I don't know I was pretty amazed at the lack of safety warnings in the second half. You know if that light bulb failed a different way or you touch the wrong part of the board it's live at voltage and the only thing keeping you safe is the insulated lineman needlenose pliers. Might be kind of important to let people know. So yeah I feel pretty amazed, I don't think this is what they meant though.

I still don't get why you would go through cutting a peice of tin to glue it. When all you need to do is either remove the led and bridge the contacts with a soldering iron or a small peice of wire soldered to the contacts both are a much better permanent fix than this way.
I don't know, could be for anyone that simply doesn't own any soldering equipment?

Why go through all that, just go buy a new bulb.
There are some serious problems by doing so. You see the LEDs are in series, and that means if you short one of them, the rest will each get an increased voltage. And that's exactly when things get worse because LEDs aren't as tolerant to high voltages as other things, say incandescent lights. If you happen to have another working LED with the same specs, swap it on. Otherwise just get it recycled and buy a new one. LEDs aren't as pricy as it used to be. It's 2023, do more things that worth your time.

Question certified to what standard is the bulb now you have modified it. Cheaper to get a new bulb than carry out dubious modifications. If modified light bulb was cause of your house burning down I doubt insurance companies would pay out.
