I’ve watched over about 20 drawing tablet videos in the last week, however you are the first one to actually explain how the tablet works vs you just liking it for whatever personal preferences. Thank you
Yeah! Brad doing unboxings!!
But what I like the most is the Glove dance.
hha yess!
Yes of course...
Every one did, although i think most of the people watching Brad's review wasn't even going to buy the product, they're here for the *GLOVE DANCE*
Nobody like its at 69
Bro does anyone wonder where he puts all of his drawing tablets XD
Meeee
He probably sells them off.... Or give it away.
I guess
Eben Concepts I was about to say eBay
Yea lol I do 😂
He probably gave it to someone else, borrow it from the company only to review, or on his closet
Great review as always and also I really like your background it gives a really nice warm ambient feeling
You're slightly downplaying just how good the display is on this one, it has quantum tip technology and a whopping 140% srgb colour gamut and 1200:1 contrast ratio. The colours are vivid and the blacks are very black. Its the best display ive ever seen on a display tablet
This screen seems beautiful - if you have this device can you speak to the 1080p resolution at all? Are the pixels super apparent and does it detract from your working with the product? Thanks!!!
@@danacraft-parker104 You will see the pixels if you lean in looking for them, but it takes concentration to see them and you wont notice them while working. Your brain actually blocks out information like that quite well.
@TheHorlord thank you! I’m having a heck of a time deciding between the 22 plus and the pro 24... I figured it would come down to Black Friday and screen resolution. (The 22 plus frankly has a bit better design in my opinion after watching all the reviews... no side buttons isn’t a deal breaker for me, the less components... the fewer things that can break. Plus, that pro 24 looks like a monster - so many inches from edge to working screen.) My general sense from comments is that the 1080p - looks very good on this screen.
@@danacraft-parker104 Yeah, Ive been very happy with mine. I use a koolertron mini keyboard under my left hand while I work, so it has all the shortcut keys I need
I'm thinking of buying this tablet, do you have any problems with it and would you recommend buying this one?
Awesome review Brad. Keep em coming!
Love your reviews as an artist I always want to know what's new keep it up !
you know it's gonna be a good video when the glove dance is on the animated miniature of the video
Where?
Brad, as always an amazing review! Respect. Keep up the great work.
Thanks :)
@@thebradcolbow So cuuuuuuuuute!

Thank you so much for reviewing this. I just bought the same unit and I'm still waiting for it to arrive
How is it r u still using itt
im an animator and have been using an xp pen 15.6 pro for a little over 2 years i believe... and its worked great but i wanted to move to something bigger . my kamvas 22 plus came in yesterday and its amazing !!! huge upgrade over the xp pen. the 22 plus has less parallax (nearly none) then the xp pen , but the biggest thing i noticed is the pen. the pen this 22 plus came with is way better then the xp pens one. i got alot of wobble with the xp pens pen and the tapers were not nearly as nice. also the xp pen tip depressed alot compared to this one the 22 plus has a way stiffer pen tip. it went beyond my expectations and i couldnt be more thrilled with this purchase.
That sounds great. Mind if i ask about the screen? Do i need to use a film protector or it's not necessary? The 22Plus says that it's fully laminated so i'm not sure. If i get this tablet i don't want to leave any scratches on it by just using it daily.
Hope you see this comment and thank you in advance.
@@AccelSternritter hey, late reply, but the Plus and Pro models come with an etched glass, and scratching it is pretty much impossible (at least for me, I'm a rather light-handed artist). The Kamvas 22 (non plus or pro) only has a matte screen film glued on top, just as the Wacom Cintiq 22, and these tend to get scratched pretty quickly. I have my 24 Plus for 6-7 Months now for heavy duty on a daily basis, and it pretty much looks like it just came fresh out of the box
@@neothespankplank5839 Thank you
I have the small version of this, the kamvas 13 and is a bomb, very precise, pen and lines are awesome, everything is awesome.
Only OG’s will remember when he was Brad Colbow.
I remember 😔👊
Lol I thought I was going crazy.. I did not remember "cowboy"
Thank you Brad for what you do - Artists worldwide owe you loads for your feedback to the oems 👌
Glad to see you do this
I was gonna go with the Kamvas Pro 16, but then I saw this for a similar price and after watching your review, I'm pretty much sold on this.
Oh I like how Huion have stepped up their game, this one looks really interesting.
Maybe they will come out with a 24/27 inch version of this with higher resolution.
They did, it's called Kamvas 24 pro and it's 2.5 K in resolution
@@jon1580 Ah dang, you are right and I have seen it as well haha, what an awesome memory I have :P
I know it's been a year, but you were right, they released the 24 inch version of this tablet. It comes with QHD (more resolution) and the name is Huion Kamvas 24 Plus.
I can't wait to get me one of these!
I got this two weeks ago and i love it
is good when link device work well?
2 months later, can you give us some feedbacks bro? :)
Is 1080p a problem for your eyes?
It holds up really well. My only problem is that the pen does sometimes glitch. After I use the pen for a while the pen nib pushes down and just creates lines without me pushing it down. But the display is great.
@@mjolk1681 thank you bro! Thank you so much for your fast answer!
Do you think the problem with the pen is a driver problem and can be fixed in the future?
Also, would you recommend this tablet over a cintiq 22 HD (no touch no pro) ?
@@dystopiaproject I think the problem with the pen started when I removed the nib and put it back in. So if you get one don't remove the nib unless you have to.
And if i recommend this over a cintiq I just don't know. I wasnt researching this a for a while but i found the huion company. And just as i was thinking about getting a pen display huion had a presale on the kamvas 22 so it was only 499$.
I think it just depends on your budget and prefrence. I think this display is good enough and it satifies my needs but if you want a more premium expirience the wacom is probably better
This is the best product demo sharing that I have ever seen 👍
I think this pen display is the best i've seen yet, outside of Wacom. The initial activation rate is lovely. That's something i've waited years for Cintiq alternatives to catch up with and it's finally here. I've had this display for a few weeks now and I adore this thing. I've tested Cintiq's that were not this good. Older models i'll admit, but still more expensive to this day. So I highly recommend it for the performance and price. Brad wasn't as enthusiastic about it as I hoped, but i think it's fantastic.
Good to hear as I have one on order! I was also secretly hoping Brad would be crazy enthusiastic but he was very positive overall.
Hey I am currently thorn between this one and Wacom cintiq 16. Basically the same price but I have my hesitation on Huion as they say the resolution is too low for this size screen. How is your experience regarding that issue? How obvious are the pixels really?
@@zalaj9746 I have been using the 22 Plus for a week now and it's very nice to use. Pen feels great, colours are great too. The resolution is not too low for me, Im a professional illustrator and it suits me just fine but you have to decide that for yourself. Depends what you are used to and if coming from a higher resolution screen. For the money it's brilliant. If you want or need more then you have to spend more.
we want to read BRAD's comic !!!!
On his website. Link in description. Just click on the comic tab
Omg I was just thinking to buy this
Brad has that omnipotence. Did the same with me and the Huion H110.
It's crazy
These past couple of weeks a few youtubers have conveniently reviewed displays I was researching.
I still can't decide 🤷♂️🤦♂️😂
@@timothysatyr6674 but this 22 plus is good, big screen, and affordable. Whats the other better option than this?
I don't even have enough money for this-
@@auddyyudhistira2860 what app is he using tell me bro
I've been waiting for your thoughts about this one! I hope it becomes compatible on more android phones in the future.
Thanks for reviewing this model~
Brad, I have to tell you..
You are my Hero when I need to see if I should buy new devices and tools, thanks for all your efforts dude! following you since the first Affinity Designer iPad released.
Thanks much appreciated 😃
I'm drawing European comics since 13 years now. I worked with 1 cintiq 12WX, 2 XP-Pen 22, 1 XP-Pen 24Pro and since 1 year, with the Kamvas 22 Plus. Great Graphic Display. Just 1 thing: The button for the adjusting stand broke yesterday (...when I look at the tiny broken part, I understood why it happened)
But even with this slight default, this is my favorite graphic display until now. The texture of the surface is great, so little parallax; Great tool!!!
I gotta say, out of all the huion device, this screen looks beautiful
The drawing: are ya winning son?
This is legit perfect for me, because I want a screen tablet but I have no use for shortcuts on the tablet itself, since I always use keyboard shortcuts. I'm def gonna look into getting this one.
Did he change it from “I’ll talk to you in a couple days” to “I’ll talk to you in a couple weeks”
Someone: how long have you been watching Brad cowboy
Me: before he changed his channel name from Brad colbow to Brad cowboy
Wait it's now Cowboy
Yee haw
Yee Haw
I’ll do one better; I was there when he was convinced to do so!

Thanks for the informative videos on tablets - i've been using the cintiq27qhd since feb 2016 and it died a few days ago after 7 years of faithful service.
i'm so lost on where to begin for looking for a new tablet - when i got my cintiq huions were around but not nearly as good as they are now, wacom is my main brand but i'm so ready to switch to huion. I dont want to miss out on the size as i'm soooo used to bigger displays.
This video really sold me - that and your video on the huion pro 16.
I think i'll go for this one - i dont want to lose out on size lol
Hello 😄 May I ask have you made the decision to buy it yet? And if so, how is your feeling about it ? 🙂
I bought my CIntiq 27 QHD in Summer 2016, it's still working, but due to its age, I am also start to looking for potential replacement, and so far it seems both the Kamvas 22 Plus and Kamvas RDS-220 (1440p ver.) will be good choices and offer great price-performance ratio.
Amazing product
I came here for the review, Didn't know I needed the glove dance. Thank you mister artist.
I'm changing my kamvas 13 for this one and I'm really excited to test it out :'3
Have you tried? How is it?
I love huion so much, just missing those physical buttons from the previous version
I think it is ok even without. I'm going to buy the 2020 Pro version with "XP-Pen AC19 Shortcut Remote Express Keys Keyboard" which is compatible with most of the tablets.
Hey Brad, Did Huion manage to fix the parallax that used to be present only near the corners of the screen? This issue was very prevalent in Kamvas pro 13 and 12, There would be no paralax in the center of the screen, but it would get bigger the closer to the edge you went. I even remember you mentioning it before on different tablets.
Is this model relevant til today? are there any newer versions of this?
Did you get your answer somewhere else?

Pls make a wacom cintiq 22 vs huion kamvas 22 plus. PLSSSSSSSSSS

I have both Wacom Cintiq and Huion Kamvas 22 (2019), and I'm actually surprised with the quality of Huion Kamvas. Huion has this paper like texture on its screen, which makes illustration comfortable. Meanwhile, Wacom feels glassy. Also Huion Kamvas only uses 1 connection, which is a type C usb. Meanwhile, Wacom has these 3 cable setup. What's more surprising was I bought the Cintiq for 35,000 Philippine pesos ($730) and I bought Huion Kamvas for 19,500 Philippine pesos ($404).
hello sir how is the kamvas a year later? is it reliable?
@@Scofaa Yep, it's still highly durable. I haven't experienced any errors even a year later.
@@Fizz_Dylan12 what laptop do you use btw?
@@meri7927 I use my Huion Kamvas with my Desktop computer, not on Laptop.
@@Fizz_Dylan12thank you, any opinion on wacom 16 cintiq vs kamvas 22 +?
Thank you kabayan!
Thank you for the review, I have just a one question, a little of the topic. The illustration that you worked in this video, is related to the farmer boy, from previously reviews? Are you going to make a comic or something, cuz I'm looking foward to that :)
Ha! I just realize that you changed your name, nice easter egg :))
Great review as always! Just was wondering, is that the same USB-C cable that fits in the Kamvas 13?
One thing you miss (and most other reviewers do too) is what other uses the device can have. For example, can I watch movies on it streamed through my phone ? Desktop publishing, word processing ? Can you attach a keyboard ?
I've been wanting for this review because I wanted to purchase the non plus version o:
Hey Brad really love your videos and art!!! I’m torn on what to do. I have been saving to buy the Cintiq 16 but now that this came out which is bigger and cost less. Should I keep saving for the Wacom or just go ahead and buy this Huion 22 tablet?
what did you end up doing ?
I'm looking to get one by December :)
Hello! Thank you for the review. Do you know if I can use this tablet for Canva, Figma and affinity design as well? I work mainly with vectorial illustration in Affinity design and do UI/UX in Figma. Do you recommend this tablet for me? :)
How does the tilt work? Does the cursor get offset when you tilt the pen? I've heard this is a common issue with huions
Just sitting down with mine in this moment ;)
I just got it today :'D I hope it will be enough for a few years.
Random question...would I be able to fit this tablet in the carry-on luggage? Thank you! Love your videos 😉 I wanted to buy the Huion Pro 24 but it might not fit in my carry-on...which is a bummer. Do you ever travel with your tablet of choice? Thanks!
Thanks brad
I have a Kamvas pro 13 & 16; both have been great over a year now. I think for the price range I will just save a little more and just move up to the 24” model with the better display and many more shortcut buttons.
the 22 plus has the best screen, the best pencil, besides that it is the most recent model, the pro 24 in the only thing that is better is in the resolution, this model is older than kamvas 22 plus
How is the quality on 16?
is it blurry or clean?
Hey Brad, thanks for the review !
I myself am working on an cintiq16 right now, and i'm thinking of upscaling to an bigger screen.
Would this kamvas 22 be a good replacement ?
would like to hear your thougts.
hi! I'm just wondering, is the color blue really seems a bit tinted like cool blue? can't seem to fix it. same device
i’m still in love with my dell canvas 27
RIP Dell Canvas.
Most underrated display tablet ever.
I was just curious to see what it looked like and boy, What a fancy tool you have right there it screamed "architect" to me
Steve yeah it does everything a touch screen does plus more lol.
@@shanewazhere1510 how's the screen surface fare up after couple years of usage? if yours held up well then it'll be quite reassuring since I'm always liked art and the idea of digital art but never really tapped on drawing just yet I've been thinking to buy standalone tablet from apple or android later in near future
instead of these huion
Steve well. it basically turns any pc into a “surface”. if it runs on windows it runs. no mac drivers though. it’s top quality also. wipe it down with its cloth & off ya go again. draw, dj, run touch screen windows etc. pricey but worth it
Hi brad thanks for this very helpful video i love your content and i wanted to ask if this display connectible to the Huion Mini Keydial kd100?
The XP Pen AC 19 remote should work on this, I use it on my kamvas pro 16
I enjoyed the review... Very informative and cool... Would love to do a glove duet dance with you🤣😂
I am still confused reading Brad Cowboy. Love it though
Can you please make an ipad pro 12.9 inch vs galaxy tab s7 plus comparison video ? Love your videos!
I'm about to pull the purchase trigger on the Kamvas 22 Plus. The next step up is the 4k 19. Have you a review of that model?
Hey Brad! Greetings! As always, thank you for another fun and informative review. I'd like your (and anyone else in the thread) input and opinion on my next investment. I am 51 years old and I design and illustrate. I have had an been using a 24HD Cintiq for about six years (a 21ux before that and Intuos pad before that). I like it a lot, it's been in my workflow every day except.. it's killing me a bit and I'm a regular at my chiropractor. This device in my opinion, is just way too big. (It's hard to access a keyboard and mouse when needing these peripherals. I do have it mounted on a Ergotron - LX Desk Mount Monitor Arm. This display is HEAVY and BIG (30" x 18" - viewable is approx. 20 x 12.25" ) (1920 x 1200), it's so heavy that the arm droops. (also, the arms never seem to get the displays low enough unless the angle is higher that I would normally draw. So, what is your current favorite display list current? I'm not missing 4k experience and am fine with 1080 ( I wear glasses when I draw anyway), my question for you... What brand(s) and display size would you consider the best (currently)? I don't mind saving money : ) Lastly, what about going back to a regular non display tablet? Any help, suggestions or ideas are greatly appreciated!
I love your videos😍
Hi love your videos, super helpful! I had a question: Is the XP Pen Remote or the Wacom Expresskey compatible with the Huion Kamvas 22 Plus?
I was able to use my ExpressKey Remote successfully with the Kamvas 22 Plus (I'm on a Mac, but heard of PC users also having success). As I understand it, you want to make sure the Wacom drivers are installed first before you install the Huion. I've read that the XP-Pen Remote will also work fine, but have no direct experience.
the best moment is the glove dance
brad you should animate your character doing the glove dance !!
would you recommend this (Kamvas 22 Plus) or the Kamvas 24 Pro? Would really like to hear your thoughts before I pull the trigger and order. Thanks!
I'm trying to decide between those two as well.
Hi Brad 👋🏼 got any idea about the KENTING KT16 pen display drawing tablet? Or will it be possible for you to review it anytime soon?

I was curious, I was thinking of getting this to take notes on while in medical school. I am by no means an artist but I do like to draw models/reactions. Does it work with one note? thanks so much!
Keep it up!!!
I'm watching this on a Kamvas 22 Plus
Lucky boi!
@rrr cuz its basically another screen that act as a monitor but also lets you draw on it
Hey Great review. Im an illustrator/designer but I'm wondering what you would recommend between the 2020 HUION 22 Plus Graphics Drawing Tablet Vs the Wacom Cintiq 22. (is wacom worth the extra $700?
thanks so much for your help!
For the quality and security of your tablet is more recomendable buy the wacom
Is there a video on how to actually use it? because I was having trouble setting it up it is not touch screen for some reason what do I do?
Can anyone speak to the resolution on this pen display? Brad said that on the Kamvas 22 Studio (same size) also 1080p - the pixels were VERY apparent. Do the pixels stand out on this screen? Should I wait for the next generation to get a higher resolution, or is this a great deal?
If we forget about the display size & portability, how would this compare to the XP-Pen Innovator 16?
Huion is selling this model at a discounted price now. Prolly the next gen 22-inch model is coming.
i have a question that while not relevent to this product i still want to know the answer to from you as it relates to the technically nieche use of the tab s7 as an art tool.
did you test wheter or not the costume air commands with the s pen could be bound to things like undo, redo or certain tools? something like binding the
I’m waiting for them to come out with a 1440p version of this to upgrade from my 2019 Pro 20
OMG Dear Brad How did you manage to get your pen work on the pen display with macbook pro? I bought the Kamvas 22 Plus but no matter how i reinstall the software and check the privacy/accessiblity settings the pen just wouldnt work. How did you first know that the pen works on the display? Thanks!
Ty for that review, i have a old Huion 16 and i want a bigger one, the Kamvas 22 plus will probably my next choice. I wonder if that screen work with a Amazon Fire HD 10.
I'm just waiting over here for a Huion Kamvas with no buttons and thin bezels at 1440p. The moment that drops I'm all in!
Hello, Brad. Thanks for this review of Huion's latest tablet. It looks great, but, the only thing that I'm not happy with is the fact that it doesn't have hotkeys to work with.
But, you know, I've never thought about this that you mentioned in this video: that you can use this tablet as your main screen for your desktop pc. For a digital artist, perhaps buying a pen display tablet instead of a normal monitor will save a lot of money if you're going to buy a desktop.
Lately, I've been thinking about buying a new desktop PC and a new tablet like this one. Still haven't decided whether to buy a Huion or a XP-Pen tablet. But, after watching this video, now it made me thinking: If I'm going to buy a pen display for my computer, is it worthy to buy a monitor? What do you think?
It's not it doesn't have chip core set processors or anything it is 2 monitor not basic
You need a cpu
A monitor is better for you
Uh, sorry to bother you but honestly from what you described to me what suitable for you most is a standalone tablet like surface or any windows based tablet
Pretty much hassle for drawing machine also it sips more power even though you're just using this tablet as main display unless you have an expensive large 27inch drawing display then, it's doable.
I've already count the budget and a tablet cost same or less than buying a desktop (depending on your configuration). Lastly it's up to you :
A. Practicality (all in one tablet)
B. Hassle (room space, power consumption, high price of prebuild machine)
Forgot to add
Used to thinking about buying a desktop but then got me thinking if i wanted to show my physical client the results always have to upload the results or have to carry flashdrive.
Instead of simple clicks with decent sized Build in display i can draw&carry anywhere
For the record, I like using a button pad on the desk over reaching up to the monitor every time.
What do you think better this one or 24 by xp-pen? I can't really decided what one I want
I simply watched to see if I was the only one to get mine without the USBC cord and got my answer. Not a huge deal but annoying. Excited to use it when I get the replacement though!!
question, how do you turn your phone into a touch screen i have the note 8 and im gonna get the huion kamvas 22 soon and i didnt realize that was a handicap i would have to work around :)
Would you prefer this or the Cintiq 16? Thanks, Brad. You are the best.
Depends on your priority? As Brad said, it's 90% of what Wacom pen can do. With the same price range, you can only buy Wacom One. For the Cintiq 16, you'll pay more for the pen features but the tradeoff is color accuracy, size, and stand. For me personally, Wacom budget lineup ain't worth it.
I have this but my colors are sooo off from how it look on my mac and its so hard to color in anything... Feels like I am doing it blindly cause I dont know what the result will look like once I am done. Does anyone know what settings to use to fix this? Or does anyone have the same issue?
Go video. Torn on what drawing tablet to get. I've been drawing on a surace pro for years but want something bigger like this and won't break the bank. This looks like a good fit
I am a newbie with a drawing table having been old-school paper and canvas. I got this monitor and loved it but in trying to calibrate as it was too red, I messed things up and now all my brush strokes are fussy around the edged. I contacted Huion but no response. I have been playing with the settings to fix it but cannot get it right as it was originally to the sharp brush edges, but am getting to the point I have to return in the next two days or am stuck with something that I do not understand and cannot get crisp edges to the brushes. HELP PLEASE.
I thinks it’s pretty good!!!!
Hi Brad, I had a question since I'm still deciding whether to buy a Gaomon PD1161, but my question is, is it better to buy a good drawing app on an iPad or is it better to buy a drawing tablet like the one I mentioned above??
If you are starting out, you can do the $329 ipad and $99 pencil, and maybe a matte screen protector, think there's a $40 one but forgot the name. Wacom One is $399 but needs a computer and I don't think it comes with the almighty pro pen 2. You can try a small intuos pro to get the pro pen 2 and hook up to your laptop/ home pc, usually on sale for $150 to $180 on amazon.
Hi, can I ask something? Which program do u use on your computer to edit things? Thanks for answer
Hello, I am wondering about Kamvas 22 Plus and Kamvas 24 Plus. The 22 is Full HD and has 100 ppi, while 24 is 2.5k and it has 120ppi, is there a noticeable difference in quality display between that two tablets?
Im not getting a wacom anymore. I just got a cintiq 22 and 11 months later slight use, its having a vertical blue line on the screen and warranty support is terrible!
I hear the paralax or lack thereof is as good as the ipad pro which I find unbelievable. Can you confirm this and second, where does the initial activation rank vs the Wacom 24? THanks
GLOOOOVE DAAAAAANCE!
How well does twomon se app in App Store hold up using iPad as secondary display
Hey nice review, Would you say (ignoring price) this is better than the wacom 22? Tempted by these Chinese devices but have used Wacom for over 10 years, trust them but tbh have always wished they would include the better features at lower price.
