  • In this video, we’re focusing on embellishing lettering with some simple, but striking 3D effects! We’ll begin by centering stacked lettering, adding an inline, then we’ll add in that 3D goodness with an extrusion, extrusion details, an extrusion long shadow and we’ll finish it off with a hairline highlight.

    TECH STUFF + ACCESSORIES I USE
    ✨ This artwork was created on a 5th gen iPad Pro (12.9”, 256GB) with a 2nd gen Apple Pencil using the Procreate app (v.5.1.8)
    ✨ I use the Paperlike screen protector on my iPad Pro, more info here: every-tuesday.com/paperlike
    ✨ I’m also using the NimbleGrip by Uppercase on my 2nd Gen Apple Pencil: every-tuesday.com/grip
    ✨ When not in use, I keep my Apple Pencil in the NimbleStand: every-tuesday.com/stand
    ✨I recommend any iPad listed here for working in Procreate: every-tuesday.com/ipads as they all allow for pressure sensitivity. I only recommend an Apple Pencil because of its reliability compared to other 3rd party styluses

    Do you know why when I used motion blur my “shadow” not only came towards the bottom right as it was suppose to but also the top left?

    • @EveryTuesday
      @EveryTuesday  Před 2 lety

      That's how motion blur works - but you're doing everything right! After you harden the edges, you'll slide it over and down right where it needs to be :)

    I really want to do this tutorial, but where can I find the brush you start with? I can't read on the screen the name and also not good understand what you say. Hopefully you can help me. Thanks already!

    I bought the brush set but for some reason when I write with the bumpy ink brush my letters look way different then yours😫😫

    • @EveryTuesday
      @EveryTuesday  Před 2 lety

      How so? Make sure you're using it at a large size and you should see that variation in texture along the edges. Feel free to send me an email if you're still having trouble! every-tuesday.com/contact

      @@EveryTuesday Hi, Thank you so much for this tutorial. I also purchased the brush set and the bumpy ink brush when bumped even to the max appears to be way thinner. The closest brush that matched the thickness in this tutorial is chunky marker.

      What part is holding you up? If you just opened Procreate for the first time, it may be a little overwhelming, but a basic understanding of the tools is all you'll need for this :) My free course here can help with all the rest! every-tuesday.com/5x

      If you hit the gear icon in the bottom right of youtube's player, you can adjust the playback speed to whatever works best for you 👍

  • @juliaparsons4631
    @juliaparsons4631 Před 2 lety +1

    Way to fast to follow, jumping from one thing to the other without even pausing for breath. so did not enjoy

    • @EveryTuesday
      @EveryTuesday  Před 2 lety

      Unfortunately there’s no perfect speed to record tuts that suit everyone’s preferences, but if you hit the gear icon in the lower right of the CZcams player, you can adjust the playback speed to make me go as fast or as slow as you’d like.
