Ratchet straps over the top would help keep the top down. Keep the fixed side on the drivers side. Up, over and down through a pair of “U” shape channels. With the ratchets on the passenger side. Ratchet access from side door step. 😎👍

Great idea. We use ratchets once it’s down but that might be a void way of bringing it down, especially single handed 👍👍

On Pinterest I just saw an extremely expensive folding awning for pickup and off road camper, $40,000 dlls!!! Better to build it yourself, the structure is simple to make and automate
