I got yelled at working in retail for taking so long in the bathroom. My MALE manager asked what took me so long, I tried to just leave it at being in the bathroom. Not good enough.

I do not wear make up. At all. Because of severe skin allergies.
So I proceeded to describe in great detail the horrors of an extra heavy period and how I sprung a leak and just how badly the blood got everywhere.
He turned a lovely green shade and stammered that next time I should give a heads up if I might be a while. He never shook my hand again after that....might have had something to do with the mental image of blood all over my hands!
Well that is what he gets for insisting!😅
I feel like maybe a lot of guys don't know that periods very often cause a bloody hand or 2 (because hand washing is a thing), It may gross some out but I'm still plenty willing to shake mens hands even being fully aware of what many get up to with at least one of them!😅

So this is my friend’s story and it’s really aggravating. So one day my friend ( let’s call him GG ) invited me to the mall to hang out. GG is gay and transgender and expresses it very openly ( like gay pride shirts and pins ). Well before I came to the mall GG was in the food court waiting for when a random woman ( EW: Entitled Woman ) asked him what he was.... The following conversation went
GG: A human being
EW:No like what’s in your pants
GG: Oh, let me check ( flips her off )
EW: Ugh, how rude!! ( leaves )
When he told me this I got really mad, but was proud of him because here’s the thing y’all never ask one that, it’s creepy.. Also I understand he could have handled the situation a little better but the guy is 13 and when a GROWN WOMAN or any adult asks a CHILD what in their pants then that’s just creepy ESPECIALLY when u don’t even know them.

@@zombiesabrr Heh, to be fair, I'm trans and get the same kind of question myself a lot about if gay trans people are gay before or after they transition. While the question might seem awkward at first, it's usually asked with good intentions, since it implies the asker is acknowledging that the trans person is in fact changing genders. And if someone says they are gay (as opposed to bi/pan/etc.) then it implies they only like the same gender, so it is rather fair to ask if that applies to their gender before or after transition. And most trans people I know who have fully transitioned do change/switch the label they use for their sexual orientation afterwards, if the terminology is appropriate. For people who are not trans, or not in the LGBT+ community, this can all be a little confusing. So while I can't swear by it in this case, I suspect the question was asked out of genuine curiosity, with no disrespect intended. It usually is when people ask me things like that.

The second story reminds me of the time I needed BOTH my knees replaced. I was given 4 weeks notice for the surgery so I put in my application for leave (6 - 7 weeks) the following day, giving them plenty of time to find someone to fill my shifts. I should also note that I am a nurse in an operating theatre and I was having the operation at the hospital where I work, so it was in their own interests to get my knees fixed so I could walk more easily at work. At that time I was only working 3 days a fortnight because the pain of walking on severely arthritic knees was too much for me.
On the Friday before my surgery (it was on the following Thursday), just as I was leaving for the day, I was told that I could not have leave for the surgery, but I could resign and come back as casual when I was well again. I said nothing and went home. When I arrived home I sent an email to my bosses boss (the one who had made the decision) detailing all the information I had been told and requesting that they put this all in writing (they never did).
I also called the Union who told me not to resign under any circumstances and that my work could refuse to pay me annual leave pay for the time off but they couldn't refuse to give me the time off or sack me for taking the time off.
On the Monday my bosses boss arrived at my work and called me into the office to inform me that I would be given paid leave for 6 weeks and allowed leave without pay for the remainder of whatever I needed.
In the end I only needed to take 1 day without pay and today, more than a year later I am walking better than I have for 20 years. I have increased my hours so I am now working 3 - 4 days a week and sometimes extra on top of that.

I was in "school" (not really a school but english is not my first language and I don't know how to describe it)
The year started and during summer I lost my first childhood friend, the first friend I made in my existence.
So for a few months, I could easily cry just of the thought of him.

The silent that went right after made me smile and I knew that if my friends was still alive he would have laughed.

I’ve been to afraid to tell my mother, and I’m 14 now. Should I tell her? I think she would be mad I waited so long cuz she is one of THOSE parents.
I'm sorry such a horrible thing happened to you. I would recommend telling her if you're comfortable with it, or at least telling someone adult that you trust. I'm not sure how you cope, but therapy, etc, may be a good idea if you are struggling in any area at all. It always feels nice to have someone at your back, too. She might be horrified that you waited, but she shouldn't be mad at you. The attacker and situation... very much so.
If she is really bad, though, I recommend telling another adult that you trust. They might be able to help you with that and with your mum.

I had a councillor when I made this comment originally, sadly I no longer have one. I’m 17 now and luckily surrounded by decently good friends and support system and I’m doing slightly better, but I’m still mentally all over the place and terrified of any form on commitment but also abandonment, I’m also terrified of sexual interactions
