    I did the ziti, the eggplant Parmesan, and the artichoke and chicken thigh recipes three weekends in a row and my mother complimented my cooking every. single. time. If you knew my mama, you would know what a big deal this is 😂😂😂

    We need more baking recipes from Alison! I almost forgot that you used to work as a pastry chef back in the day at Milk Bar! Wanted to try this recipe for so long, caught up with life as we all do, and i feel like i wanna bake these cinnamon rolls this weekend and eat everything by myself because clearly that’s what i need right now.     The last cinnamon roll recipe I followed started with coating the pan with 2 sticks of butter. Love your take on these and I agree that the lack of gobs of frosting is wonderful!

    I made these the minute the newsletter came out. Made a whole batch in one. They were gone within two days. The maple syrup brown sugar cinnamon toffee it makes is unholy on your teeth and does make it harden up but it is sensational. A quick 30 seconds in the microwave to reheat and shove in your gob and I genuinely couldn't believe I'd made something that tasted THAT good.

    Trust me, these are perfect as are and would be too much with icing anyhow. I made them with a teaspoon of cardamom in the dough and another in the filling. SO GOOD. Stand mixer's dough hook was MIA so I kneaded by hand which is a touch laborious but very doable.

    Can you do a video on the tiramisu? I tried to make this from the cook book (tiramisu is my fav dessert) but my marscapone turned into butter and it was a total flop. I’m assuming I over whipped it? Went down a rabbit hole trying to figure out if it should have been cold or room temperature, and the cooking gods NEVER explain...so would love to see how you do it.       @@alisoneroman yes! I used a hand mixer just to incorporate the eggs and I also melted the butter (like you recommended). It took a fair amount of hand kneading but it was lowkey relaxing lol

    I have nightmares of horrible culinary degloving incidents every time I stick a spatula in that mixer while it's still going, even on low. And yet...I still do it. I did make cinammon rolls the other week with leftover cardamom I had from another recipe and it gets....a non-degloved thumbs up!

    Love your videos!! If last week’s eggplant recipe makes it into your next cookbook (probably will, it looks divine 🖤) you should take the time to school your readers on the difference between eggplant parmesan and eggplant parmigiana. I learned the sad way when I was too lazy to cook your recipe and ordered in eggplant parmigiana, Hoping & Expecting eggplant parmesan. The two are relatives who basically never see each other except at like funerals

    Just a thought that I will try out when I next make these buns ….. I’m going to dissolve some instant coffee into the maple syrup for the top and bottom glazes. Also into the butter for the interior spread. I love coffee scrolls more than cinnamon buns.

    Hey You! here I am again!🙂 Watching your video which makes my tuesday great as it did last week and before that!
    I have a sweet tooth but never gonna make this recipe. Baking for me is like attempting to paint in oil(yes I am a painter and a poet). it's too much for me to handle right now,but am gonna say this--
    Nobody has ever before jotted down baking in form of definition by by saying baking is 5% luck!
    and 5% luck is 100% true. I can say this for sure because my mom is a good baker.
    nobody before you have said this obvious truth out loud and Am thinking why?
    the only reason I can think of is, It's because of you and only you who can think like that and point out the untold truth to reveal the mystery of baking magic.
    It needed to be told!
    I am a person who doesn't bake, but likes to eat a lot of baked goods. It's been always a treat for me!
    This video seriously made me crave Cinnamon rolls.

    I tried making the dough last night, and woke up to a hard, sad, heavy lump that didn't rise :( I thought my active dry yeast must be too old, but then decided to proof it to double-check and lo and behold - SHE'S ALIVE! Has anyone else had this issue? In the recipe, activating the yeast in warm water wasn't necessary, but I guess my yeast needs it?

    I am sorry that you hurt yourself trying to save the Mixer! I have a Kitchen Aid mixer that looks very similar to the one in your video. Last year, I bought stainless steel and carbon steel accessories ( a hook, paddle and whisk) for it through Ebay. Their weight (compared to the originals) centers the machine - and no more shaking and traveling across the counter. Hope this is useful info!

    Due to some poor planning on my part I found out I was running low on maple syrup right after rolling out my dough 😅So did half maple syrup, half honey and they still turned out great (similar to a Honey Bun but without all of the preservatives).

    Hi, long time Alaesthetic fan here. Love the Stew, love the ricotta dumplingns, cant wait to make these slappy buns!
    Um. I kinda always hate negative comments or just opinionated things but...hi here’s my feedback? I really like the relaxed/hangin with your friend vibe of older videos, and the clips added in to this video were sort of jarring.
