It's amazing. Felix's mental is very good. His tactics is very clear.
Gotta love these freres Lebrun!
That's the silver line when you have a high-pressure older brother at home
Fantastic performance! Can't wait to see how Felix will develop over the next few years. He is sure to be one of the most legitimate threats to Chinese dominance that we have seen in many years.
Or he could drop really fast like his brother.
@@kenji2787Alexis is too inconsistent
@@Dave-dw2dn and how will a penholder be more consistent?
Stupid Lin with his’hand up between each point…
@@kenji2787Felix is more calm than while Alexis is to emotional. I think Felix will have better career than his brother
Lebrun brothers are amazing. From over top 1000 to top 20 within a year. Impressing. Keep it coming boys, you are so refreshing to the sport❤
Felix the new penhold hope in the world! Very very glad to see him thrive in this past year and in the coming future.
Congrats Felix! Amazing match
This is a very high quality win for felix. Will send waves through the Chinese camp.
Magnifique.
Finally, after Xu Xin, there is a player I want to watch every match he plays. Go Felix. Go pen holder. Who said a penholder can't play BH.
One of the best backhands in the world imo. Not due to the power necessarily either but because of the consistency and spin.
Magnifique!!! The boy is good and consistant. Having a stronger front hand spin is adding to his game another level. 17 years old 🎉🎉🎉
this is history, the best under 19 playing against each other
Match is totally changed when using back serve, reminded me same comeback tactics concept for Michael Maze when using the lob.
I think the key factor that won Felix the game is actually his short receive, he was able to read LSD's server very well and not allow LSD to have any easy third ball attack chances.
these 2 young players performance are not consistent. This year (27/2 to 3/5) in the WTT Contender Goa, LIN Shidong beat Felix LEBRUN. Just wait and see their next meeting.
@@user-xq6ty5sp6wso, the fact that he beat him 3 sets in a row mean felix is getting better than him?
@@user-xq6ty5sp6wi can't wait than for felix to 3-0 him at this rate Lmao😂😂
@@user-xq6ty5sp6w They already meet 4 times, 2 victories each.
Lsd 😂
The fiery competitive intensity in the eyes of the Lebrun brothers are undeniable !
Indeed, gotta love their pure ping pong passion!🔥🔥🔥
Excellent tactics by Lebrun--effective in changing the spin, speed and placement on every serve and push.
I can totally understand why he favors a compact forehand drive with a slight braking motion at the end of the sweep, so that he can return to counter position rapidly and squared up. But I do think changing the torque angle of the drive so that there is a bit more sidespin and power would make him even harder to compete against. Fun to follow his matches.
I agree. He won't get as much easy power as Ma Lin or Xu Xin who give full extension, but makes up in some other ways. He's a smart cookie though. He changed the serve midway through and kept using it as it was winning pts.
Really looking forward to the spectacle of these two top of the Next Gen crop fighting it out for years to come!
Victory for France not Europe, why are you celebrating?
Felix may not represent his country but he is entitled to be delighted if he is a fan of his style. Why shutting him down like that? Let's celebrate athletes regardless their nationalities even though it is refreshing to witness a European (French yes) player beating a top Chinese player.
@@sebastienguerrero6323 ignore him, @lalafuzzy943 is just a small racist french kid
Fantastique!!..Felix Lebrun at 17 years old with the RVP Penhold is the best!! the next Wang Hao (ironically is the Chinese coach here) Robert at 68.
Beyond gameplan, tactical acumen and technical abilities I really think Felix's main strengh is his mental fortitude. He never seems to be overwhelmed, he's always battling to catch up if needed, always believing in himself. Maybe I'm extrapolating from Li Shidong's attitude but he seemed a bit nervous behind his calmness (I may not be phrasing it properly...), he didn't ooze confidence unlike Felix in my opinion. Both are formidable players and Li Shidong will certainly take his revenge later.
revenge is the name of the game , in ping pong nothing is set in stone , good analysis.
Nice analysis, thanks for our french prodigy 😃
They are all like that at 16 years old. Look at Harimoto. In a couple of years he'll feel the weight of responsibility, China will have downloaded him fully, then we'll see what happens.
Congrats France! I told you guys (months ago now, lol) that The Fabulous Felix would soon replace The Thrill from Brazil as the non-asian #1. Mark my words! Lebrun bros power! Let's go!🔥🔥🔥
Lebrun's rpb would make wang hao proud
The momentum change in later first game set the tone for the entire match, Felix did a great job shutting down Lin's back hand.
Quel match ! Bravo Felix!!
THIS was the match I wanted to see ! I was waiting for this !!! And It was incredible !!! this two players are so good !! and young !! I thought Lin Shindong could become a number one in the future but wasn't expecting that Felix become so good !! He is the European player with the best technic I've seen ! Surely Truls is good too but to me Felix seems to has a better Foodwork etc
Why do you say Felix has better foodwork??? Is he vegetarian, or vegan?...😂
Hahaha cheeky! 😁
He destroyed truls in European championship team but his brother lost 2 matches witch cost the French the lost but French coach are dumb they put Alexis before to Felix they should have switched them and with that France could win the European championship.
His footwork is really good indeed 😅
@@pabloguevara5438 to become a vegetarian can both improve or degrade one's health, it depends on wether the change is made gradually or not.
It's so funny how Felix is screaming all the time xD I love it! That guy has enthusiasm and power on his side. Looking forward to see his career! :)
ahhh I love when someone diffrent than chinese win in table tennis😊
A joy to watch thanks
Bravo au gagnant vrmt très fort
Felix RPB is the best now, he can vary spin speed power and placement. Even Lin, who has a good backhand, try to avoid backhand to backhand exchange. I think this is the key why Felix won. If Felix forehand improve further, then he will become even greater treat for the Chinese
I want to see Felix vs. Xu Xin.
Incroyable
Good quality video, thanks a los. Excellent 👌
good to see Felix using Chinese uncle style (street skilled) serve to win the game. Well done!
Yep, that was unexpected and so effective against Lin. He was probably not ready for that.
I was thinking the same thing. That's the type of serve you'd see an uncle do at your local TT club or the park.
Bro I love watching this kid he is the best
What a powerful play…..never seen anything like it. He constantly attacked full power, never looking back. I’m really amazed!
Felix est incroyable! Surtout son revers !!!!! Il est trop fort!
Their head to head record is 2 - 1 in favor of Lin; but now Lin got a taste of how much Felix has improved since their last meeting. Lin will need to work harder next time.
LIN was not consistent in his tournament. Look how he teamed with Kuai MAN in the mixed doubles and beat World #1 XD pair Wang Chuqin & SUN Yingsha. As for Alexi, let us see his next singles games against the American player.
It's 2-2 actually, they also meet once in U19 team event.
@@elmanuboy so 3-2 for felix i think he won already 1 time before this match
My new héroe Félix Lebrun. Viva la France 🇫🇷
Once again what a great win and game by Félix! His change of pace and placements annoyed Lin a lot, as well as his consistency at the table. His backhand serves were also the key at the end. I absolutely love his game 😍
He is the player with the most progress in the last year in the world, there is no doubt.👍👍👍
My two favourite players, I just saw. One is Felix and my other favourite is...... Wang Hao.
So much nostalgia each time I see Wang Hao. I was so glad when he clinched the world title in 2009 after 2 heartbreaks in the 2004 and 2008 Olympics finals. He was an elite player and this close to become legendary and he is now an elite coach whose progress is closely monitored by Liu Guoliang. I hope Wang Hao will keep on being successful.
What a one sided match ( Lin seemed to have no answer it's weird) once Félix get a stronger forearm he would be almost in the top 5. A lot of new young players like these 2 make the game so interesting.
Good thing that his backhand has wrist power. But he needs to strengthen his forearm like twisting more his body stance
Once Felix saw the winning combination of backhand dead serve and heavy backhand top spin to Lin's backhand Lin was toast.
omgggggggg! insane win!!!
Great game from Felix, the youngest and the best penhold player in the world. His development has out paced his big brother Alex. Felix has a really fast pace that usually puts lots of stress on his opponents. Lin's powerful backhand was off today due in a large part to Felix's pace and placement.
In most sports, quickness and speed are the most important, more so in table tennis. Felix is fast, yet he is also quite consistent. He will be in top 10 and stay there for sure.
Nice analysis, thanks for our prodigy! 😃
@@filougamingfr please stop saying "our", I was being proud of being french then I read two of your comments and now I feel shame.
World top 10 period.
what a match !!!!!!! 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Magnifique rencontre.
Felix has a great backhand
Even though I'm not quite accustomed to speakers from the North of England, I find this commentator so much better than his French equivalent on another channel, who can't even speak his own language properly. Well done, Felix!
This commentator was certainly enjoying the match (like everybody else except maybe some Chinese but I am sure a lot of them enjoyed this match nonetheless) and made relevant remarks but which French commentator are you referring to? I am quite curious and it's been a very long time since I listened to French commentators. I used to watch matches with the former coach of Jean-Philippe Gatien commenting and he was certainly interesting (and quite articulate haha). I hope we can have Adam Bobrow as well in the forthcoming days, he is such a passionate guy!
He’s very bias toward Felix, and bsing the whole time…
Wang Hao doesn’t look like he’s amazed at an European using penhold. He looks frustrated at Lin Shidong’s performance.
Felix is the new Waldner… yeah!
Wait… no big championship for moment
@@Titteeeee Only Europeans games, at 16… like Waldner (European Champion).
@@CMCMTTTV I know but it is quite comparable…
Felix is becoming now a Real Challenge to the Chinese Players!!!!! The Lebrun Brothers together with Truls Mordergaard and the Swedish Team will be good to follow as they slowly but steadily eat at the Chinese Supremacy!!!!
felix's backhand is crazy for a penhold. his serves look so simple to compared to others, like at 18:18, but theres so much variation. future of table tennis is looking good on both sides of the table
That was a pretty a good serve. Some players still waste a lot of mental and physical effort to hide the serve, but I'm sceptical how useful that is within the current rules.
Nice win for Felix
Felix thriving in the Lanzhou library.
Would love to see this match from another angle
Nostalgic moment for Wang Hao.
Wang Hao said Don't worry. LIN is a young player and need more games. Just like Alex Lebrun, who was beaten by LIN Shidong early this year in WTT Contender Goa. Their world is still bright and not limited to 1 defeat.
Crazy game 🎉
Bien joué felix tu régale.
I don't understand the camera angle. Why this?
Congrats Felix 👏👏👏
C'est bien mon Fefe 😊
Bien joué Felix 💪
Wow, as soon as Felix saw that different serve was working he sticked to it throughout the game and almost won every point when he served
Felix 🐭👓🇫🇷 is 🔥
Bravo Felix !!
Third set was the key. After this one, it was the storm in lin's head 🤣Bravo Felix
Wang Hao witnessing the new gold standard of RPB for the new era.
Congratulations Felix!
La France a un talent Extraordinaire
Xu xin is delighted too
Lin's coach himself is an exordinary penholder, so he must know the strategies to win a penholder like Felix
I thought it was impossible to beat Chinese in table tennis, let alone with pen hold. Lol.
Felix is the Best Europe Player 😊
no clapping when Felix won. Chinese Away
There were clapping, the audio just cut out , stop hating 😂😂😂
There were clapping, but not as exciting as that when Lin won. It is understandable. I don’t believe in Paris Olympic, audience will give more clapping to athletes if they are competing with French athletes. As a Chinese, Congratulations to Felix, great performance. But I don’t appreciate unfair comments.
@@Anise-dw7xklol yeah, those fangirls in the audience are noisy af
or***s are bad losers.
super joueur felix👍
What I notice is that not a single Chinese spectator appears to be applauding brilliant points from Lebrun... total silence after his victory. That's a puzzling lack of respect. I fully understand their disappointment about the defeat of Lin Shidong, but in any other country there is at least a display of respect for the opponent. Not here.
And on the other hand, Felix is being kinda annoying, shouting at every single point
Wang Hao looks like he is trying to hide how amused he is at watching Felix excel with the RPB. It looks like he is smiling at 17:30
oh fu*k i didn't even realize after this comment shidong coach was wang hao
Wang Hao probably enjoyed watching Felix who plays like him 😊
wang hao is amazed by felix's RPB skill😃
wang hau must be supporting felix deep inside being a penholder.
In the chinese kingdom Felix is establishing his empire. Les revers de Félix sont chirurgicaux. Go go Félix.
Lebrun’s rally is good all round. But to be a world champ in the future, he shd start training to have a powerful forehand loops (like Xu Xin). Or else, it’ll be difficult to be a world champ with rally only.
With RPB you can hit earlier, harder, more closed angle. RPB is an advantage over shakehand bh loop. RPB will dominate the future!
❤ felix
9:10 Felix: Oh nice!😂😂
Looks like lin doesn't emotionally the high pressure battles, but it looked like Felix is in his element under pressure !!!
Bravo Felix!!!
genius
nouvelle perf a 11 !
