Turbulence is a 1997 American action thriller film directed by Robert Butler and starring Ray Liotta and Lauren Holly. - Zábava
I agree Catherine Hicks should have been the lead. Despite a poor performance from LH, I still had fun with it as to me it was quite well made, well paced and entertaining. I leave my brain cells out the door and enjoy it. Good review and respect your opinions.
Ray Liota is dead? Man I had no idea. Always liked him. And yes they will still fly even if there is just one passenger as far as I know
Was Lauren Holly married to Jim Carrey at the time? If so then that tells you all you need to know.
I have seen this Thriller movie Turbulence. RIP Ray Liotta. He is the greatest actors ever. he played a madman who takes control of the aeroplane in the movie, he delivered some crazy performances. It wasn't a best movie in the 1990s.
my favorite LIOTTA flicks (next to copland) are 3 little known tarantinoesk thrillers he did in late 90s
UNTOUCHABLE ; INFERNO ; PHOENIX
You’re just trying to be a contrarian, he wasn’t even in a movie called Untouchable, you’re thinking of called Unforgettable.
R.I.P. Ray Liotta.
1:14 Yeah I remember that trailer bro.
4:47 I actually never minded her in "Dragon-The Bruce Lee Story" but hey that's just me.
8:17 True maybe they did on purpose since she survived "Chucky" lol?
9:51 Or how about if Halle Berry was the lead instead? She would work much better in this role then she did in" Executive Decision" IMHO.
I haven't seen this film since the 90's on VHS I rented from my local video store maybe I'll revisit it sometime? I never bothered with the straight to video sequels with Craig Sheffer. Solid job on the rant bro👍
This movie is coming on tomorrow night on starz movie channel
one of these airplane movies from 97 - i see
con air 10/10
turbulence 7.5/10 (to me - kept up the thrills, solid)
air force one 5/10
You think Turbulence is better than Air Force One?
3:55 - that's one of the most unrealistic parts of the movie, mostly if not ALWAYS, no.
20:28 - for the very most part, no. Not a lot, very few in fact, action movie anthologies out there.
United and Delta were the last US airlines to fly 747s until both retired their 747-400s in 2017. The only airlines still flying 747s are Lufthansa, China Air, Korean Air; a few cargo airlines, and various government 747s around the world. Sadly, Boeing ended production on the 747 very recently. The next Air Force One planes that will replace the current AFO are 2 747-8s that were undelivered to the former Russian airline Transaero, due to be in service by 2025, I think.
Turbulence isn't that Bad of a movie but I can't belive they made 2 Garbage Sequels to this Crap lol
Ray Liotta is the Man! I miss him and hate that he died so young. He was a wonderful actor! I enjoyed his performance but I agree Lauren Holly is terrible in this movie. If you had a different actress I think the film would have been much better too.
The closest thing I've seen to an action movie anthology was the BMW films series starring Clive Owen where a bunch of directors did short action films to promote BMW. Theres also a film called Blood, Sweat and Terrors from 2018 that's apparently an action anthology.
This movie kinda okay 👍 in my opinion
Hey Matthew off topic did you heard about the rumors about Indiana Jones 5 because he may get killed off by time traveler and the goddaughter will become the new jones in the show with out him and the three trilogy movies doesn’t matter anymore
Dude I heard same rumors it's what you expect kill off our heros make them die instead of retirement sad way to milk franchises
I wouldnt mind seeing a remake to this movie. Hell they already remake good movie that dont need to be remade like Jacob's ladder why not bad movie like this? lol
Just in time for Matt's rants.
I wasn't a big fan of this one, either. To say that I would hate it would be a stretch, but I didn't care for it that much. I remember finding this at Walgreens back in 2012 for $2. Yes, I got this movie for dirt cheap. I thought at the time "why not?" Plus, it was Christmas time when I got it.
Then when I watched it, it just didn't mesh well with my taste. Yes, the trailer seems much better than the movie. I know that it was sold as something similar to Air Force One or Passenger 57, both of which I have enjoyed.
You were right about Ray Liotta (RIP) having fun in the role, and he was the best part of it. But it wasn't enough. Hell, after he was defeated, the film's climax was mostly Lauren Holly trying to land a plane. I still remember the part when the landing gear wheel got attached to a Ford Bronco.
I wouldn't say this is the worst movie that I've watched. If I could watch it again, I wouldn't have a problem with it. I wasn't a big fan of the second film, and I would say that I would rather watch the first film over the second one. I still have not seen the third one about the heavy metal concert, but I remember seeing a trailer of it and it had a B-movie type of vibe to it. Maybe I will check that out to see what is up.
air force one + passenger 57 ? along w TOP GUN those movies never "TAKE OFF" for me if you get my "DRIFT" ..... no seriously, those had average action scenes but to each their own, i just tought turbulence was better done and more gripping
Is this movie... turbular? :D
Ray liotta steals the film in this film could be been passenger 57 part 2 you could even put Wesley snipes in the film Lauren Holly just looks flat in this film her acting is terrible and wooden as 🪴
