Coach isn't the problem, don't fire the coach. The only exception is if the problem player is too important to trade. That's not true here. Keep the Gorde line, but trade the rest to get some players who have geled with Hakstol better in the past. I can't explain why, but if we hadn't let Sprong go, I feel like we would still be last year's team.
The reason why is your internal biases. Sprong wouldn’t have helped this team much. He barely played defense and there’s zero indication is was a strong locker room presence.
Hakstol needs not to screw up the development of the kids. If he doesn’t play them he’s gotta go. Their progress is the entire reason for the rest of the season
There’s zero indication either of those things is happening.
