This one sticks with me too. I almost liked him and felt sorry for him at times. That makes him a «good» scammer i think. Glad he was takling to you and not someones grandma. Let’s hope his encounter with you made him rethink his career. His voice was gone for some time at least.

these videos might seem funny at first but there are multiples cases where those scammers are enslaved and forced to scam people all day; Kit's videos are kinda funny until you realise that the scammers are being abused too. they get into these schemes thinking that they'll have a well paying tech job then their "boss" takes their passports and IDs and force them to scam people to hope to get out of this. this is literally slavery.

Abel represents the most frightening and concerning breed of scammer to me: before things start going off the rails, he actually shows a ton of personality and professionalism, and sounds like he could be an awesome legit customer service rep. Which just makes his cries of anguish and literal shouting all the more entertaining.

meltdown isnt clickbait or exaggeration. He literally brings them to the point of breaking and beyond. this is an art; once they are convinced you are a mark with much to take it's like nothing Kit says or does breaks their tunnel vision. its amazing.
Definitely! I know it hurts Kit to play the rich, boorish, rude or entitled person, but it really does make the perfect bait because scammers see people like that especially as undeserving of their wealth or lifestyle, to make themselves feel that much more guiltless, hardworking or deserving (delusionally, of course). It hits a distandifferent note when Kit plays the person who’s so well off they won’t miss a couple thousand bucks, or the kind of person that would be easy for a low-to-no-empathy scammer to dehumanize, getting their comeuppance by being stolen from, which makes them feel like they themselves are soooo much more worthy of that money by implying inferiority by comparison. Maybe what the scammers hate the most is that Kit’s mirroring them right back to themselves, and they don’t even know it.
This was even better than the original WHY DID YOU REDEEM video from a couple of years ago. I thought that one was impossible to top, but here we are.

No, he was not. It's all part of the scam. Creating what's designed to feel like a connection with the scam victim so the victim feels like the scammer has opened up to them about their life and troubles and has trusted them. It's all part of the "confidence scam" that he is playing. If you go watch the full unedited call, not long after that he asks her if she's married then talks about how he felt they have a special connection and he was planning to call her on his private line. It's all a common tactic when they get a potential victim that they think is a lonely middle aged woman. I don't blame you for falling for it. Our human brains are designed to have empathy and believe the person is being sincere in that situation. In this case though, no. Not a chance.

Someone from the “IRS” called my grandma and said she owed all this money and she was going to get arrested if she didn’t go to the store right the and buy all these google play cards… it was really early in the morning and I was asleep in the next room over and woke up to her crying on the phone about these google play cards and I never ran so fast in my life trying to get her to hang up and console her and convince her it wasn’t real. If it wasn’t for your channel I wouldn’t have known better and my poor Grammy would have been scammed several thousands of dollars. It took several days to convince her that it wasn’t real and no one was going to come after her. These people deserve to rot for taking advantage of people like this, I’ve never seen my Grammy so terrified 😞

You're doing God's work. My gramma got scammed in this way a year or so ago. They had her running all over town. She was absolutely mortified and got really depressed from it. These people are the scum of the earth.
I think the reason he started this channel is because his grandma got scammed real bad too! My father in law gave up a couple thousand right before he died. So upsetting
I was working for a call center once for BT (British telecom) and I had a call from an old lady saying that a man called her saying something was wrong with her lines and that she needed to buy gift cards and give him the codes. She’d already gave him about £200 worth then she said he was calling back later on to get the rest off her. I told her it was a scam and apologised that they did that to her and told her to call the police and tell them she’s expecting the man to call her back for more codes so they can track him and help her. I hope she got her money back. I felt horrible for her and that there’s some disgusting people out there taking advantage of the elderly

Yeah, without the knowledge of hearing these calls, you'd expect scammers like this would at least try to be somewhat clever, but damn, a lot of times they just try to strong-arm you into being fearful. Which makes sense considering their main victims are tech illiterate elderly people with mental deterioration, but that's what makes it more even sad and maddening. It enrages me to imagine one of these guys screaming at my grandmother like this. Utter scum.

I’m not at all saying I have sympathy, but they yell because they spend HOURS being socially engineered by Kit. They become heavily invested and know if they wasted this much time then their bosses will beat their asses legit. It's still a bit disturbing, theyre clearly being driven to extremes to even engage in scamming, i doubt theyre making good money, just very desperate. Yeah they made some bad choices but it's still hard to sit there an enjoy the suffering of another
