I first saw it as a kid. And especially now since my mom passed away 8 years ago. We would all react just like Goku if we could spend one more day with a lost loved one.
This episode is one of the biggest reasons DBZ fans should watch DB as well - the payoff when you've learned Goku's character, seeing him this emotional.
It's so good, on par with Goku and Goten meeting for the first time :)
This is easily one of THE BEST episodes of ALL of Dragon Ball! Yet, there are two more episodes coming up that can arguably top this one! You have officially entered the BEST half of the series!!
Literally one of the best episodes in dragonball what a powerful moment
Roshi: I could never imagine hiding who you are to fight Goku. Who would ever do that...
We've only ever seen Goku cry twice. Here, and when Roshi almost died in Super.
My grandpa had passed away 2 years ago, I loved him so much. Seeing this episode now makes it so much harder for me 😢 wish I could see him again
I believe this is the only time Goku cries until that one moment in the Tournament of Power.
I think so...
Most of the time, if Goku feels sad about his friends death, he get angry, like both krillin's death for example.
The only time I remember his crying would be the "path to power" when Eighter dies.
Its Hard not to cry when Goku runs towards his Grandfather and hugs him
Saddest part is that Goku OFFed him and he's unaware of it.
Pilaf's gag reflexes when he ate that left over apple is the most feet he's ever shown in all of DragonBall
Fun fact in the episode when frieza is brought back to life in the tournament of power arc you see goku reenacting the battle he has with his grandpa there. It's an amazing and easily missed reference.
I would have never figured it out unless somebody made a side by side comparison
To be fair, Gohan might not know that Goku is a Saiyan specifically, be he IS the one who found Goku as an infant in a crashed space ship. He definitely knows he's an alien of some kind.
At this point, there were no referenc to alien lore. Goku was just a feral child presumably lost or abandoned in the wilderness. Despot him having a tail, he didn't really get classified as any type of alien since this era of Dragon Ball was still heavily influenced by Sun Wukong the Monkey King legend. Grandpa Gohan knows there's something special about Goku but it was more along the lines of "this kid has a bit of the mystical world in him."
That is one of the most heartfelt, heartbreaking moments in all of the dragonball series 😭
The really cool thing about this fight. In Dragonball Super when Goku was waiting at Fortune Teller Babas place to get Frieza before the tournament of power. Goku is at that ring, and it is punch for punch, him mimicking fighting his grandpa. Which when i found that out, it blew me away.
This episode hit you in the feeling
Goku didn't go looking for Grandpa Gohan in the afterlife because this is where he made peace with his death and they said their goodbyes and so Goku never felt the need to look for him - instead he focused on what he always focuses on: training. Then years flew by fast, both for him and for Grandpa Gohan...
My fav episode! Goku hugging his Grandpa never fails to make me a little teary ❤
Danm i tear up 20 years agoa and still tear from this scene😢
Such emotional 10:25
Goku emotionally running up to Grandpa Gohan has gotta be one of my favorite scenes in all of Dragon Ball. As far as the manga is concerned, this is the only time we ever see him in person. We now know Goku and the others never wished him back to life out of respect, but we gotta also remember that the afterlife in Dragon Ball has a lot of inspiration in Eastern beliefs, among these is the idea that you won't stay in Heaven or Hell forever and that sooner or later your soul will be reincarnated into a new identity. Perhaps the reason Goku never found him in the Other World (or in Heaven, which is a separate place) was because by then it was time for Grandpa Gohan to become a new person and thus essentially ceased to be.
Or because gohan is spending a lot of time with a certain fire goddess.
Kid Goku is the most adorable shounen MC of all time.
Great to see Grandpa Gohan back
even if he is fighting Goku.🐨🐨🐨
This moment is easily the most heart string tugging moment in all of Dragon Ball for me! I will ALWAYS cry like a baby when Goku is reunited with Grandpa Gohan
I always tear up when Goku starts to tear up when hugging his grandpa. So relatable. Also if you keep watching this series your questions about Gohan and the after life and Goku will answer your questions.
8:12 RIP Goku’s tail 😂 The reactions were priceless
10:44 “I looked everywhere for you. I couldn’t find you.” 😢
Sad undertone indeed he was responsible for his grandpa's death
This is where the 1 day visit in the buu saga comes from
The same 1 day pass that Goku got in the buu saga
@ 14:00 ❤ seeing you show this rare feeling of tenderness. I waited for this. Great reaction, AniMelon.
This is one of my favorite episodes in all DB, we get to see a side of goku we never really get to see ever again.
10:27 Such a emotional and cute moment 😭❤️✨
In my headcanon Goku reunited with Grandpa Gohan in Heaven during the 7 years he was dead following the Cell Saga. It only makes sense that he would at some point.
Gohan had a personal vendetta against that Tail 😂
Keep watching more eps goku will meet his grandpa again
Hi Melon
This episode was so cute I love seeing Goku get reunited with Grandpa Gohan
And the part where Gohan asked Master Roshi and the other two take care of Goku for him assume it's like he see Krillin Bulma Yamcha like family to Goku
Such a sweet moment
This is hand down my favorite episode in original Dragon ball
As a kid the reveal that it was Gohan blew my mind! This is a good episode! Can't wait to see your reaction to the future ones!
This episode and specially the part where Goku hugs Grandpa Gohan always makes me so emotional I'm glad you finally got to see it too!
And some of the people says that dragon ball doesn’t have any emotion, sad scenes
So in Dragon Ball Super when Goku is waiting for Freeza for the tournament of power he reenacts this fight
Yeah, Goku never seeing Gohan again after this was always one of the biggest missed opportunities later one with how often they ended up getting killed later.
I don’t think goku ever sees his grandpa again which sucks cause he definitely should’ve seen him the few times goku died at least in some filler episodes. Like the tournament in other world when goku went against Pikon
I couldn't wait to see your reaction to Gohan's unmasking and the tear jarring moment Goku breaks down in tears. One of the most memorable moments in DB.
Definitely liking this video so we can see the rest of the partial scenes on your channel here.
I was excited for you to react to this episode! You never see Goku get like that makes me tear up every time
She totally forgot that master Roshi/Jackie Chun BLEW UP THE MOON!!!!
By the time Z came around Toriyama probably completely forgot about this.
PS: Goku before the tournament of power wen waiting for frieza does the fight whit grandpa ghoan the exact same moves they did here, its pretty nice.
Absolute incredible episode reaction, one of the best. Next one is comedy at its finest. Hope you have an amazing day Animelon!
This is a very wholesome episode. I actually just read the manga of this part recently after you posted up Episode 75. I don't own the whole collection, but I do have this one and the other tournament arcs. Like always, thank you for sharing your journey
Remember melon baba did this with frieza as well
Yeah, this episode always gets me, it's very sweet.
I love Goku’s reaction to Gohan, I highly recommend looking at a clip of the Latin American dub. Apparently the voice actor lost her grandfather not long before she recorded the scene so the emotion easily spills out when she cries as Goku
also the problem with DragonBall reactions is when people actually search Dragonball it shows more of DBZ than actual DB that makes it harder for people unless they actually are specifically looking for DB also in the early episode we see Goku overpowering everyone but in these upcoming episodes we are gonna see that he will have to climb mountains to defeat his bigger foes, also im sure you met inoshikacho
Its awful how Z killed Goku twice yet didnt give him the reunion.
Truly the best episode of Dragon Ball
Damn this girl watches exclusively peak series
Every single time . I tear up every single time when I watch this episode . This was the only single time goku actually cried with full on tears till the dragon ball super Tournament of Power came along where goku tears up when master Roshi Died for the moment till goku revives him
It hits hard and is kind of personal for me since I can relate to Goku, having not had a father figure more than a couple years before htey passed really and him seeing Gohan is the one thing you wish you could do for your grandpa who raised you originally.
You will be happy that's all we can say.
This is still the saddest but happiest moment in the franchise.🥹
Ah, it's all uphill from here.
I cried on my Dr. Pepper. 😭😭😭
Poe *Sighs*: Somehow... Gohan has returned.
I know that DB doesnt do as well with likes but I like every time cause the series is well worth it. Even if you dont continue to post reaction videos definitely watch the rest. There's plenty more powerful moments. I wish we could see reactions to them all.
I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if akira toriyama forgot gohan exists😂
this episode is an absolute gem, possibly my favorite out of any of the dragon ball series
This episode is so beautiful love Goku and Grandpa’s reunion such a great relationship. And cool fight
14:56 it's fun to think that this would also become a part of goku's character later. Maybe that stuck with him all that time.
We all can relate to this. W vid and reaction 💯

yess this is the one
This episode is amazing but the japanese dub version honestly jus makes you cry even more LMFAOO
Goku's not "dead" yet ... you could say at the end of GT, maybe then Goku saw his Grandpa Gohan again.
1 day pass. like Goku in the Buu arc. Or Freeza in the tournament of power. the pass was introduced into the lore way back here :)
I agree, once BA-KOOMs were gone the franchise took a dive and never recovered
Whilst I'm not a fan of this arc at all, it's this episode that makes it all worthwhile.
About Fortune Teller Baba and her one day pass ability; she did the same for Goku when he came back for the Tournament after dying to Cell.
Frieza in super :P
Keep watching till the end he might be back
Another episode that had to have it's song removed for the dub, such a shame
Grandpa ghoan will appear one more time dont worry.
Wait.....Goku returning to fight for one day in the Tournament.....a throwback to this? oO!!!!!! OMG! And nobody standing in this group told Goku that he caused Gohan's death. This is sad. I believe Goku asked for forgiveness and said that he would make up for it in Z.
baboosting the algo
I loved this episode 😀😀
Cuter than the bulma flashing roshi episode?
the next tourney is when things get heated :)
yes Goku will meet GRANDPA GOHAN one LAST TiME, next time with his Wife.
This episode always messes me up to some degree.🥺🥺😭😭
Go watch Rising Fist's version of old man Gokus last day part 2 trust me its all tear Jenkins all his stories are
Yo I'm so glad you finally got answers to your questions! Remember Ms. Zoomer, it took 76 episodes for this to happen. So keep up the patience 😂
P.S. Not ashamed to say I genuinely cried with how happy I was for Goku as a kid. Did it again while watching this. So damn wholesome!
awwwww😭😭😭
Probably never going play it but can you play dragon ball origins 2
I think Grandpa Gohan never appeared again because Toriyama must have forgotten him, as he forgot several characters from OG Dragon Ball, as was the case with Lanchi. They could have Goku meeting him again after he's an adult and apologizing for accidentally killing him and Grandpa Gohan forgiving him, since he's a good grandfather. Maybe they could even fight again and Goku would show him how strong he had become, introduce to him his wife and kids and maybe his granddaughter. Ultimately, it would be much more emotional and memorable than the countless unnecessary transformations in Dragon Ball Super.
He will happear again one more time just in the end of db.
@@andrecontente6370 yes but in an filler episode that is not canon and probably was idea of the anime production team. That's why it was bad
@@claudioadriano5422 u guys and fillers lol
@@andrecontente6370 But it's true! The fillers of the last episodes are very boring.
@@claudioadriano5422 online everyting about dragon ball, im like the japanese, i dont care whats filler ir no, for them dB its db, all of it
7:45 - 8:18 Wee! Weee!! WEEEE!!! Oops!! Uh Oh...
Nice to see a beutiful girl like the same cartoons I use to watch over and over. This is fun.
It the last time we see his grandpa if I remember... Toriyama probably forgot about him or something.
There was a literal homage to him in Super lol
There was that thing in the filler after the 23rd Tournament, but other than that, yeah, that's it for Grandpa Gohan.
But since Goku spent the entirety of the timeskip between Cell and Buu in the Otherworld, we can just assume he was chilling with him from time to time.
tbh, it would be pretty weird for goku and sad for gohan if he didnt@@eskreskao
Maybe as far as cannon is concerned, but w/o going into spoilers, it's certainly not Grandpa Gohan's last on screen appearance.
Goku mentions him when he sees Vegeta turn into a Great Ape, and that's when he finally realizes how he died. Outside of anime-only episodes, this is the last time Grandpa Gohan is ever mentioned, but in this case I don't think it's Toriyama forgetting about him, but more so no longer being relevant to the story.
Toriomie changed the story to make him a sayan, i based dragon ball on "the journey to the west " in dragon ball he is the monkey king. Toriamie is making it up as he goes. I prefer dragon ball to the rest but super looks good.
It honestly gets a little tiresome for me when newer fans haven't watched OG DB and think the Saiyan backstory was it from the beginning. The story of Sun Wukong the Monkey King in Journey to the West is so much more intriguing to me than space alien lore made up on the fly.
@@jessecortez9449 totally agree with you
Attempt 20: Of asking you to start reacting to Young Justice Inavasion ❤🙏🏽
Now she can go back to the Dragonball super episode where he reenacts the fight... And react to it 😄
Spoiler
18:26 - 18:31 WRONG
keep up the good work animelon by the way tonight i will be streaming on steamyard i would love it if you joined the stream toinght if you want to
Man the Mexican Spanish dub was sooooooooo damn precious and emotional. Just hearing goku saying “abuelitooooo” just a tear jerking moment.😭
I was hearing the lines in my head as I was watching this. It truly elevates the scene! Our dub is a treasure.
Fun fact, Laura Torres' grandfather had passed away recently when this episode was being recorded. So a lot of that emotion comes from a real place.
@@PalindroneV2 yea I knew about that and holy shit does it hit even deeper just knowing that while watching that scene…..
