November 2021
Rusty, as a fellow Dubliner, Cian's disappearance is quite well known in Ireland. Cian's mother has been on the news, about this. God bless them🇮🇪🧚♂️☘ they are in my prayers🙏
The Trevor Deeley case in Eire is also a mystifying one where missing people cases are concerned !!!!
My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends, this happens more than most people know, the parks should rent out ,location devices and make it mandatory ,or don't let them into the park's, all of the parks she do this ,it would save lives ,I can understand if people don't watch to have big brother knowing where they are at all times ,from having a location device, people never think it will happen to them, or someone they know ,in reality it is happening all to often..prayers for the families of the missing 🙏🏻
🙏
@@meredithahern-tamilio4667 ikr I mean if the get millions of visitors a year not only would it save dozens of lives but they would make so much money. It's a no brainer really
Do Dubliners know what a Sasquatch is ?
Cian looks like a nice guy. Seems to me that lots of people would like to go hiking with him. A pity he didn't invite someone.
My same thoughts.
This park is beautiful but full on wild. Dangers around every corner. Some of the worst lightning I've ever seen. Snowstorms in July.
Bull moose with a bad attitude among others!
Yeah, really sounds like Cian just wasn't fully prepared for that kind of environ. Still, weird all those skilled searchers didn't find a trace of him or his possessions.....really hope it's solved soon.
He went missing while we were there visiting this summer! I was always disappointed that there wasn’t more news coverage for him!
I have seen posters about him missing in August.
Perhaps it's time's as past times folks trapesings offs by there's selfs as ones with agroupes ECT. Let's have accountability for people's out there's as these parks beyonds most people's that goes out there's ECT Distance are not what's people's sees ins genrals out there's furthers than they realized ECT. Just because they hiked befores don't makes anything s out there's you cans sees ECT. So let's gets something s out here's smart folks toos combats this problems for folks ECT . accountability s for all's. Times times lines ,as where abouts of hikers checkinings ins has tobes amust ECT. Let's get after this accountability ECT. Thank you
... as an experienced hiker I don't go into the bush unless I'm prepared,,, hard to call someone experienced when they don't respect the environment they're walking into, and yes it's a lack of respect that sends someone hiking by themselves into rugged terrain without a backpack in case of emergencies.. I live in the Pacific Northwest and I know my mountains and valleys very well and I still will not leave my truck without water warmer clothes food and a machete, because I respect these mountains!
It is about respect
That place looks breathtakingly beautiful but too like very difficult terrass, I'm so many people overestimate their capabilities and specially if you're not used to hike in places like this and must be extremely difficult to find someone who gets lost or their body, so his death is really not a mystery if you actually think.
Prayers for Cian and family and also pray for eventual closure for a family in deep distress. Thank you Rusty for continuing to bring these anomalous cases to light. We can't forget these people.
Notification about Rusty West: game closed, TV ignored & big smile. But this 1 happened on my birthday 💔. I could sit & listen to u talk all day, extremely relaxing for some reason 🤷♀️. ALWAYS love these notifications. Love ya Rusty ❤
Ha, ha. I've been ignoring the TV since 2008... ; )
Happy Birthday 🎂
lol happy birthday 🎂
He went missing on my birthday too.
Hello there Rusty, good to see another video from you. Although the subject matter is very sad and puzzling.
I still don't understand why people hike alone or without a PLB when they know many people has mysterioulsy dissappeared in parks around the US for 100's years.
Sadly although I heard it happened once a group of armed veterans who went to hunt also disappeared, but I don't remember well heard it some years hago
Ignorance i guess? Or a feeling of an infallibility
I don’t get it either..
@@kristymoore7052 Stand-up comedian huh? Cool. 🖖
Copious amounts of ego and the total lack of respect for the environment you are embarking upon is what makes people do things like this. You don't go into the bush with no resources, unless you want issues
My favorite notification.........a new Rusty West video! ❤️
I was at Grand Teton NP when he went missing and I only knew about his disappearance because I follow a YT channel that talks about recent missing persons. We didn't see one poster about him at all.
Eta, there were a lot of signs posted about increased bear activity in the area.
It’s sad that National Parks seem to take this position with missing hikers. It’s not like visitors are going to quit coming because of these disappearances.
Thanks for Sharing This With All Of US VERY MUCH APPRECIATED
PRAYERS AN BLESSINGS TO ALL FAMILY AN FRIENDS
My sister worked at the lodge in moose right there. She told me they were looking for multiple people in that area
Seems like people don't take this seriously enough, that place looks like pure wilderness, perhaps more education is needed how to prepare if you specially hike in a wild national park. I totally understand why people want to go there, looks absolutely breathtaking but it's no regular hike to go there. I wonder too if some got too close to bears.
YAY, Rusty is back! Thank you for caring for the lost.
So nice to hear from you again, Rusty. I've been following Cian's story for several months. My prayers go out to his family and friends.
I've seen Cian's mom in interviews here in the states. My heart hurts for her and his loved ones. Cian seems like a easy to like guy. I truly hope his mom gets answers and that Cian can go home. 💛
Does anybody else try to envision what rusty looks like? I try, but my vision is probably way off. He seems to me like one of those people who surprise you when you see what he really looks like. Maybe a lot of these people get out there, do some kind of powerful psychedelic, and truly get to "the other side". This dude definitely looked like someone who might partake of some dmt or something. It's just crazy how so many folks just seem to vanish into thin air and often are never found; not even a trace. After researching this phenomenon in depth, I have to believe there is more to many of these cases than simply getting lost. Your mind truly starts to run wild with the strange possibilities of what the explanation could be. You have to be careful not to dive all the way into that rabbit hole. Just rappel down in there enough to get a good look and be sure you can get back out.
I have no idea what he looks like - but his voice, narrative cadence, impossible-to-place accent makes me picture like,
a cowboy type guy. Southern accent. Shit even now I’m about to give up listening because the variable pronunciation of his words is too complicated to process in real time
Uuuuuuuuugh it drives me NUTS that he hasn't shown his face T-T the curiousity KILLS me. I've been trying to place the accent too.
Good to hear your voice again Rusty. But another tragic mystery.
Never go on your own!!!
@@marjorieallworth6172 people who go with more disapear too
Your dead right Samanta - however I feel that if you are with others AND you all watch out for each other its safer
Just that matter of fact statement, "...if you cross paths with any of these creatures under the wrong circumstances it won't be good for you..." is enough to keep my ass outta the wild 😮😮😮😮
thanks Rusty for the share. Always enjoy your videos. Hit the like button folks!
I remember this case really well as I was working in yellowstone at the time. I always had my theories about what happened to Cian. I tend to revisit this case often as I always felt a bit more connected to it more than most. I'm always hoping for a new piece of evidence.
Wild life aside, the trail to delta lake can be incredibly tricky as it requires some boulder hopping through large boulder fields. There's a term I learned about doing research about hiking the Grand Teton and Middle Teton, called glacier hydrology. Essentially when ice melts, it melts from the top down and creates a system of running water underneath the ice. Some of the crevices underneath the icy shelves are just big enough for a body to fit into. Cian went missing pretty early into the summer season when the ice melt would have been very heavy. Cian could have easily slipped while boulder hopping and fallen into one of these crevices. He would have been swept away instantly. While hiking the trail up to middle teton I made notice of how fast the water was flowing and how inescapable it would have been if you were swept under.
As any experienced hiker could tell you, Cian was not prepared for this hike, day hike or not.
It's always been a fear of mine to go missing during a hike. Against the better judgement of family, friends, and even myself, I am a solo hiker. There's some I just find humbling and incredibly spiritual about the experience. I allow myself to enjoy the vast full and emptiness of it. That said, I always tell everyone I can where I'm going, what trails I'll be on, what time they should expect me back, and I'm always over prepared.
My heart goes out to his family and I wish for closure for them one day.
thanks for sharing Rusty!! 🙏
It is ashame that the parents or spouses of these missing people will end up dieing or even killed themselves. Not knowing or even learning about what happened to their loved ones. I'll keep all those people in my thoughts and prayers. May God Bless all of those people.
Hey Rusty! 👋🏾 💚 I'm so glad you posted!
Thanks for posting Rusty!
Been too long Rusty! Great upload!
Great surprise for a midnight search on U Tube!
We were there a couple days after he went missing. Seems like everyone was watching for him! There were TONS of bears. I pray he is found or at least his remains are found so there can be closure.
Excellent report, Rusty. Thanks.
Thanks for sharing Rusty 💔🙏💔

Another good one well thought video Rusty. Thanks*****
Well done, thanks for sharing 🙏
G'day Rusty,
Keep up the superb work mate, Love from down under. 😉
Ohhhh !!! I love ❤️ seeing a Rusty upload !!! Love from Tennessee!!!
I saw that on (10/26/21)? Cian was found at Teton Pass (27 km from the area where Gabby Petito was found). No other details were available. Thank God for this closure for his family & friends, but its a very sad ending to this missing person's story.😔 Hopefully, more people will hike together or in a group in this area.
To clarify, Cian is still missing.
I dont think anyone thinks that a serial killer is involved. Im also working on a Cian video that I will post in the next few weeks.
Agree. Something is going on
He is bear 💩
Still working on it?
Excellent again, Rusty!
Really good to see you put a video out. Probably the most iconic voice on CZcams. I hope you’re doing well Rusty. Stay safe.
perfect timing
Thanks for a great upload. I feel so bad for his fmy.
Horrifying disappearances!! Sooo sad for their families 😢 Thanks Rusty for updating us. I heard about Cian's disappearance, the 1st day he went missing. I kept hoping for good news 😒❤
Great job thanks Rusy.
Hi rusty thank you for the video!!!!! On your next video can you please do the creepy stories that people have had in the mountains? Those are soooo creepy actually scares me. 🥰😊
So happy to hear from you again.
Dude... it's not a real person it's an AI bot
Great video Rusty, I know some people like to hike alone but perhaps best to go with others, especially in this park with its dubious history and difficult terrain in parts.
Id LOVE to hike alone because I’m an introvert and want to get away from people ALL the time! But…the idea of getting lost, being stuck with the dangers of the wild animals, etc, gets me freaked and keeps me away from it.
@@EphemeralProductions Hi Tall guy. ..yes know exactly what you mean...just to be on your own in the wilderness and be at one with your surrounds....but too many fears echo in your mind of all the things that could happen 😨....lol.....it's a shame but lots of people do it and are fine but personally I'm too scared to even walk through a small forest on my own!
@@celestenova777 Women alone are particularly vulnerable.Find trusted companions to hike with, and enjoy the outdoors.A hiking group is extremely unlikely to have a mishap,or face danger,as long as you stay in close proximity to one another.
@@dennisreagin2949 yes you are right. Best to hike together but as you say close proximity to one another as there are quite a few cases where last in line or first, or even just going round a path's bend, somehow disappear. Perhaps we should all be tethered to one another like toddlers...lol...take care😊.

Keep posting dear
Just commenting for the algo, great job dude. Your doing great work
Nice surprise !!! Thanks Mr. Rusty
Glad you're back Rusty 🙂
Thank you Rusty and my heart goes out to Cian's family.
Nature is overwhelmingly beautiful, but is sometimes very dangerous in these kinds of wild areas!
In such large nature areas it is best to go with a group and preferably not alone, although I often did that myself (not very smart) when I was younger!
Have been to grand teton (and Yellowstone on the same day!) and it was LOVELY! I so want to go back. I got a panoramic pic of the Tetons. 😁. Stayed at the KOA in Jackson hole also it was a cool little town. :)
My prayers go out to Cians family and friends !
💚 Blessings everybody and stay safe out there ! 💚
Thank you Rusty !

Nice to have you back, any chance you are making more +3 and +4 hours videoes? Greetings from Copenhagen, Denmark

Firearms not permitted on remote wilderness trails where people have gone missing? Yeah, just try and stop me.
Really. IDC. I'm not going unarmed into the wilderness. Bear mace? Yes I'll gladly take that. I'm taking at least one of my guns too. Maybe a couple? Yeah.
Everyone carries...just don't print.
Bringing the long stick 😉
Rusty does a good job, with the photos and haunting music , I feel like I am at these different parks,
Being an Idaho native, the wilderness is very unforgiving. My heart goes out to the families. Grand Teton...pronounced Tee-Ton, is full of bears, wolves and many other wild animals. I hope people will remember that.
Perhaps!! The worst animals humans , But you falls get hurts you have more of chance of being s founds now's ECT. As lots people's go through this areas
Yoohoo Rusty I'm happy your back
Was he prepared for the cold weather?
Absolutely no one is prepared for the invisible tree climbers that people report encountering. Even some have been recorded on video. There are creatures out there that are dangerous if encountered by one's self .Some are typical predators and some not-so-typical. It's best not to hike by yourself! If you go hiking and groups, stay close together!
What are invisible tree climbers
@@brittany9414 this must be your first hour of research. 🙄
@@brittany9414 Have you ever watched the movie "Predator"? It was a documentary.....
@@reesedaniel5835 no it wasn't. It was found footage!
Sad story and I hope they find answers. I've been there and there is lots of bear activity. Although mostly it's accidents. If you fell and became unconscious then even if you had a beacon it would do no good. People hike alone because it's hard to make plans with busy people.
Lots of prayers for his family from Ireland 🇮🇪🇮🇪🙏🙏
Very strange and interesting but of course Sad too!! I'll pray for a miraculous outcome. I think of his loved ones and I just hope they can find the strength to hang in there and keep going!!
Terrific to hear from you Rusty. I was just wondering the other night when we'd hear from you. Prayers for Cian's family. Animal attacks usually leave evidence behind so I doubt that's what happened. Could be a good hunting ground for serial killer tho esp if they know area well.
A serial killer usually leaves clues, there would be signs of a struggle. The hiker was a full grown man, harder for a person to kidnap and carry him away or dispose of a body. This is probably a missing 411 case.
@@texasrose2315 he could have been held at gun point tho.
@@nickyblue4866 Usually a person staying in the woods, there would signs of a fire or a camp, or someone would have report seeing a person. Several people reported seeing the missing hiker, never said he was with anyone else.
@@texasrose2315 fair enough point.
@@nickyblue4866 If haven't read any books if the missing 411 or listen to the YT channel, I woukd recommend it. David goes to great lengths to exclude animal attacks, abductions etc. I found it very interesting, there are more people than you hear of that have gone missing under strange circumstances.
OH BOY Rusty's new video!!! hold on i gotta watch this!!!
Yup!
Thanks. Rusty. Stay safe on all your many travels sir. Hope all this crazy logistics mess isn't ruffling your hair too much mate. It just gets nuttier every day.🙏💔🦃 Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving! I hope Diane family will have answers, good ones hopefully, for their holiday times as well. I know they don't do our Thanksgiving in Ireland but I can bet the day they find him will be THEIR Thanksgiving. God bless.🍀 Ireland is the country I have most wanted to see.
His remains were subsequently found in Teton Pass , an area 27km from where Ms Gabby Petito was discovered.

Hey Rusty my nephew is missing and his girlfriend 6 months the police don't care we need help will u cover their story we are desperate .
Probably a murder-suicide. Just need to find the bodies.
Can you do some videos on strange disappearances in Canada?
Each narrator has their own gig & style of formatting. What Rusty has is a natural gift all of his own. So .. does similar ones that put out zillions of content that's not edited properly. Less is really more.
I get that the national parks are enormous areas but not a single shred of cloth, scrap of paper, absolutely no hiking or camping gear. It’s just too bizarre. 🤔🦋💜🦋
Best missing person host ever rusty missed ur voice

Rusty👐👐👐👐 new episode!
Hiking Solo is simply a gamble of when you'll die not if.
Not having the 10 essentials and how to use them is a guarantee of one's fate.
My girlfriend grew up with Cian in the eco village. She still has dreams about him
Truly sad. 😥
Someone with depression/ ideation of s**cide will often retreat , hide, withdraw.
Some people can't bring themselves to do it--
so they wander off into the woods , hoping that exposure or animals will end them.
Sorry if that fact bothers you...but it is fact .
The family will never admit this fact.
The family is always , always , in denial.
This is just too weird......
My heart goes out to families who have lost loved ones .......
But every where I look on line these days too many people are missing and found dead......
People are being told NOT TO HIKE ALONE yet they keep on hiking ALONE !!!
I love the great outdoors as much as any outdoors person but I will always practice safety ......
Are the missing hikers for real or is this another corrupt gov ploy to scare people out of certain areas...?
Because if they are finding dead bodies everywhere in these National Parks then where is the serious investigations that SHOULD BE HAPPENING ???
THERE IS TOO MANY THINGS THAT ARE NOT ADDING UP !!!
Tee taun area has so much wildlife, it’s a more certain the few ppl who go into that park met animal prey rather than criminal foul play.
I really feel that people are unaware of how vast and challenging these American wilderness areas truly are. There is nothing out there for help if you get into trouble. Nature is very unforgiving. Those portable emergency beacons seem like a great idea. I think serial killers and supernatural beings are a very distant second.
It's "TEE-ton", not "Teetin" I lived and worked in the park. Too many people visit thinking it's a county park, unprepared for sudden mishaps. More happens there than the park service will admit.
Hello Rusty!🤗
Your inflection kills me. Lol

What about the hundreds of others who have gone missing in the woods without a trace? All rockslides?
A fellow went missing in my mountains recently with a Tracker and everything, they searched and searched but couldn't find him,, a few months later In the Heat of the summer my landlord's boyfriend found him, he had slipped between the ice and the mountain and gone underneath they found him when the ice melted away enough to show his body.
,,, and to answer the other fellow I have seen so many mystery cases about the mountains where I live but there ain't nothing mysterious about any of them,, we got Eagles around here that carry away dogs people crying that Sasquatch took their three-year-old when they let it run onto the beach by themselves are morons who don't respect the Wilderness,,
@@TheRealJaded You tell me, sounds like you know all?
@@moocyfarus8549 It's amazing how people connect rock fields with UFO'S or Bigfoot, they have no idea how to read terrain, you slip between rocks and you're done if you're alone, and if you don't pay attention to existing slag that has rolled down the face already well good luck.
Sometimes I wonder if certain areas were cursed and received develish names for that reason
It could be anything from those mountains, they're one of the most dangerous places on the American continent. From psychos to sasquatch to landslides to just the environment can kill you there.

If the Department of the Interior is in charge with supervising national parks, aren’t they aware of these folks disappearances??? Who is keeping a record about people disappearing every time they visit these parks?? They have to have some type of records or statistics about national parks disappearances , it got to be…….and yet no one has found out why this keeps happening. Sad, it is sad.
FOIA red tape makes it hard. I too question this. No formal records or database? Well said.
Just curious, do ppl ever go missing in pairs or anything more than a single person? Or riding like offroad motorbikes? I used to do this (offroading) alot in the california desert., . . alone.
