- Hey, crew! Today we tie up a few loose ends. Before, the water fill port was under a cheap plastic deck hatch, so we raised it to be a regular fill tube. We also start work to bring up the forward hold coaming to match the false deck.
We're into the last 12 hours of our Kickstarter campaign. You can still grab your sharebox of cod or rockfish, head on over to the link below to help us fully fund our project!

Hello from Azores Island Portugal. I m fallow your work for lo g time. I enjoy it.
Keep it going
How about screwing some boards to the inside walls of the hole and level all four sides to the height needed to level the hatch and fiberglass them in place?
We considered that, but the top flange really needs to be flat so a watertight gasket can seal the hatch to combing. This will prevent water intrusion into the hold when we are in rough weather.
What if you hung the vacuum from a bungee chord?
What foam are you guys using for the fiberglass coring.
How much more hold space in this rig over the FishTale?
Conservative estimate is 2 to 2 1/2 times larger.
