Signs of a bad cv axle shaft
*The car or truck, if it's a 4x4 truck, makes a cluncking or grinding or knocking noise when turning left or right due to the CV axle being work or dry meaning lack of grease.
*The whole car or truck vibrates when accelerating and stops vibrating when not accelerating.
*The CV axle shaft has joint play even if it's greased.
*I've also seen cars not move because of a locked CV axle due to lack of grease when the CV axle is completely dry.
