- I have never been a super fan of Robocop but I lived through the pop culture hype when this movie hit theaters so it's a character that's ingrained deep. Deeeeep. So I had to give the Medicom MAFEX version a shot. I don't need another Robocop ever again....

The 'duck face' is the scene where he is looking around his former family home and having flashbacks to the past he has lost. He pulls that face before smashing a monitor with his fist.
When I was a kid I had a robocop figure that you put an actual cap into his back and it had a lil trigger to fire like a cap gun. He basically was a robocop figure with built in cap gun. I believe it was the cap gun paper you used. Pretty awesome memory though. You’d never see that in a toy today.
I remember those figures! While I didn't have the Robocop figure, I did have the ED-209 figure with the cap gun paper.

@@TheFwoosh The figures were made by Kenner and the ED-209 was labeled ED-260 on the box for some reason.

I was a bit disappointed that we don't get a Murphy head between three releases. But the robocop 2 version comes with a socket wrench! I'm glad all the reviews I have seen so far for this figure have been positive so I'm good to go. Oh and it's ocp not opc. It happens robo.
Peter Weller won't license out his likeness. Neca has tried for years to no avail. I guess, maybe they could have tried for Robert John Burke with 3, but it would have been weird.

Hot Toys seems to have the money to get further than a lot of other toy companies, given the price differences.
I'm hoping they release an unmasked face at some point maybe as extras with another figure, like they do with their Dark Knight figures. An ED-209 or Clarence Boddicker with Murphy's face, Cobra Assault Canon and bloodied data spike hand would be so awesome.

Awesome review! The way the chest piece fits into the back piece is actually movie accurate. The 1/6 hot toys and 1/4 enterbay figures have it the same way

Neca made one. So it might be slightly bigger than 6in scale ED is a big ass clunky robot so no biggie right?

Its great to have your channel when you feel like watching reviews. AND its SUPER GREAT to hear Mafex is made "STRIIIIIDES" in the last few years! Especially since preordered TAS Spider-Man, TAS Venom, Deadpool, & Robocop 2 for next year. This fig is cool but somehow im not so sure you will withstand from the awesome looking blue ROBOCOP2 version! Your not so sure you will either eh bro? Lol

I'm glad you liked it, Robo! This will be my first MAFEX ever, after wanting to get in the line for quite some time. I already have the Robocop Figma released a few years ago...and that was pretty good! But this seems like it's even better. I did lost one of the pistons in the back of Murphy's ankles, so be careful if the MAFEX has the same issue. When this was announced I just couldn't resist: I think the first one is literally a perfect movie and Robocop 2 is highly underrated (can't believe it's rotten in RT). I can't afford the 2nd one MAFEX is releasing but I wonder if you'll get it.
I hope the QC issues are non-existant with this one, and that a T-800 from Terminator 1 gets released down the line.

Surprising to see a company like this doing a figure of robocop
Seems MAFEX is moving more towards older properties, and I can't say I don't like it. I still want some Star Wars and stuff like that but I'm okay with oddballs too that we won't get from the other import companies.

While I like the good old classic robocop design, i’ve also fallen in love with the robocop 2014 1.0 design over the years. (Not really the black suit from that movie)
I hope they’ll make that version as well some day

I haven't seen the originals, but I assume they are better than the reboot. While I enjoyed the reboot 4 years ago, I can't really remember anything about it, except that I liked the 1.0 suit more than the final black suit as seen on the posters and such.
To me it was the perfect mix of classic Robocop, with a modern touch.

Been waiting for the upload today. Ha, it has become source of entertainment for me.
This figure is pretty great. I received mine in the mail last week (along with all my other pre-orders from amiami), and at first I was disappointed seeing the packaging, but then getting the figure out I was blown away. The only issue with my figure is the left elbow joint being a stuck, and not being able to move it past 90 degrees... haven't tried to loosen it up though.... Also, as a man named Gus, I'd say the same joke as Gus in the skit... haha
Yay! It looks great and mine should be arriving today! I'll have to rewatch the film, but I think I'll repaint the inside holster leg parts

Thx for another gr8 review. And ure not wrong about the looks - when you have this piece in hand its exactly like you said, as remebered in the old movies. The color scheme is also fine for me, love that fig [thou the price point is a lil high for this one]

Yo, Robo. There is actually a swivel at the elbow joint, not entirely that articulated but you can swivel it in 10 degrees, only thing is you need to extend the joint similar to a double jointed elbow, then move it.
9:10 is just perfect.
Ok, I just got mine (for $90, they're getting more expensive it seems) and this is HANDS DOWN the BESTEST BEST Robocop action figure out there! Even better than the Hot Toys version (which is too big of a scale for my liking). This blows the NECA version out of the freakin' water, too!!!!! But the NECA ED-209 would compliment this nicely... don't think Medicon has its own ED-209.
Moth Queen Music OK cool because I was going to buy that Ed 209 and always heard the Neca one went well with it because it was 7 inches tall I would go awesome with the ed209. So in your opinion this one blows the neca one away?

The abdomen area can be wobbly in some samples. He should definitely be more "hippie" 😅 and the abdomen area should be a little shorter as well, that would make this figure perfect! But overall the figure is better than the NECA version

Robo, do note that though there may or may not be bicep swivel in the actual shoulder/bicep, there is a swivel in addition to the hinge at the elbow joint. It only really works when the elbow is already bent a bit, as if you try to swivel when the elbow is straight, the part of the forearm that comes up to cover the elbow joint kinda bends.
Got mine in a couple days ago, and man, I love this figure! Literally the only thing I think they could have done better, aside from maybe adding bicep swivel (which there may or may not actually be already in the figure), is giving him the unmasked Peter Weller likeness, which is kind of impossible due to how hard his likeness is to get. Other than that, basically perfect.
Hmmmm, I'll need to take another look. I know the forearm is on a pin but I didn't notice the upper elbow.

Looking at how they handled the Piston at the ankle is like looking at lost pieces of Freek engineering.

I like the Mafex reviews just for the various pronunciations. Mayfex, Moffex, Muh-fex. Any way you say it, they have definitely upped their game.
I've just got 074 robocop 2 and ok i'm going to buy 067 too because there're actually 2 different chrome silver finishes in 2 movies. The head sculpt is better than figma. But the QC could be better. The chest armor could fall off easily and i have to fix it tightly with blu tack.

I love my Figma and NECA versions, so I'm okay with skipping this guy. Looks like a great figure though, despite the few issues you mentioned.
If you love these, you MUST get this one. It is leagues ahead.
The Mafex is getting more and more expensive that my wallet can't take it anymore, so I hope that NECA will give us another movie Robocop figure as cheaper alternative.

I was in the market to get one from this company and they only have the RoboCop two RoboCop three version available. I was wondering if the RoboCop three version is the same color paint as the first version? Because then I’ll just get the RoboCop two with the RoboCop three version.
I never got the second or third ones. I liked the different shading they used on the second but decided that I was happy with this.

When I got the hottoys version, I thought the head looked too small so I wanted another figure with a bigger head.. this one looked perfect in the pictures but looking at this review, it looks too big.
Only regular fan of movie, still buys $60+ action figure of character, to go with his other action figures of the same character.
Looks pretty good but for 70 bucks I’m alright with the FIGMA and Neca I already have
