Isaiah Washington sat down for his first-ever VladTV interview, and he started off speaking about growing up in Houston. He explained that his grandmother was Jewish, so he grew up eating collard greens and gefilte fish. Isaiah added that he was always performing around the house as a kid, and he went on to speak about growing up “country,” which he said was a lot like the hit show “P-Valley.” When asked about an incident that happened when he was 13, Isaiah explained that he saw his father’s name on the TV after he was killed, and Isaiah added that he never had a relationship with his dad. Isaiah explained that his father was abusive, and he recalled getting in-between his parents when they had an altercation.

When he said he didn't think his existence was any different than anyone else's it really made me think about how hard it is to grow up poor in this era. With social media, you can see kids your own age with what appears to be an abundance of wealth so you realize you are poor early on.

Yea, people get along better when they stick their nose is to their own business.
The energy you put out into this world is the energy you will receive back. It cost nothing to be nice to people and to be a kind person.
That’s not always the case, and I have severally thousand instances that can prove it. Remember, (for the most part)we all start off as innocent children that are full of love , and that’s definitely not what we all get in return.
I really like this guy and his body of work. He seems intentional about the roles he picks and respects his profession tremendously 🙌🏾
I remember this brother from many movies he was in from the 90’s…most notably “Love Jones”. Very talented indeed.😎
On top of his obvious hit roles, his cameo in Laurence Fisburne’s ‘Always Outnumbered’ movie was spectacular.
I was just about to bring that up. That’s one of of the greatest movies ever. Isaiah role was small but he had a memorable ass scene. It was funny asf too 😂
