I'm about 23 minutes in as I post this, and I find myself thinking it looks a bit like you're turning the Dragonfire into a Claymore, with that third engine and the widened mid-section. Which is funny, because I've been contemplating changes to my recently captured Claymore II that might make it look more like a Dragonfire.
This ship is awesome, but I think the Ecliptic Claymore is slightly better looking. With the help of your(this) video I did change my Razorleaf(Mantis ship) to look almost exactly like this Dragonfire, because the normal Razorleaf is just okay looking. Thanks for the great videos as always.
Despite using some Freestar territory parts here and there, as the core of the ship is NG and Deimos it is usually associated with UC settlements: New Atlantis, Gagarin, Cydonia, New Homestead. It has a very striking visual profile, but needs some component upgrades to really shine. Also, I'd probably swap that Deimos Control Stations for the Stroud version since, IIRC, that one has seats(!); then repaint the hab to match the Deimos colors.
I've gotten so many Claymores recently, which is a lot like it. Pop those six Walter engines from the quest on it and it's pretty mean looking. You can probably even run those A engines from the quest for even more speed if you keep the weight down.
The base ship has a very interesting profile but it's also very impractical. Nobody needs 1500+ fuel. The could have cut the fuel storage in half and it would have been better served and would probably have even increased the jump distance due to the lowered mass.
So everyone mostly likes it, some claim it is best, based on looks. But you buy it than have to replace reactor, grav drive, shields, add cargo, and probably weapons. So you are really buying the looks and layout.
Unless you buy the tier 3 version, you will need to upgrade certain modules to make combat easier. For the most part, I tried to keep the look of the ship intact

Nice job, you did indeed keep the original style while beefing up the fragile looking center enough to make the ship overall look stronger.

Thank you Sir

I'm loving my Dragon Fire II! I bought it after seeing your previous video on it. Your Space Suit & Helmet look awesome! Where did you find them?
It's a really nice ship, I'm wearing the deep seeker suit and helmet

Helluva ship
I hate how they put all that dirt and damage on the front of that otherwise great looking bridge.
Trying to build this ship, but the max crew from the start is 7 and Im at 4.
Make sure to build it as I did, certain items like turrets and habitats will add to the crew limit
Did a volcano erupt??? Funny
